Moleskine paper is generally reviled by fountain pen people. Ink feathers and bleeds worse on it than others like Rhodia, Tomoe River, Clairfontane and others. For a livelier, truer warm red that isn’t too light, I recommend Diamine Red Dragon. It behaves well but is not water-resistant.
Great video and I really like your style of drawing! If you are looking for a brighter red, then maybe try Diamine Red Dragon or Matador. It's also fine if you want to shake your fountain pen ink, in fact some inks (especially ones with shimmer particles) need to be shaken. Typically you just want to gently invert the bottle so you don't introduce too many air bubbles, but ultimately just have fun with it!
Thanks! As far as the color goes, I'm happy with it, I was just saying it looks more vibrant in the images that I saw. I will be checking out some other reds soon tho! I'll shake gently next time, thanks for the tip!
Oxblood is a gorgeous colour, but if you were wanting a reder ink try Diamine's Writers blood or Dragon blood. Daimine inks are really great and affordable for both writing and drawing enjoy
You don't have to shake such an ink. You shake shimmering inks, containing small decorative particles. Your interesting review has inspired me to purchase Oxblood from Diamine.
I think this might be the closest to blood red that I have right now, but if there are any that you're curious about let me know and I'll do an episode about it!
Diamine also makes a ink called writer’s blood that is more maroon or deep red than ox blood. This ink is designed to look like a dried blood color monks use to use back in the day, while writers blood looks more… well blood of a writer lol.
I'm amazed, how little subscribers a content of this quality has. Deserves a whole lot more, no doubt
Thank you! I'm just getting started with my channel. I figure I'll just keep making the best videos I can and people will notice! Have a good one!
I like the different directions your videos go. Excited for the next one
Thanks man!

The ink really does look like OX Blood.
Yeah, it's a cool color for sure!
Bravo! You've exceeded my expectations.

Love your Art Great Videos 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Great review, it has helped me a lot.
Glad to hear it!
If you have not used it in awhile its a good idea to shake it a little since it can separate.
That's a good call!
I have some of that ink, and it is defo more brown than red, I was not keen on it at first, but it is kinda growing on me
I actually just inked up a pen with it oddly enough, it's really nice!

I wish I had a voice like that 😲

Got any recommendations for blood red ink?

@@jeremyeicke3682 I'm going to pick that one up too, I'm excited to try it!
Noodler's Red Black is quite excellent for a 'blood' red ink.
Some inks need to be agitated before use and filling, not truly needed for some but it almost never hurts.
I usually give em a little swirl nowadays. Thanks!
Boat motor.
It totally looks like an alien boat motor, haha!
