All the people who hated on this song and this MV got the message wrong. It isn't just about lust. It's about desire. If they hated this for being too gay, then they missed the point. This MV was made to aestheticize the body, the moment and the atmosphere in a sensual way. This is a very smart and intelligent piece of work.
aetheticising the body is pretty...queer (which is honestly great?? plus there is an element of discovering one's sexuality here as well imo and it's great to see how fluidly it's represented)
Can we all just all take a moment to appreciate how brave they are for making this song and music video- it's pure art. Don't let the negativity bring you down, you all made AND pulled off a masterpiece. Anyone who can't appreciate that is just missing out.
I was literally thinking the same thing as I watched. Pulling off a sexy concept is incredibly difficult I'm sure and they certainly pulled it off despite having to really put themselves out there. I'm not familiar with most of their songs but I do love the group nonetheless and hearing their beautiful voices was an amazing way to start my day. Lastly, I also sincerely hope that they won't be put down by any negativity and to continue exploring and trying out any concepts they want to incorporate into their songs. OnlyOneOf fighting!!!
@@morningsminion3242 Because when it comes to topics such as natural attraction and the more “touchy” side of love, kpop is pretty conservative. They are also really brave for staying consistent with the more “questionable” dance moves, they still do them in live stages even though some people may be very critical about it. I hope that makes sense 💗
I swear the people who are against this are the ones who obsessively ship members together. Like it's all fun and games until there's a chance that they might be attracted to each other or even be lgbtq and then they start spitting fire because they now don't "have a chance" with their idol. ANYWAYS I will be back later today to listen to this song cuz it's really good.
My homosexual male self is so happy with this. It's so cool and sexy, but cute. I just listened to them today because I was looking for new music and I'm sure I'll stan them.
idk why people only pays attention to the some scenes. like libidO is actually a cultural reset and a unique concept. the vocals, dance steps, color pallettes, theme or the message of the mv. it literally breaks every kpop/korea stereotypes. stan onlyoneof y'all!
I’m glad they do pay attention to OnlyOneOf at all though! Everyone has a different frame of reference and attention span so I can’t expect them to appreciate everything the way I do. But i am pretty happy they’ve managed to find OnlyOneOf in the first place and perhaps when they grow more mature and attentive, they will be able to fully understand everything there is to the concepts. 👍
"The title track “libidO” shares the boy’s impulsive mind through the expressions of S.Freud. The mind’s energy “libidO” is considered as a feeling that shouldn’t be openly talked about in real life and should be concealed, so its existence is often denied. However, the more the boy tries to suppress “libidO”, the stronger it gets and the more impact it has on his subconscious behavior. " I'm sorry but they literally made a song about something that's taboo in Korea, lgbt community and sexual desire. This group is something else. I love them for it and they are super brave. PLus the song is really cool!!
This whole song is just about sexual tension... and then the video shows tension between members and then beautiful cinematography. Everyone looks amazing and the song is really good too
Whatever opinion you have, you have to admit OnlyOneOf is doing it different. No big group could even THINK of doing something as intimate and raw as this and that's just the truth.
@@banyakuang3290 I don't stan OnlyOneOf, I appreciate many groups. I didn't say they were better but that they were different, and their style is very defined in the scene which I can appreciate.
I feel you. I'm so tired of boy crush and agressive concepts in Kpop. That's why I really love OnlyOneOf. They're stirring a conversation that's uncomfortable to some people. They're very brave and I salute them for that.
Okay, so this is by far the riskiest move that a boy group has ever taken in the industry, but I am not complaining at all, this is sexy, but not a trashy/dirty cheap sexy, this is rather a classy cinematic, well-thought concept that deserves lots of recognition and I really hope these guys achieve a lot with this comeback. I'll definitely be checking more content from these guys.
@@realmothchu It's actually not really queerbaiting because they're depicting actual gay relationships in a non harmful or stereotypical light. Queerbaiting would be if they hinted at gay relationship or a gay character without actually showing that relationship and/or person as actually gay. In the behind-the-scenes of this MV shooting the members said that they were showing actual relationships in the MV, and the MV does not depict the relationships in a mocking or fake way but in a natural way. While it's true that a lot of groups play up fanservice with each other to appeal to lgbtq people (or straight women that fetishize gay relationships 🙄😬), this MV and concept is not that! It's not fanservice or queerbaiting, but actual representation!
The fact that they are playing partners in this me is just so heartwarming to see the lgbtq+ community that I’m a part of in kpop. As long as they don’t feel uncomfortable doing it.
You can watch their MV behind that they posted in this channel~ The guys participate in the creative process of all their concepts and even make their own choreography!
I hate that their getting backlash for this. I rlly hope they keep exploring this concept of same sex love and attraction. We need more songs like this 👌🏻
What I like about the video is that it doesn't portray gay relationship in a stereotypical or oversexualised way. Apart from, uhm *that* part, the imaginary is actually very subtle. It portraits a teenage love as something delicate and unsure, but at the same time sensual and beautiful. It's a really well made and meaningful video.

@@jellyyuyu8260 I absolutely agree, even though I don't know about their structural universe since I haven't been following them but even if I just look at it as a solo song connecting it with the perspective of Freud who literally described it as a force that energizes the id ( which is an instinctual energy responsible for sexual desires and aggression residing in the unconscious) their choreo and song totally represents that. People on the internet were literally talking that they are fetishizing gay people. Like what!? They're taking up a topic that represents sexual desires and they are an all boy group so they have to dance with each other how in the world does that fetishize gay? They're literally representing something that resides in all of us. I genuinely hope people get educated on this before sending unnecessary hate and as you said , actually READ the description box because they're just making themselves look stupid at this point.
libidO is all about the artistique point of view of human desire in general (homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual, etc...) which is beautifully natural. this boys risked it all for showing the concept in an elegant manner. i love the delicate way they treated such a taboo topic.
It's time for kpop to move to another level. It can't always be sweet and pure. The choreography didn't shock me at all, you see much worse things in North America. On the contrary, I believe it is sensual but there are also very suggestive choreographies in kpop. I've seen so much skinship in well-known bands that I don't understand people who get offended.

I'm really confused, because the mv was really gay
May be the word 'Girl' represents his lover boy who is so beautiful like a girl?? 😬😆

That's Junji. You should check out his current look.

I guess that if the MV was with girls in it, no one would have said anything... you know what I mean? So, folks, open your mind and appreciate this bold concept, huh? I genuinely love how they acknowledge sexuality is a valid and real thing of coming of age and that not everyone is heterosexual with this video. It’s so tastefully done and the music it’s self is catchy as hell. They did a phenomenal job as did their team.

The most straight mv ever.
I'm not usually a shallow person, but the fact that Junji has hidden his face for so long is just a crime to humanity...
he didn't really have a choice, if i'm not mistaken their company made him do it.
@@daisilyy Really? I didn't know that. Either way, it was a crime to humanity, lol!

The visual element being rather quiet, natural, and personal while the instrumental and vocals are very heavy, loud, and techy(?) is fun

Can we just appreciate how brave and bold they are to pull of such a concept
Big respect for them. I just want to say...
- I hope more people will appreciate them 'cause they are all really good and talented
- I hope there's no people will hate and criticize them
- I hope people will not cross the line. Like some BL fan... It's okay if they ship them but I hope not to the point that they want them to make it real or make a video clip about them (I see many BL fan like that)
Ikr??
The concept is so bold And so well pulled off and also Junji looks like a Greek god
@@iam2563 true they are performing it's not related to their real life and seriously I don't like shippers especially when they ship idols to an extent like chill dude don't assume others sexuality and let them be.

@@You_Rage_Quit the concept is psychology lmao. they couldve easily have brought in female actors to do the scenes.
aetheticising the body is pretty...queer
(which is honestly great?? plus there is an element of discovering one's sexuality here as well imo and it's great to see how fluidly it's represented)

Could you specify in what way they are "brave?" Thanks.
@@morningsminion3242 I think that she/he refers that they are brave in the way of doing this type of concept that is not well seen in Korea
@@morningsminion3242 Because when it comes to topics such as natural attraction and the more “touchy” side of love, kpop is pretty conservative. They are also really brave for staying consistent with the more “questionable” dance moves, they still do them in live stages even though some people may be very critical about it. I hope that makes sense 💗
yess
happy birthday queen you'll always be famous
I swear the people who are against this are the ones who obsessively ship members together. Like it's all fun and games until there's a chance that they might be attracted to each other or even be lgbtq and then they start spitting fire because they now don't "have a chance" with their idol. ANYWAYS I will be back later today to listen to this song cuz it's really good.

Agreed 🙌
and kpop was never the same after this masterpiece. i would say they opened a new door, but is more like the broke down the entire wall.
I'm sorry but they literally made a song about something that's taboo in Korea, lgbt community and sexual desire. This group is something else. I love them for it and they are super brave. PLus the song is really cool!!

I'll definitely be checking more content from these guys.
Please FACTS
theryre queerbaiting.... nothing new in kpop 💀
It's not fanservice or queerbaiting, but actual representation!

also if you do join the fandom, early welcome! our fandom name is lyOn ^^

I agree with you
fr you could’ve see a literal gay sex scene in a western mv and no one would bat an eye. but if there is more than one shirtless man in a scene in a s. korean mv, the world will end 💀
