Definitely one of the hottest tracks on the album. I'm glad to hear that it got some recognition. Its cool that Erick is sharing some info about the creation of Vernia. I was surprised at how solid an album it was when I listened to it, and I was glad to hear that Erick was still making quality music. I think it proves that Erick is a true artist, because he keeps making great records and sharing his gift, even when the spotlight isn't on him as directly as it once was.
The story about Nas liking the track makes sense, because he has two tracks back to back on King's Disease, which came out the year after Vernia: Blue Benz and Car #85, both of which feature a similar theme of telling stories with cars involved. Car #85, especially since it covers stories about car services which served areas that city cabs wouldn't. Nas made have said "He wished he made that record", instead it seems like he was inspired by it and took it another direction but the chill vibe is definitely kindred.
