question - can i use the drum kit overlay and hot key it for pc games/pc gaming? I love the layout is ..and YES i know they made a gaming one, but hate the layout on it - the drum kit be perfect for games like smite where i need to use 4 to 6 buttons and my mouse.
Hey @@cowdy293. Sorry for the slow response - we didn't get a notification, since this video is on the PC channel. Anyway, to answer your question, the answer is yes. You can remap any of our overlays, including the drum kit, to send gamepad controls. You can even design your own custom layout, if you really want to go deep.
It sends midi so will work with any software or hardware that accepts midi. A USB midi host will just be required for hardware synths that don't work as a host themselves.
Cycling74's Max is one option. For music, you can use any MIDI software. With the API, you can use Max, Python, C#, and C. Really, there are a LOT of thing you can use the Morph with: sensel.com/morph
If you want the raw data, there's a max object and a programming API. Most users lean more on the overlays, whose layout can be configured to send a variety of signals, like MIDI or HID or keyboard/mouse, or any combination of the above.
The guitar fretboard overlay is going to be amazing...hammer-ons, independent note pitch bends and slides, etc.....oh wow!
Excellent demo. Thanks!
This is a great product!
Glad you like it, Stephanie!!!
Amazing demo in Max and great presentation!
Please add OSC support to let us use the Morph with Reaktor, Bidule or anything else…
Thanks for the feedback Vincent. It's definitely in the software queue!
Yes! I was thinking about Reaktor too.
Great video! Where can I find the max patch you used for your demo?
How are you using multi-note with no overlay in 37:19 ?
