You're right Lee. It's almost not enjoyable 😂😂😂😂 it took me a couple of weeks of protein shakes to get the blast beat there haha. Cheers for the feedback
Crazy. This is so difficult. If i recall correctly I think flos blast beats were a little out of time or rushed in the original recording which makes covering it that much harder. I would get carpal tunnel if I tried this 😂. Great job
Thanks for the awesome feedback Mike. It's utterly proposterously nuts this track 😂 I love that whole album so much. It sounds so raw doesn't it. Haha I took a few days to recover from it 🤘💜🤘
@@benwhitedrums Ben...did you know that even the ancient Greeks recognized music as an art derived from mathematics, and the analogies and connections between music and mathematics were noticed by many outstanding Greek philosophers, mathematicians and musicians? It was they who pointed out examples of mathematical objects that are reflected in music, as well as expressing musical artistic concepts in the language of pure mathematics. I've always done my songs mathematically when I was composing them, and it's always worked out well.
Wow - thank you so much for making this. I've always loved this song, but I could never understand some of the rhythms from the original recording - especially when the vocals first come in. Your video made it so much clearer.
Yes, even though I am a professional musician, I am not a drummer, so I might not be aware of many intricacies when it comes to various drumming techniques. Saying that, I know that there are many drummers since early 2000s that can play faster than the speed of light, yet, the drumming on None So Vile is not just fast - it somehow sounds visceral and very aggressive/frantic, which really adds to the madness of this album. I often wonder whether it's mainly attributed to Flo's playing style or very good initial recording of the drums themselves (very clear kick drum, punchy snare, audible dynamics between various cymbals). Again - thank you for the video - it's awesome to see how the part is played visually!@@benwhitedrums
Just unrelenting, isn't it? Flo sounds like he's about to fall off his stool throughout (and so do you!). That's exactly the feel of the song/whole album that you are talking about. Where were you when I needed you in 1999???
It's so nuts this whole album. You're right regarding Flo. I love the craziness of it. Like a bunch of lunatics just tearing it up. Amazing. Haha. In 1999 I was just tickling the Slayer and Sepultura tracks on drums and shredding guitar. 🤘💜🤘 Big love Captain
Holy shit Ben! Surely this has to at least be close to how hard Chambers of Dis was right? Cause I know those Flo blasts are mean as hell for sure. Great performance, insanely impressive!
Barely managed the blast tempo singles on that right hand. Haha cheers star. Flo is an utter beast. Deffo up there. Thankfully the kick work isn't too brutal on this one. 🤘💜🤘
The ability to change up styles is incredibly impressive. The Chambers of Dis cover was my favourite so far, but Sandoval's style is very precise and tight. To be able to do both that and play Mounier's loose gore-grindy style shows a huge range of style and skills beyond just speed and endurance. Proud to see such an amazing drummer come from the UK 🤘🏻
Your show with Mithras with Demilich at the underworld was the best I've seen in a good few years, you absolutely blew them off the stage in my opinion. Been a fan since I heard Vae Solis on a Terrorizer cover cd as a teenager. Hope you guys put some new stuff out, total support 👊
Awesome. Glad you could make it. Vae Solis is in the coming set list 🤘will try and get it filmed. Which reminds me I need to knuckle down and do some Mithras rehearsal 😂 See you out there soon star 🤘
Cheers for the feedback 🤘💜🤘 I've been drumming on and off for probably 25 years. Lots of training in that time too including weights and shizzle. Keep pressing on captain 💪 it'll come
Looks nothing like how I air drum it 😂
Hahaha !!!! Me neither especially the gurning faces 😂
Flo mounier would be proud of you. Top class.
Cheers for the positivity 🤘🤘💜🤘🤘
Its hardly surprising that there aren't more Flo covers out there, this looks like serious hard work!

This isn't blast beat.... this is a BLAST BEAST!!😂😂
I love this drumming and this band!!
You're very great!😜🤘
Awesome feedback thank you. I love them too 🤘💜🤘

Phenomenal playing Ben.
It's an amazing piece of drumming, a very difficult one, very technical, and you didn't a great job.
Cheers Ben.
Cheers for the positivity my friend 🤘💜🤘
That is a blastathon, need to find a drummer that can blast almost as fast, lol

Awesome. Glad you enjoyed it 🤘💜🤘I too love this track and album so much. It's nuts isn't it. Totally chaotic blastery. Flo is a genius

Is Mithras still active? I loved their 2003 album.
Still going! We'll be back soon 🤘
You get better and better after each video. Nice playing. Any chance to play The Violation from Fleshgod Apocalypse? Thanks in advance.
Will add that one to the list 👍 thanks for the feedback
