I ordered a 486 pure off of you guys just got it yesterday and I love it real nice to cast I'm definitely bringing it with me to Idaho next month going to hike into some alpine lakes in the Rockies with it!!
Could you please tell me if there is much difference between the B3LS and the Pure in a 9’ 4wt configuration? Besides the grips being different. I’m more curious about performance. Specifically recovery. Thank you!
@@adamchristo3082 If you want a dedicated dry or dry dropper rod get the pure (that's why I got it) if you want a faster all around rod then get the air. It doesn't do dry flies as well but is better all around.

What is your opinion on the Winston TMF 4wt? I’m surprised you haven’t done a video on one yet.
Thanks for the great review ben. How does this rod compare to the nrx lp in the same length and weight? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.
Will you be reviewing the new Hardy HBX rod soon?
Anyone can recomend line for Pure 905? I am thinking midle distance and close, line should be also good for rollcasts. Thank u.
what's wrong with the reel seat? i see a huge gap from lathe where the reel sticks in direction cork handle. it should not be like this....

The Pure is going to have a slightly faster recovery
Could you say the action of the pure is similar to the redington classic trout?
Similar taper but a HUGE upgrade in terms of dampening, recovery, swing weight, accuracy, and just plain enjoyability.
Vs the air?
I would like to know the answer to the same question but a that its to be used for drys and small nymphfs close up to moderate range in small streams

For all around fishing is better the winston pure or thomas and thomas paradigm in 9' #5 ?
Probably the Pure
How does it compared to the Air 2 which you claim is “really not” all-round?
The Pure is a little softer. Great dry fly/dry-dropper rod with decent range.
