- Today’s guest is former Army Special Mission Unit Operator and combat veteran Craig “Chili” Palmer.
Chili served in the 75th Ranger Regiment in both 1st Battalion and the Regimental Reconnaissance Company. A week after reporting to 1st Battalion he made his first combat jump into Panama for Operation Just Cause. After two years as a Military Free Fall Instructor, he was selected for the U.S. Army’s top tier special mission unit where he served for another 17 years, making 13 combat deployments during the Global War on Terror. He retired as Sergeant Major. Post-military, he has worked in research-and-development on military technologies that benefit special operations forces. He is also a firearms instructor for SIG Sauer and Viking Tactics.
His extensive combat and weapons experience has made him a highly sought-after expert in Hollywood as a military technical advisor. Chili’s film credits include How It Ends, Extraction, The Gray Man, and Extraction 2, set for release in 2023.

Chili is such an absolute legend. Glad to see him doing a few interviews now!
Chili was an instructor at all the VTAC classes I took at Sig Academy. Great dude. It’s been several years since then and I am glad he is doing well.
I had the opportunity to train with Chili and Kyle. Hands down the best I’ve ever trained with.
Hey Jack and Chili. Love the stories. I did Inf OSUT summer 88'. Later stationed at Benning 91-92. My friends who were in Panama were Sonnenshiene and Wishanski and Orange.
It's quite unsettling seeing how non threatening and ordinary these CAG guys look. The Dam Neck guys seem to look rougher and meaner lol.
They want the grey man.
Reassuring how well trained and led they are
They work at it. Real beauty takes effort.
Steroids/HGH/test etc. all affect appearance - even changing facial features - and that’s (probably) a big contributing factor.
My birthday is March 19th and I remember the evening I turned 7 watching the news and the cruise missiles going in. Pretty wild birthday as a kid haha! Awesome show

I was in basic training at Fort Dix from November to January. I remember them pulling us out put us in formation because you’re not allowed to watch TV or read newspapers and they just let us know that the Rangers and the 82nd had jumped in the Panama and they said welcome to the Army.
I’m not sure what was more impressive in the one-shot action scene from Extraction:
A) Chris Hemsworth being able to nail all the stunts back to back
B) the film crew being able to move and simultaneously get all the stunts on camera in one shot
Haven't you seen John mcphee's review of extraction? ,you can find it on his channel 👍🇬🇧
I've seen several interviews with Craig, and I have yet to hear anyone ask him for a chili recipe.
Wow
River Street. Many fights and a many careers ended because of River Street.
Wasn't there a "Chili" Palmer in the movie "Get Shorty"? That was a fun movie.....
You are correct. Also in the follow up there was one in the movie "Be Cool" played by John Travolta as a mobster getting into the music industry.
❤️👍🏻🇺🇸🥃
are the 5 I's the 5 tier 1 units?
5 I 's are the 5 country's that the US military/government work "very" closely with!

Why you skip over the RRD part?
What you complaining for? Just enjoy the interview....ffs!
@@nickjohnson710 it’s a question not a complaint.
@@G4x5da I've seen all of chilli's interviews, watch the DTD podcast with Chris vansant that's a longer interview......🇬🇧
The Team House interviews an RRD dude twice. They are fantastic.
Can we just agree on a name for the Delta Force and stick with it? And stop pretending its a secret, lol.
Depending on who's in charge, and who's the Government......Let's just settle on SMU for the time being!
HAAF was the best base!! Sav was amazing!
