Thanks SoDak, I really appreciate your support!
@@ScaleModelExperiment beautiful model.whats the name of that paint.
The paint color is called Panther Pink for Dodge or Moulin Rouge for Plymouth. I bought it from VRM model paints. I used a 2k urethane clear on the body and polished it like crazy.
Another awesome build James!! Love the color too!

Beautiful James!!! I owned a Sublime 70 RR in the 90's, brings back memories.... thanks James
That's awesome! I owned 2 74 RR's years ago. I'll build a replica someday. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.
James! This is an excellent vídeo! Its very thorough covering everything of this build! Fantastic build of this simplistic Monogram kit made better by you! I don't think it can be made any better than you did it being box stock! You probably don't like pink cars but this is a perfect excuse to do one here, a perfect mopar model done in Panther Pink, its a winner!!👍🏁🏆
Thank you so much Ray! I really wanted to make this 💩kit into something cool. I’m glad that you liked it 👍
Beautiful! Well done Sir.
Thank you so much for watching Chris👍 I appreciate your support!

Absolutely fantastic James! Love the Fuchsia colour. Very nice detail! Thanks for sharing. 😎🇨🇦
Thanks Peter, can you imagine Plymouth actually making cats in that color? I appreciate you watching bud.
Love the color very cool car 🤘on
Thanks Neal, I appreciate you watching and commenting 👍
Absolutely beautiful, will wait for the next 40% off sale gotta love hobby lobby, but I had this model in my hand !!! but decided on the 85 Oldsmobile 442/ FE3, and the color is awesome, I think they called that color panther pink, only very few made it through before Chrysler said ohh no we ain’t building pink muslecars. The color was pulled soon after, but just know that is a very rare color, beautiful job!! model on….
Thank you Glenn, I appreciate your kind words and support 👍
Just bought this same exact kit from my local Hobby Lobby store. Will be painting the body with a color shifting metallic blue/purple enamel.
Sounds cool Antonio. Enjoy the build👍
Very cool! Great work on this build!
Thank you so much Todd! I appreciate you watching and supporting the channel.
Awesome looking build James, love the color and all the tips you gave in the video, great job. Rick 😎✌️
Thanks so much Rick, I am glad that you got some value from my previous videos. I love helping others. I appreciate you watching and supporting the channel.
Great work. You did an amazing job; especially, with the details. I really like what you did with the kit. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching Michael. I really appreciate your continued support.
Amazing and super clean Roadrunner James the paint and color look flawless, thanks for sharing those detail tips you gave along the way 🍻👍
Thanks so much for watching GI, I appreciate your support 👍
I just did this kit in Sublime Green with a tan interior, wood wheel & shifter, and matte black hood. The wheels are Sublime Green with chrome dishes, 440/6 pack and chrome was done with a Molotow pen. Very nice build.
Sounds awesome Kenny! Thanks for watching 👍
Love the colors, the interior is awesome ( not a big fan of white, but it works ), looks great
Thanks Robert, black interiors can be so dark so I needed something bright for this car. I appreciate you watching 👍
Very nice job James. I'm subscribed to Mark Batson's channel as well.
I really like the difference in y'all's two builds! Thanks for the inspiration...
Thank you so much for checking out my build. I appreciate your support 👍
Great job. You've inspired me to build this kit. Just came in from Ebay. Now to ponder a color. Thanks. Keep up the amazing work.
Thanks so much for watching Jeff, good luck with your build.👍
Great jobb 😊😊😊
Thanks so much Sindre.👍

😍Good looking Roadrunner James!!👍
Thank you so much Tim! I hope to see you at some upcoming shows in the area. We can collaborate! I appreciate your support bud.
Great job. 👍 I love the detailed work and effort put into this build. Makes me like Mopars more now. Thank you for also explaining how you accomplished the overall great looks of this model.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching👍
I'm new to the channel and I got to say. That is a beautiful build. I look forward to seeing more build's from you. 😄👍
Welcome to the channel Dan! I really appreciate you watching and supporting the channel. I have some good stuff coming, buckle your seatbelt!
Awsome build, I have a few of these kits
Thanks Mike, I’ve had this kit for a long time but never was interested in building it before the group build. I appreciate you watching and commenting 👍
I saw your kit today at the Buckeye Classic in Hilliard, OH. Great job on it!
Thanks Jim👍 I brought 5 today. All have been on the channel over the past few years. Thanks for watching.
Nice,
Thank you so much for checking out my channel and leaving a comment. Much appreciated!
@@ScaleModelExperiment No problem, Cheers.
Gorgeous build. Not my favorite color for a bird but the paint is through the top. Nice job. I'm sure you pre fitted every one of those parts for it to go together that nicely.
Thank you for watching 👍 yes I mocked up and modified every piece before final assembly. I tried to document all of the changes in the 4 videos I made.
@@ScaleModelExperiment Nice. I'm an old timer but still modeling. I almost bought a new 70 Roadrunner when I got out of the Navy. It was yellow with black vinyl top and hood stripes. I passed because of the color and wound up buying a Honda motorcycle instead. Still kicking myself over that Roadrunner.
Hahaha, I hear ya. I was a sailor too. I almost bought a 71 Mustang in 89. But bought an 85 firebird instead.
That’s awesome I have been following your tips on my build unfortunately I’m behind. This is an amazing build great job !!
Thank you Frizzo! Take your time, don't rush your project. I appreciate your support bud.
Really cool reveal James! You took what was in the box and showed the true potential of the kit!
“Perfect!” as the Street Fighter announcer said! That color is a stunner too! 😎👍🏾
Also, a very well shot and edited video…I dig the visuals too. 👌🏾😃
Thank you so much Kissy Boy! I watched your newscast video yesterday. Loved the imagination and creativity. I'll watch more from your channel in the future.
@@ScaleModelExperiment I appreciate it James! We have fun over here! Thanks for sharing your tips on this kit too btw! It definitely helped me with my GTX! 😎👍🏾🎸🎶
Outstanding job James!! Great color, very smooth!! Love all the extras!!!
Thank you so much Mark, I appreciate you picking this model even though I may have griped about it at first. I am happy with how it came out in the end. I thank you sir for watching and supporting the channel.
Nice 🙂
Thanks Daniel👍
@@ScaleModelExperiment your welcome 😁
Clean build, I love it. Thanks for sharing James. It's cool how you show all the parts finished & laid out, then assemble...great job.
Thank you so much, it has become my style of video to show the painted parts and assemble them. It’s unique to the other UA-camrs.
Enjoyed the video and what a great looking build. Love the colors and all the little mods to make this a box stock standout!
Model on!
Pat
*Subbed*
Thank you so much Pat, I appreciate your kind words and support of the channel👍
Awesome build James. Thanks you for each of the tips you gave in this series. Little things like the exhaust modification I would have never thought about but now it’s always in my back pocket.
Absolutely glad to help out. Thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel!
Beautiful build James! I love your box stock builds, it shows how nice you can make them. Thanks for the video 😎👍
Thank you! So many people say box stock like it is a cop-out but I see it as a true challenge for perfection. I appreciate you watching!
Love the pink gtx I just finished a pink altered wheelbase 1970 charger.
Thanks for watching Dart Dr. do you have pictures of the Charger online?
@@ScaleModelExperiment I have the 1st half of the build on my Channel. Part 2 later this week.
I’ll have to check it out
Love it! So well done! That paint is gorgeous! Your "assistant" stole the video. Two things: the body color door tops are a detail I missed when building mine. And 2nd: did you reposition the front bumper? I recall a recommendation to do that to improve to fidelity to the 1:1. The reason being the designed attachment points put the bumper lower than it appears on the 1:1.
Thanks Jason, the upper door panels in body color was an option so I went with it. For the front bumper I simply made it level which it didn’t want to sit - it wanted to angle downward. Bryan and BG model worlds made the pointer for me👍 thanks for watching bud.
That's awesome James, looks so cool with the colours you've chosen for it. Enjoyable video too, was great seeing you assemble piece by piece. Well done ☺️👍🏼
Thanks Karl, it’s a factory color believe it or not. It came out nice with all of the little touches I added but remained box stock. I appreciate the support bud 👍
Another impeccable build, looks great! You have an uncanny ability to treat each part as if it’s a model in and of itself so that in the finished product the sum of the parts is greater the the model itself.
Ding ding ding! Give that man a cigar! Yes you are absolutely right, that is my theory is to perfect each part and then assemble! Thanks for watching, I appreciate your support bud!
A friend of mine had the GTX 440 six-pack version in high school his folks were well off . I half to say the fastest I have ever been in an automobile. We were too young and stupid to be worried about pegging the speedo if I remember right it was 140. Nice build.😊
That’s crazy! We all had someone looking out for us back then. I did my share of stupid things with cars in my youth too. Take care and thanks again for watching.
I love the colors and I love the interior! That is the shiniest shining body I've ever seen! How did you do that, if I may ask?

I was thinking about getting into model car building with my son. With the size of my fingers and all them little piece ill stick with working on the real thing lol
Thanks for watching James, I encourage you to build models with your son. Take care 👍
The things you did to improve this kit are incredible! HOW did you cut the exhaust from the axel? I'm glad you explained the door handles. I wondered about that, too, because I want to do that on the 64 Galaxie XL I'm currently building. Love your videos!!! Thank you for them.
Thanks for watching Kenny, I separated the exhaust from the axle with a set of nippers and then carved the exhaust to shape with a hobby knife then lots of sanding to make it all smooth. Good luck with your 64 Galaxie. It’s a cool car.
Отличная работа, коллега подскажи что это за цвет и кто производит эту краску?
Congrats, that is a great build of a horrible kit!
Thanks Kevin. as much as I complained about it, it came out pretty nice in the end if you accept it for what it is. I appreciate you watching and supporting the channel.
Nice build, but why so many builders cant get their headlamps straight?Putting every lens in a different angle!😂
Thanks Will, yes they have to all follow the same pattern. Call me OCD.. 😂 thanks for watching 👍
Have you've ever built or try to build a hyper realistic model car? You should try it my kits take me about a month to build and that's spending about two to three hours a day detailing it. I should have a channel with my model kits beside the actual car and see if you can spot my model car from the real car!
Hi Toe, I used to build very detailed cars with wiring and plumbing. I got burned out with doing them. I prefer clean box stock models now.
