I thought teslas wireless energy hypothetically used one of the following: What some are calling "scaler waves" or the Earth itself as a ground or antenna which was combined with magnetic induction or resonance coils which had their range extended by the Earth being part of the antenna and a 1-3mghz ham radio transmitter as the resonate frequency set at 1,000,000 volts or above just with lower amperage.
The idea being a big wire is the planet in his global circuit so it is always able to transmit anywhere on the Earth and not just bounce around the ionosphere to deliver free wireless energy. Tesla also said something about being able to send power directly through the Earth and use it as a resonate antenna because it rings like a bell and has a resonate frequency itself. There is some Swedish inventor whom has been playing with this idea on youtube somewhere saying this is actually creating what Tesla was calling scaler waves which I am not really sure exist but it is fun to play with the idea. Just be careful you do not zap yourself or collapse a building if you do rediscover some of this supposed phenomena.
On a side note, I think hiding tesla coils inside flag poles is the coolest thing you can ever do for wireless energy transmission.

There is a court case where Tesla had to defend himself (sadly failed) against the one funding that giant tower of his, he had sent 300 foot poles into the earth (under 120 foot tunnel system) and it states something like he had to "grab the earth" or some such.
"In this system that I have invented it is necessary for the machine to get a grip of the earth, otherwise it cannot shake the earth."

Yea it seems to me the tower at Wardenclyffe had many similarities to the Great Pyramid including the use of ground water and I heard the location was chosen by it's proximity to a Leigh line (magnetic line of the Earth or like one of the lines of a toroidal vortex like in my profile picture. The Schumann resonance is the sound of the Earth's bell. It appears to me that the Great Pyramid used the sound created by cavitating water in a vacuum to resonate with that of the Earth.

How she did that who knows but that's what his own autobiography states. Tartaria is interesting but if it was so powerful I don't see it being this erased. yeah that meme seems to be very popular. But it is not actually factual. N.Tesla had a contract with J.P.Morgan to build a demonstrable transatlantic communication. But IMHO N.Tesla got obsessed with wireless power transfer instead, probably because he had given up what royalties he may have earned via his patents with wired AC transmission. Fairly sad actually because he did learned how to focus the frequency of his spark gap transmitter and modulation, he could have had a new run at being prosperous. But soon other more efficient radio transmission methods of other inventors, and and the Flemming valve took over as the leading technology. Look into the court proceeding to do with selling off his property to find out about this back story.

Hi Paul, great video! I believe that I read somewhere that in his the later wireless energy experiments, Tesla used a mercury jet spark gap. It was run by a synchronous motor for accuracy and the electrodes were kept under a vacuum to make the interruptions very accurate. Rumor has it that he was able to produce almost as clean of a signal as the later vacuum tube designs, only with much higher power. We may never know how clean the RF from his later experiments was, but we do know from some of his notes that he was able to get his system to work at a distance of I think 13 miles when he did his experiment in Colorado Springs. Very little is written about his tower in New York and most of what you hear is just rumors and conspiracy theory, not very much scientific fact. Unfortunately, the AC polyphase system along with modern radio was already heavily funded by the investors of the time. Who knows how different it could have been! I haven't thought about this stuff for a long time. Thanks for the very thought-provoking video!!

I lived 5 mikes from Teslas old lab in Momument,Colorado, which is owned by the Colorado Mining Museum.
They used to have what was left in his lab on display that wasn't confiscated after his death.
And other devices based on his inventions.
Had a 10 lb. Mining pan in three circles that lit up when you energized it.
The pan would hover in the field produced, and you could touch the pan and try to push it down, annd that pan wouldn't move for anything.
Which essentially was a demo of maglev in operation...in 1977,when I saw this.
The damned museum sold off most of it to buy more mining machinery for display.
When I visited the museum in 2009,no one there even knew that room had even existed.
Whatever was left was interred in the big barn on the hill above the museum that was still there from his time.
No one was allowed in that barn without the curators permission and no one had gotten permission from him to that time to see what was left in that barn.
There was still the foundation of the tower he built.
Tesla went to Egypt to study the Cheops pyramid complex, and figured out it was an hydrogen osmosis power plant.
Then came back and bought that property to reproduce the technology the Egyptians had produced.
One clue was the water Aguifer discovered under the pyramids, and there is a water aquifer under the property in Colorado where his lab was.
It's was recycling water from the aquifer and using it as fuel to power the complex in Egypt.
    Same in Colorado.
We had a chance with Tesla to be as bright and advanced as the Egyptians were in their time.
Egypt fell because of climate change and the capacitor being stolen in the great pyramid that was in the Kings Room running it all.
Egypt had electricity 3500 years ago.
And the modern world buried it all for the sake of capitalism, and controlling the populations here.
Our real heritage of the world was denied us and Tesla tried to bring it back to us.
And now you know the real truth of things.
You can check what I'm saying based on Egyptian engineers who in the last decade put all the evidence together and figured out what Tesla knew about Egypt.
I'm not for any gain telling you this or some nut bag conspiracy fool,I'm an engineer myself and it all makes sense what has been found.
Tesla was the verification of that by what he built there, because it worked, and few understood what he did.
Only the ones who did,did everything to bury what he built there.
When I figured out by being on his property what he was doing,it left me shaking in the implications of what we could have had.

Do you have any information on hydrogen osmosis power plant's? I am also in the electrical field, I fix welding equipment, plasma cutting equipment and generators... and well I knew that the pyramid was the basis for telsa's tower, and that the pyramid itself had power generation, conduit, and insulation... but I have never found out how the generation of electricity from underground aquifers work, I assumed the water was running through a bed of permanent magnets or something along those lines, like that it was a natural underground water-table pass-way with certain elements embedded in it that allowed for some type of generator.
I want to learn about it and see if I could dabble in making something small scale as I have access to cheap industrial components from scrapped machines and otherwise. Permanent magnet motor/generator is on the bucket list too....Just not keen on a clam-shell style. Anyways anything you might have on the subject would be appreciated, I never went to school to learn other than to MFG. Classes to get certified. actually, Paul was demonstrating "inductive coupling". Where one inductor "couples" with another because of a "field." of energy. Think of the field a lodestone pits out (i.e. magnet). Transformers work this way, hence an "isolation transformer" works without directly connecting to the source.

Hi Mr. Carlson - -some years back I was standing in a church parking lot adjacent to my front driveway. Dark clouds were approaching. I was speaking with a number of younger folk when a burst of sparks came off a power line about 70 feet in front of me. A yellowish-orange "ball" floated across the street from those power lines and over a rat rod parked in my driveway. None of the folks with me knew that was a remarkable occurrence so didn't think of pulling out cellphones for a video. (I didn't and still don't own such a phone) Anyhow, as we expected to be rained upon, I walked with a friend back to my house (about 60+ feet) and when we went past the Jeep rat-rod there was a bright flash behind us. Another fireball had come off the lines, following nearly the same path. That driveway is cut into a hill so once the fireballs crossed the Jeep, they only had a few feet more travel before hitting that elevated chunk of land. The first ball which I saw looked to be perhaps 20 - 24 inches in diameter. The one which passed about 10 feet behind us hit higher on the hill. There was no ozone smell and no evidence of foliage being burned. The part which I thought interesting was that when the ball behind (and above our height) dissipated, there was a sound like a "ZZZzzzttttt" much like one would hear from one 60Hz Jacobs Ladder arc. Why might it made that "AC" sound? What might have happened if one of the balls had made contact with a person? It was interesting as I can't drive and go nowhere to have what I think was real ball lightning come to my place ;^)

@@MrCarlsonsLab - do you have any idea why that ball, when hitting the hillside of my driveway made a sound like a partial travel of a 60Hz Jacobs ladder arc? Could emanating off the power lines have something to do with that? It was an AC sound "ZZZZzzzttt" vs a "snap" like from a cap discharge or electrostatic generator.

WoW... What toys you have Paul!
Great demonstration in the transmission of RF energy using tuned coils. That Tesla transmitter is visually stunning. Looks like it should belong in a museum somewhere. Beautiful job in building it.
One thing that I did notice right away was the distance from the transmitting coil that the bulb would fluoresce compared with the distance of the remote coil to do the same. Very predictable of course, but interesting to actually witness.
    J. Paul Getty canned the whole Tesla transmitter project because he couldn't charge anyone for its usage, as we all know. The he should have realized that the rotary spark generator was so broadband RF noisy that he could charge people for cable radio service instead. LOL

I got me an Old sign Transformer and some number 8 copper wire 72 inches long, Cut the wire in half and mounted the two wires about 4 inches apart at the bottom, and bent them apart at the top about 12 inches. Put a Light Switch on the Sign Transformer to turn it on and and put a plug off the switch to plug into and AC Outlet o My Work Bench. On a shelf over my Work Bench I set up the copper wires and underneath the shelf I had the High voltage conductors run up to the Number 8 copper wires. When I switch on the power, I had me a traveling Arch... I was experimenting with Electricity, and studying Electronic at an early age. My Dad and two brothers were Electrocution's . Back in 1971 when serving in the US Army stationed over in Vietnam, I worked in a landline secure teletype facility as an operator. Part of our jobs involved tuning the teletype machines so they would perform properly. This involved a tuning fork with a sort of mechanical eye, two pieces of steel that nearly meet at the center of the fork. When the fork was struck, and you looked at the spindle on the electric motor that ran the teletype machine, the three white dots on the spinning spindle would appear to stop if the motor was running properly, if not there was a way to adjust the motor speed to the proper RPM so the machine typed the right letters when a signal was received from the remote mate some hundreds of miles away. Soldiers do get bored, even in a combat zone, and they do begin to play around with their equipment, so it was that we did use the forks as you say, putting a still one next to a ringing one to see if they would begin to ring as well, of course they did. Each machine had it's own fork, but they were all the same, and one fork could be used to tune all 8 machines we had online at one time. Fun stuff this learning experience.

    1. Is the spark gap, on the traditional Tesla Coil meant to produce a spread of frequencies to excite resonance in the coil, the way the white noise in the breath if a flautist, produce a tone?
    2. Wouldn't it make more sense (be more efficient) to replace the spark gap with a sine wave oscillator, tuned to the resonate frequency of the coil?
    3. Wouldn't Tesla's scheme to fill the air with "wireless energy" wreak havoc on anyone touching metal? Wouldn't there, even, be instances of arching, all over the place, and even the potential of fires and explosions due to that arcing?

Nice demo but very vague. Would be nice to give numbers: frequency, power in, power out (transfer efficiency) and the fact that near-field power drops with almost cube of distance (like in RFID resonant power transfer). Nevertheless, resonant power transfer works over really long distances - such as classical radio.

    • @Paul-gz5dp
      @Paul-gz5dp 6 років тому

Basically what I see is that the value of the two shorter coils is half the inductance of the larger coil. When connecting them in series the two coils are then at the same resonate frequency. That is because everything in the world has a resonate frequency, and if something is twice the the size of something else the resonate frequency of the one twice as large is half the frequency of the smaller objects. That does not matter if it is a bridge, a piece of pipe, or a coil without a capacitor attached. Since there is not a capacitor attached to any of the coils the resonate frequency is dependent on the number of turns, the length, and the diameter. By just doubling the length of the two coils that are half the length, that makes their resonate frequency equal to the larger coil. Paul in Canada, was explaining this without equations. That is because the equations are not necessarily going to make something easier to understand when the frequency difference is just a matter of ratios. If two coils are in series the inductance is the sum if they are equal in value. If you want the equations they are: Inductance = (number of turns)^2* 1.25*10^-6* (permeability of the core material) (diameter of coil/2)(natural log(8*(diameter of coil)/(diameter of wire))-2) All of the dimensions are in meters. As is said it is easier to figure it out by ratios, instead of calculating it directly.

I saw this a while ago, and was very impressed that Your video is one of few on Tesla, that is informed by understanding of electrical theory. I am re-impressed. I am wondering how carefully You have tuned primary and secondary. I noticed that although most modern Tesla coils use very long secondaries (builders believing that turns ratio is the only criteria for output voltage), Tesla used broader and squatter secondaries and huge diameter primaries, ,... perhaps so that primary and secondary inductance could more easily be matched to a coupled capacitance , capacity between the earth (ground), and the sphere or toroid, at the top . In my experiments with small tesla coils with perfectly matching coils and capacitors of primary and secondary, with the primary driven by a square wave (100 khz), the voltage at the secondary could be almost 4 times that at the primary. I'm assuming because the secondary waveform would have had alternating spikes that expressed the differential of the sudden transition of steep rise time to the flat peaks of the square waves. I tuned the capacitors for maximum voltage. I have rarely, if ever heard or seen , a specific step by step explanation of what Tesla was doing with his "magnifying transmitter) in terms of a third coil to influence the directional properties, and perhaps modulation of hysteresis??? of the complete device. Would love to see an additional video on Tesla!
