Nice job finding the real problem, definitely helps when you know all sensors and transducers are reading accurately 👍

thanks brother, some guys were asking for these types of videos, so i think I'm going to be doing more of them if they are helpful

Doing a start up on an AGZ and the flow switch is tripping after 15 seconds of run time...and the Delta P isn't changing and is set perfectly, flow switch is calibrated properly....this video is full of great information

excellent, did you get er? the book has the flows by model # also. i have had issues with the AGZ tripping as soon as a compressor kicks on..
if your 100% on flow, flow switch is calibrated for slightly below the min flow for the model, and you dont have any air in the piping, then double check the orientation of the flow switch.
it should be at a 45, sometimes the factory will ship the chiller with it straight up and down. if this is the case, just loosen the vic, and turn the pipe a bit.
depending on the Software version, you can also program a delay for the flow alarm if its just for a split second. hope this helps brother! let me know

Having the same issue with an AGZ100 faulting out on low flow and evap 1 pump faults only when the compressors cut on. Did you figure out why this happens?

@@danielbranham2944 sometimes when a compressor goes to start a small amount of turbulence will be created in the piping, and it can cause a trip.
      1. Be 100% sure your flow is correct.
      2. Be 100% certain your flow switch is calibrated.
      3. Make sure the flow switch is oriented correctly. If you have the SI5000 Thermal dispersion switch, then Google the manual for it, it should be mounted in the side off of the stub. Sometimes they mount them straight up from the factory.
Check all of that, and let me know what you find out.
There is also some flow switch delay settings, but I don’t thing you will want to mess with any of those.

I’m certain the flow is correct.
I’m certain the flow switch is calibrated, have had a number of Daikin certified start-up technicians look at that and re-calibrate.
I’m certain the flow switch is installed as recommended.
Flow switch shows acceptable flow when only pump runs, as soon as compressors kick on the flow drops below threshold and trips out and compressors cut off, then flow on flow sensor goes right back to acceptable.
I had luck cutting one of the circuits off and the flow maintained when it started it up, then cut the second circuit back on. But that’s not run type conditions.

@@danielbranham2944what do you mean cutting one of the circuits off? Could you elaborate?
Also, is your evap pump ran from the Microtech or the building automation system?

Awesome video. I lost it when you mentioned the 3/4 in bypass valve. Wtf 😂
This was cool though for someone in the process of learning chillers. Thank you!

Thanks for talking about this. Had the same issue for quite some time. Our chiller does multiple fan coils with two way valves and programming cannot open bypass quick enough on differential pressure change when demand stops, flow shutdown.

    • @TheChillerGuysHub
      @TheChillerGuysHub  5 місяців тому +1

absolutely brother. did you guys get the programming side of things resolved? typically they can close the two way vales in steps to allow the bypass time to respond, unless they are just open close valves? Also, a good rule of thumb is no more than a 10% change in flow or load the chiller sees in a 10 minute period. let me know if your still fighting this, and if you draw me up a small diagram, i can do a video on how it should be set up in the automation. I'm sure others would find it helpful as well. let me know brother
@isaiahkassy2615 actually requested i do more service call videos, so i will be doing more of these.
