Your videos are excellent. Both in content, style and editing. I love old lenses, but I can't think of another channel who talks about this dry subject with such a fun tone. Bravo.
🙏Glad you like it, but let's say: good, not excellent. But LOL, I do my best to keep the humour to a minimum. But what's the point if we cannot have some fun with our toys for adults?
I almost left during the crazy intro but I'm glad I watched it till the end. I was hesitating between the Vivitar and the Pentacon 28 or 29mm. Thank you, awesome review!!
@@fredr.Man, I watched the video yesterday late at night with no sound. Now I'm listening to it. Much nicer (and funnier 😅) and I love your accent! 👍
Bro your video is so outstanding!!!!!. i would love for u to make video on your process of how u make these videos cause it seriously top tear with animation an super entertaining. The G.O.A.T 😊😊😊😊😊

Well, mon ami, now i know. The sun is shining today and the Vivitar and i will go to the coast, and i will stop the Vivitar down and see if my mind is changed. Maybe i'll shoot a couple of frames with it in film as well. It's in beautiful condition and i only paid five dollars for it, so even though it hasn't impressed me in the images - but i love the look and feel of it - i don't want to get rid of it. Maybe today is the day it will shine. Thank you for the video - i really liked the format and the fooling around. Lkd&Subd. All the best from a cabin in a swamp in a rainforest in New Zealand.
Hello Luz. Thank you for your kind words. Let me know if you changed your mind about it. I keep mine for now, and will see if I might build a set of Vivitar Kiron... And FYI a cabin in a swamp in a rainforest in New Zealand, is a perfect spot for a one person short horror movie, seriously!
@@fredr. Ah... if i want horror i go to the city! Horror is other people (well, some of them, anyway). I didn't shoot the Vivitar today, even though i had it with me. It's a rough bit of coast that i live on and, because i usually end up in water up to my waist shooting waves coming over boulders, i stuck with my weather-sealed gear. Tomorrow will be a better opportunity for a bit of vintage glass, and i also have two 'new' Takumar 200mm lenses to try out. Where abouts are you based, if you don't mind me asking? Have a good day. Cheers.
@@luzr6613 Funny thing, yesterday i took out the Takumar 200mm f4 from the cabinet, focus a bit stiff, I will try to put some grease. I love this lens. I am based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Have fun with the waves.
@@fredr. Hanoi... that's sensationally exotic, while accounting for your outrageous accent! (Kidding). Yep... the f4 and i've also got the Tele-Tak 5.6. I love Takumars (and other vintage bits and pieces). The 150 f4 Super-Multi-Coated is a superb lens that's often cheap. The 55 1.8 Super-Tak is another. The list goes on. What do you shoot the Taks on?
I have this lens in MD mount , Mint condition and i got it for 30 bucks , not happy with Photo results, i´ve not tried it for video so thanks for the review
Thank you @shinygt1855 . I really appreciate your comment, but... Honestly: I don't consider myself good enough yet to give some tutorials. I am still on the newbie learning curve.🤷
Elles sont bien tes videos, pro, surtout sachant que c'est un EOS M. Et j'ai été méga surpris par la qualité du 7artisans 35mm... Bref continue ce genre de test!
@@fredr. Good choice! I noticed in my feeds many Vivitar 28mm for sell. Around $50. Seems like people don't want to keep it 🤷

IMO it renders better with photos than videos.
The lens is pretty sharp for me on my Fuji-x e3
