Thank you!! I am taking MS3053 and Covid has impacted the resources we have for classes and I am glad that this is a very comprehensive video of this example.
Thank you very much for a great tutoring lesson. As a "low" tech guy with limited uses of Excel, I really appreciate your step-by-step instructions on using Excel Solver to solve this problem.
Hi. If the question is asking to do a linear programming model and show the spreadsheet template, is it mean that I have to name the constraints instead of just typing 'constraint 1,2,3'? Or it is based on the question?
Thanks @Steve for wonderful tutorial. I have 4th degree polynomial (Quadratic) cost function to minimize, can you guide how to do it in excel to get minimum cost? Thanks
Hi steve i had a similar model as this however if its possible i would like to get in contact with you to see how i could work things out as i am facing some boundaries feasibility issue from solver.

You’re welcome. Glad it helped. Good luck in your class.
@@crowsmathclass Could you do one using three x variables and three y variables?

Congratulations for this excellent tutorial!

very good. Matches the answer on the example in my textbook. now i know how to do it by excel, and by hand. Is there a way to generate a graph?
I don’t believe you can graph this in excel.
This was excellent, very thorough. Thank you
Thank you.
Shouldn't the solving method in solver be "Simplex LP" instead of "GRG Nonlinear"?
was about to ask the same thing. i think it was supposed to be simplex LP right?
Yeah me too
Thank you. This was very helpful 🙏
You’re welcome. Glad it helped.

What if instead of 11 units of carbohydrate there is 11% of carbohydrate? Do we need to write same 11% or 0.11?

Thanks a lot for your contribution
You’re welcome.
thank you for sharing u save me a lot of time and it was very clear god bless you
Thank you. Glad it helped.
Thank you so much for the very detailed walk through!!
You're welcome. Glad it helped.
What does “Set objective must be a formula” mean??
why use the non-linear solver and not the simplex linear solver?
Wow! U explained this well. Thanks
Thank you. Glad it helped.
Thank you for the video, Explained nicely.
Thank you. Glad it helped.
Hiii I’m super stuck on a similar problem like this, it would be great if I can get in touch with you and get some help!
Huge thanks, sir!
You’re welcome.
Thank you so much, sir! :)
You’re welcome.
Hello when I am doing the dollar stuff i do not get 0 but the normal answer
Thank you.
You’re welcome.
OMG!! THANK YOU MUCH!
You’re welcome.
Thanks!
You're welcome. Glad it helped.
my solution cell kept showing an error in value
Wait a minute... aren’t you Dixi Cryptid?¿?¿
EGWOLF LANG MALAKAS
where the graph bro
N4SH LIT Don’t need a graph. Excel is solving for us.
Steve Crow How do we know the feasible region? I thought we only can get that region by using graph only
Excel is taking care of all that.
Steve Crow Okay thanks for sharing the video and answered my questions
you made it look so easy! thank you!
You’re welcome
