    What a beautiful, peaceful resting place. All you can hear are birds chirping. It is such a shame that the owners abandoned this mausoleum and cannot be found. I wish someone would intervene and make things right for the deceased and their families.

    How the heck you buy a property and not know what's on it. The Owners should be black balled not allowed to buy any more properties of land in that state until they can come up with at least half of the money

      From the time this video was shot, it's become even more in disrepair and there are still people entombed in the building.

    Think the families need to sue the owners. They should have checked the property they bought. Most say as is. That's a sign you best do your homework before you bid. I know the new owners are completely at fault. However, they could have put it up for sale and maintained it until they could find owners for the property. Any other place they would be levying heavy fines to the owners for it looking so bad.

    This is a disgraceful situation!! So much for eternal rest. This is why cemeteries should never be privately owned and mausoleums don't work ... eventually the money for upkeep runs out ... then what happens to them?

    • @frazzleface753
      @frazzleface753 5 років тому +4

      Absolutely. The business makes a lot of money upfront selling the tomb space, then when no one is around to care enough anymore the money is all gone and the building falls into disrepair. I don't understand why people can't grasp this basic logic. Unless you're going to some Beverly Hills mausoleum, it'll all happen within a couple generations of the first interment.

    Nobody seems to get the point that the actual person is not in there. Just a rotting corpse. The loved on is in another dimension after death. At the exact moment of death the person is no longer in their physical body. This seems to be much ado about nothing.

    • @michele2855
      @michele2855 6 років тому

      Gary Williams I agree. Death is a sleep until the resurrection. However, we need to respect the feelings of others. I’m being cremated. No memorial

    • @teenherofilms
      @teenherofilms 6 років тому +3

      Shine light There isn´t going to be any resurrection. This is just religious bullshit. no one is asleep. We have thousands of cases of the dead communicating with the living.
      Some in the church hold that any contact with those on the next plane of life must be demonic. Mediums, they assert, speak with demons, and speaking to mediums is forbidden by Biblical mandates. They believe the deceased are in a sort of "cold storage" until Jesus' second coming and are not accessible. In cold storage, they are without life until the judgment day, when those who swore allegiance to Jesus will be resurrected into physical bodies and live in a heaven on earth; those who did not swear allegiance to Jesus will be thrown into the fiery pit of hell.
      This explanation shows why those assertions simply aren't true.
      Jesus and the Afterlife
      These teachings the church asserts did not come from Jesus.
      At no time did Jesus say that people who passed out of this life would go into cold storage until a resurrection. It would be remarkable that such an important detail would not have been presented by Jesus during his teaching if it were true. Where is the cold storage and what are people's conditions there? The gospels have no mention of them.
      At no time did Jesus speak of a far-distant heaven at all. He said the Kingdom of God (or Kingdom of Heaven) is here; it is within us. The idea of a heaven distant in time, a purgatory, and limbos were entirely created by the church.
      At no time did Jesus say people weren't living on another plane of life immediately after passing away.
      At no time did Jesus say people should not communicate with their deceased loved ones on the next plane of life. He never mentions mediums, even once.
      At no time did Jesus say that if people spoke to loved ones who had passed away, it was really demons speaking.
      Where did these ideas come from, then? They were entirely the fabrications of the church after 30 CE. Allowing ordinary people to commune with their loved ones who had passed away, without the intercession of the church, would have given ordinary people direct access to the afterlife and to God. That would have diminished the church's control, and of course, the church would have none of that. And so, the church demonized contact with those in the next plane of life because they weren't the ones administering it.

      @@FeatheredLife - Peoples loved ones eventually pass too, and some families descendants, (maybe because life really is not all, a bowl of cherries or a box of chocolates), just don't feel a connection to the past, to those who came just a generation or two before themselves. There's a huge disconnect. It's like something that they just can't seem to come to value, or appreciate. Some peoples families just don't give a shit! It really disturbs me and I just can't seem to come to terms with it, other than accept that people are people and not all of us appreciate and value the same things. One people's history wanting remembering, is another people's history wanting forgetting about. But I have always believed the saying: "Those who do not remember the past, are condemned to repeat it" - Satayana ?

    Lady trying to get her grandmother outta the building and reburied told me she was quoted 6k for the removal and reburial, not including the burial fault and stone. Just crazy that they're extorting these people like this.

    The American government needs to get laws up and running fast with the regard to ownership, construction, and maintenance of cemeteries and Mausoleums and the funeral industry in general. If one is going to build a mausoleum and charge people to inter their deceased love ones then there there should be some guarantee that the construction is going to last and not crumble away, or cremate and scatter the ashes, and just have memorial walls or plaques.

    Perhaps we need to start offering Afterlife Insurance for burials. Above and below. Then if something should happen again, and it will, sometime, somewhere, there will be funds for relocation/repair.

    The challenge is no one wants to take responsibility for this property. Yes the city can caution,warm,evict,and condemn. It’s simply a sad situation when the local people truly don’t care about the deceased.

    If you think about it, this place is privately owned which means either a corporation or some individual or individuals own it. It's not a bad piece of real estate with a lot of room for expansion. Whose to say that they are letting it fall apart so that they can have someone like the county or the families of the interred have to foot the cost of moving everyone and then sell the property. That is the only reason I can think of for someone letting a cemetery and mausoleum fall apart like this because apparently, they aren't too worried about law suits and the like from living relatives who have family there. The other thing that makes me wonder about this is the fact that there are very few actually buried on the grounds which leaves a lot of the place unused. Was this by design? Property that was used for cemeteries is re-purposed all the time. The bodies are simply moved along with the headstones to another spot and the actual land is developed for something else. The thing that most overlook is that this was someone's resting place, hallowed ground, sacred ground. That does not disappear with the movement of bodies. In fact, it can create all sorts of paranormal problems for anything built there but apparently these people who own it care little about that as well.

      Ohxwow ... thanks so much!!! I've been trying to follow it, it's not a personal problem for me but it perfectly illustrates my argument that privately-owned mausoleums and cemeteries are not viable burial options.

    I would fine the owners. (I dont mean find, I mean fine as in give them a violation fine) and make them pay for the repairs! Regardless of what they claim, they are the owners nonetheless and are responsible for the upkeep!

      I'd also charge 'em for all the fees incurred by officials who had file papers through city hall, the courts and so on, and the cost of relocating everyone interred there. And then another two or three billion as a payout to the victims families. 😀

    this production is on point but where are the lawyers at? The investment group who purchased this should really be held accountable and taught a lesson on not to purchase anything that they don't know about. Being there are human bodies involved here there are severe legal issues pending. Make no mistake about it.
