So I have received the Aventador Roadster in Black and I'm super excited but terrified at the same time. For someone like me, this is a couple of months build (I only work on items for couple of hours on a Sunday) but whilst terrified, I will forge ahead. A Massive Lambo V12 fan & when I saw this, I had to spoil myself for my 50th.

Good luck with the build, I have a Pocher Lotus 72D still to start. Plenty of detail parts, will be adding more detail to the model as I build it.

*It's quite a die-cast model, a lovely one indeed. I didn't know that brand, thanks for the discovery!*

Quick tip get a decent screwdriver and put bit of grease or lube on screws to help fit them

I think the picture of the screwdriver, was telling you to turn the screw 1 and 1/2 turns.

I think the Pocher 1/8 scale are way too expensive and they are far too big making them impractical. There's much more work in a building and painting a 1/24 Aoshima Avantador with the upgrades. It's about seven inches you can display in a showcase taking very little space at one tenth the cost. But that's if you're a plastic kit builder and I am so I know that these Pochers can be done in a week with little skill involved with very little painting and gluing. Not real model building!

Good points but to say it isn't scale modelling I think thats a little unjust.. whether its screws or glue its still building something to scale. I've never built one before now but i see their appeal,

Actually if done properly, paint all the plastic, not just build out of box customise the exterior paint as well it will take you a good 6 to 8 weeks I've just built one and because its bigger scalel it has to be perfect to look realistic so you need to be quite skillful with air brush etc
Check out the jenic builds to see what I mean happy building

I have a Pocher 1:8 Rolls Royce that I bought in 1984 at a hobby shop in Denver, still new in box. Any clue if THIS kit could be available in the U.S.?? edit....I mean THIS Lambo? Well, a quick Google search took me to Hornby Hobbies website, then to their USA link. Disappointing. I saw the price, £789...about $1000 USD. I'm OK with that, but guess they won't ship(??)
