MLB Dumbas* Moments

- If you can’t remember how many outs there are or what the count is in an at bat then you shouldn’t be playing. If you can’t see that the first baseman is 3’ off the bag you shouldn’t be a umpire.

3:37 that's the most proper stance for booing I've ever seen. It's like an opera singer booing, magnificent.
Ruby Night definitely wasn’t his first boo
Brinstar Media... Oh for sure. That guy looks like he could boo with the best of ‘em. He might even throw in a good “HISS! HISS, I SAY!” now and then. A real pro’s pro when it comes to heckling.
You "boo" from your diaphragm while cupping your hands a little closer to the mouth. This guy DOES have great form, no doubt about it. But if simply improved a bit on his mouth cuppage, he would be a hall of fame booer for sure. This whole critic could also be read as sexual advice but please, refrain.
Phillysophical question: If he was a Phillies fan, would he equally apply his talents towards throwing snowballs or ice balls at Santa Claus?
Dan 🗣BOOOOOOOOOn: That Guy might be a closet Phillies fan. He is doing his wonderful heckling theatrics in front of what is presumably his kid, after all.
Then again, Cubs fans are far more insufferable than Phillies fans.
@2:35 that pitch was so clean he had to call a strike out lmao
thanks for making the time stamp right after the pitch dumbass👍
@@mirai4652 then where would be the fun in that? Lmfao you mad mad 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
john ghabana fuck up ghabana 🗿🖕
it was such a good pitch
Casey was about the most unathletic looking runner ever 😂
Guy runs worse than Steven Seagal.
Mo Vaughn, Cecil Fielder?
Ya that play is up there on the stupidest I've ever seen on all fronts.
BARTOLO
John Harris Pujols has basically been playing on one leg the last ten years so I kinda give him some slack
Why wouldn't Puig just stand on second? when you're unsure of a play at least be on a base lol
Because if he stayed on the base, this wouldn’t be dumbass plays 😂
@@bumblethebee761 The shitload of weed he smokes.
Puig will never be accused of being the smartest guy in the room, even when he’s the only one in the room
Everyone knows Puig is a dumbass.
Million dollar arm, 10 cent brain.
Update this to include Angel Hernandez's three overturned calls the other day!
The Slot Whisperer I agree
What other day? I wanna see!
Ozunas heads up throw was awesome
Those plays were all pretty close. It wouldn’t fit in this video
The Slot Whisperer was it four? Or almost four or someshit
7:20 so nonchalantly, "that was a fair ball by the way" :D
I like how they announcers say it was obviously a fair ball when they missed it to begin with
@@ripelcannon They are just going off cameras that don't always track the ball well and what the umpire motioned. The umpire was staring at the ball and the line with nothing obstructing his view.
@@ripelcannon If they're seeing the same camera angle as us, you couldn't see the ball or the line when it landed
@MANCHESTER UNITED F.C couldn't care less about soccer, never will care.
@M People have been saying that for decades. Baseball just gets better. Soccer will always be boring in the U.S.
LOL. Props for Pantera at the end.
Missing Angel Hernandez, quite possibly the worst ump MLB has ever employed
Jim Joyce was worse
@@cagedtigersteve people need to stop shitting on him because of one mistake.
6:19 I think that might be Angel Hernandez
I guess you’re not familiar with Country Joe West or Mark Wegner.
lanceuppercut88 Country Joe West. Absolute worst.
Got to love a bunch of pros suddenly channeling their inner little leaguer.
Pro or not, you make mistakes.
Mike Burnett everybody makes mistakes
Happens.
It’s STILL funny, though.
Yep, go watch some amateur hardball near you. There are some good amateurs out there but mostly crap ball being played at the amateur level.
The mistake by Puig was totally unacceptable. The guy has zero baseball smarts. I wish he was still with LA. Go Giants!!!
Baseball easy. Hit ball over fence. Walk around the plates. Done! Collect wages and prize money
As an umpire on the local level, I don't like to bash on my peers. However I work mostly with two man crews. We usually have much worse angles than these guys. How they miss obvious fairs and fouls, and first basemen two feet off the base is beyond me.
As a fellow umpire, I don't want to bash on my peers either, however, we are all human, and we all make mistakes. Even umpires. You would disagree?
@@creativewritingtutor5788 nope. I wouldn't disagree. And it's the one job that you can be almost perfect at, and still get grief and hostile treatment. Some of these are still head scratchers
As a player, I feel bad for umpires. Expected to get every close play correct. It's just not possible. You get the wrath of people who take games too seriously.
I don't see why another umpire can't overturn an umpire's call. That could be a rule changer. But the 1st base umpire should be able to tell he's off the bag even at that angle. But the home plate umpire should be able to reverse the call.
You are about to be out of a job the way they are calling strikes. 34,000+ missed calls in 2018. Pack your bags and head home. AI is here.
2:31...it's good to see Enrico Pallazzo is back umpiring. I always loved to see his emphatic strike calls.
3:37 is my spirit animal
and then sits to try to justify to his kid why he's an a$$hole. hahaha
@Young Totodile i know eh father of the year award
3:12 is the funniest shit ever. Dude paused and all , took a glance at the crowd, and was like "here you go". Lol funny stuff
he was ghetto posing
I’m from Minnesota. So I’ve had to watch some horrendous baseball in my
Life. I knew that Joe Mauer ball was in play at real speed it was so obvious. My television got a ear full!
It was too bad the Minny dugout was at an angle where they couldn't see that corner of the field. They didn't even protest.
1:28 goofiest run by ANY professional athlete I have ever seen
looks like my damn 6 year old brothers team
Todd Helton moment can also be classified as “MLB Most AWESOME” moments . CLASSIC!
I see the word "Dumbass", I like..
cause you are a dumdass
The older I get, the less I get embarrassed over things. We've ALL done stupid stuff. You just laugh at yourself and move on.
The craziest thing about this video is that Joe Mauer PULLED that fly ball at Wrigley...
And then Verlander be like, “Oh yeah, that’s what I thought.”
Bruh... 🤔
This makes me feel better about "rookie" mistakes I make when I've been playing ball my whole life.
6:28 Running off the field super awkwardly because he knows what happened.
3:37 is the greatest BOOO of all time.
Thanks for all your vid's. Do not see much baseball here in the UK and I am learning all the while !! Not smart enough yet to get into conversation about it ha ha … but getting there. Loved it ever since was on tour New York, Boston, Cape Cod with a rugby club. Heard something like gunshots in the next field when we were practicing (coming from behind a wood/lots of trees) On a break went to see... it was a baseball(s) hitting the catcher's gloves...college side practice session... wow how fast were they travelling? Was a fast bowler at cricket so had a real appreciation for the pitchers. After that visited Fenway...brilliant !!!
That title lol
Nothing pisses me off more than not running it out to first.
I like how the comment at the start says : “Do confused player.” And the title is dumbas* moments
Right? 😂
Great videos, Wesley. Keep them coming.
6:58 Ump paid off by the Yankees. He was in the perfect position to see that ball land fair.
Jon, the ball becomes fair or foul when it is first touched. It does not matter where it lands. What probably happened is that the umpire somehow thought the ball was over foul territory when it was first touched. But you are right. That was a fair ball.
@@alanhess9306 there is no way that ump thought it was foul. Did he think it hit his glove, and then bounced back into fair territory? It landed a foot fair even after being deflected. There was no outs in a tie game in the 11th, a double would have given them a great chance to win, and the ump decided to call it foul long before the ball landed.
@@titusdecker7292 I have no idea how the umpire missed that call, but I don't believe he intentionally blew the call. The call of fair or foul is made when the ball is first touched, not when the ball lands, so it is perfectly normal to make that call long before the ball lands.
This is why baseball should have reviews, like very other televised sport.
Love the pantera outro
5 MINUTES ALONE
Sir, that was fantastic, the compilation of the month *thanks and respect*
Love how the ending plays Pantera
As my late father used to say, "You've heard of the Designated Hitter? Now you've heard of the designated idiot!"
Your outro's alone deserve a thumbs up. Good videos too. 🤘
Love the channel man! Can you do "Fans" moment?
Incase anyone didnt know the song name is 5 Minutes Alone by Pantera of course....its playing at the end of the song where it breaks down hard
Great video! As a Yankee fan, Mauer should’ve had a double since it looked like it was a fair ball
It WAS a fair ball!
Haha dude thanks for putting an asterisk at the end of the "D" word, I would have been infuriated
6:25 I love that you put this one in multiple videos.
I watched that game live. It was unbelievably god awful.
Either that was ball 4 or that umpire just joined the 4 horsemen! Woooooo!
To be fair, the shortstop didn't seem to know he had to tag Puig out either. He thought it was a force out as well until his dugout was screaming at him to tag Puig.
3:55. How the hell does the ump AND the batter not know the pitch count? Is it really that hard to keep track?
D C day dreaming, probably thinking what to eat after the game ends
When ur up to bat especially that level your constantly thinking about the count idk how they got confused
The cather new it was ball 4, he was acting to see if he can get another pitch. So did the batter, he just got confused because the ump was so sure of himself in the beginning.
@Audrey McMace to try and get an out instead of a walk?? Thanks for the cookies👍 tell your mother I've always loved them😆
D C just proves baseball is boring
Nice to see you include the Umpire mistakes along with the players.
I was in the stands as a young boy for the Walker play at Dodgers Stadium. It was amazing!
3rd clip: One of the most basic codes in baseball. Run it out. You never know
😂 umps be calling strike 3 all day on those Okland As.
Thanks for Pantera at the end
Awesome video thankyou!✊
Casey was beyond slow, but he could really hit and was one of the nicest guys in MLB.
the first play was full of so much dumb i can't wrap my head around it
man a little pantera to end it as well? i love it!
Love the outro music 🤘
Make
America
Metal
Again
3:07 has got to be the funniest one considering how he just stands there and chucks into the stands ahaha
Kudos on the Pantera at the end.
Out of all the baseball ive watched every time i see the replay of the call at 647 i think it's the worst I've ever seen.
LMFAO @ that first one
I love watching the umps realizing their mistake and admit it. The whole game is on their backs and they are man enough to admit their mistake
Okay, the fake throw/tag-out bit was pretty creative. Very nice move.
Love the pantera end song.
Something we see all the time with them.... "A huge break for the Yankees." 7:33
Hgyvtfygyhuh Ygihvutctvnininnin stfu kid
3:05 i love it when asshats pose after doing nothing spectacular and screw up because of it.
2:36 when you want work to be over for the day. Lol
The ole ball in glove trick priceless
2:17 best laugh since Kawhis
So happy to see that Puig was the thumbnail!
A "5-7-3" putout? Baseball never ceases to amaze me!
Please make a “pitchers getting angry when relieved” ?
I thought the guy at 3:36 was Tim Bagley (Harold J Krenshaw from "Monk").
Love that outro
There was a play from "super duper baseball bloopers" from a game in Atlanta in the late 80s where somehow everyone on the field forgot how many outs there were. That should have been on here.
I was really hoping to see 3:10 on this list. Milton Bradley so chill lol!!
The Bradley one is Iconic lmao
wouldn't want to play poker with todd helton. that guy has many tricks or aces up his sleeve
That was my favorite clip of the video! 😅
I thought this was just going to be an Angel Hernandez compilation.
Nah, Hernandez needs his own compilation which would be at least 3 hours long . . .
Ya, a huge break for the “Yankees” . What a surprise
Somebody is jealous!!! 🤣
What is there to be jealous of?
@@beachsunsets8254 27 championships. 7 WS appearances in the last 25 years, winning 5 of them. No other team comes close to this.
Alan Hess mate I’m talking about the call in the video, that’s just how much power home field umpires have. They were playing at Yankee stadium with a tied game on the line with the Yankees on the field, of course.
Thanks for not bieng afraid of the word “Dumbass”
Every Umpire punches someone out by accident I have done it before.
I just now noticed how the Mets commentators got mad at Puig for not knowing the rule but neither did Flores as he evidently thought there was a force out at 2nd
2:15~ Dudes laugh sounds like Jonah Hill's laugh from "War Dogs" HAHA
Amazing
Honestly i dont know the slightest thing about baseball, but i learn from watching these videos.
the first one really wasn't that bad puig didn't know infield fly was called the ball was thrown the second he thought he was put out
I have out of the park baseball, and play the entire game out in pitch by pitch mode. There was one time where I forgot how many outs there were. I had the batter bunt with two out. I was kinda pissed. Lol.
I had another incident where I forgot I was the visiting team, and I was down 5-0 against Stephen Strasberg, who was having a perfect season (14-0), and he was basically shutting my team down with 11 ks in the top of the 9th. I thought it was the top of the 8th. I kept my reliever in. He was my mo-up reliever. I was basically conceding the game, and not wanting to touch any of my other relievers for the next inning. I wanted my mopup reliever to eke out one more inning, rather than pinch hit for him and using another, more important reliver for the 9th. Basically, my idea was to keep my bullpen resting. I had men on base, too!
Well, when my reliever inevitably struckout, much to my chagrin, the game ended! I was in the top of the 9th. Not the 8th. There was absolutely no stratetic purpose to NOT pinch hit for that pitcher in the final at-bat of this particular game.
Pantera son! Getcha pull!
no bro today while I was a runner at second, this sped kid started stealing from first when the catcher caught the ball perfectly, I yelled “go back” like four times and he still kept going
The Milton Bradley one was much enjoyed.
Everytime I see that guy at 3:37 I cant stop laughing it's just so perfect lol
Awesome video
Lmfao@ the guy who gives the fan the ball, and doesn't realize it's NOT a foul ball. Thank you for putting Metal Music. Hails. Horns Up \m/ \m/
Ericka Contreras it was a foul ball. The fielder thought it was the third out and the inning was over. It was only the second out.
It’s a long season. These things happen.
That jog at 4:35 was literally slower than if he were walking
to conserve energy
More like bad umpire calls than pro mistakes.
Video of single plays that changed the whole game :3
Great video
At an A's game and ump made a 3rd strike punch out on strike two. Fans got on him a bit and one yelled out, "Yeah Blue, and it's Thursday, too!" Ump got real mad at that remark. Fans gave him more of it. It was very funny.
That’s totally me in training
Umps help favor teams. The last is the perfect example
Let's see a Puig sighting or two, or 3....?My favorite is when Pujols schooled him. Wow. Didn't realize what a beer softball looking player Casey was.
