Fully agree with your summary and thoughts... I was also surprised by some important details watching the Vlog, but without knowing the full story we can only hope it's a simple video.. ..the real athlete training plan especially if top level rider is honestly something else
I do think this is pretty accurate. It’s not the full picture as this was a one week boot camp. Typically a boot camp will carry over to the normal program as well. So I do think these types of workouts are being used past just this week. My curiosity turns more to how they transition it to riding and then into the actual race season.
i have a question: Ever notice Chase yawns a lot after a workout.....my take on that is he is triggering breathing muscles while working out or racing and when he is done and calmed down the breathing muscles are fatigued hence less oxygen which isnt that a reason why we yawn? not getting full breaths the body requires
That’s a potential reason. Chase has a large lordosis in his lower back which you can see his front rib cage protrude outward in his posture. That’s likely largely due to a dysfunction of his diaphragm. Which as you said could be leading to his yawning. Or… just staying up too late playing Fort Nite every night haha
CrossFit has its place but it’s a high risk training style that is not that transferable for moto unfortunately. Mostly due to its lack of periodization and lower intensity training.
I can’t believe these guys pay “trainers” to run them through this bs. You ALWAYS are hearing these dudes complain about being tired and comming down with Epsteinbar or just weak immune systems. And Blame it on the travel? Like these dudes eat like little ferry princesses😵💫eating 1800 calories a day and burning like 3,000+. Real smart. On top of that avoiding carbohydrates. Like you are an elite athlete you need carbs. These guys are the biggest primadonas out of any sport by far. Built like twigs then mad they get hurt when they tip over 🤣🤣
It’s always tough to know fully what’s at work when it comes to stuff like this just analysis via a video. However, we coaches and trainers have a responsibility to make sure the athlete gets what they need and are taught the whys behind everything they’re doing rather than just a listen and follow through program. The not eating enough is a tough one, I struggle with some of my athletes to get them to eat more than they do when they are burning 3000 calories a day but we get it in.
Coaches across the board like to keep little tricks to themselves and not sure them. Peter has shown he has nothing to hide and that’s something I admire and appreciate.

Nice recap, Evan!
Thanks King!
The 1k run workout thing I believe was a hyrox inspired workout.
Now that you say that you’re totally right. Minus some of the farmers carries and sled pushes. Does have a hyrox vibe to it.

Is crossfit a good exercise for motorcross training?

you mentioned gate keepers.....what do you mean by that?
Secrets secrets
You should be studying Eli
I’d love to do that next! Eli is the man. They’re very closed off about the training but I think I got a little something in mind.
@@outlierathlete I second davids comment.

you have to be a motocross racer to understand the gate keeping aspect
