8:22 “God will never tempt you beyond your strength” I think it is more accurate to say that God will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength, because God does not tempt people. James 1:13-15 “When you are tempted to do wrong, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God cannot be tempted. He will never tempt anyone. A man is tempted to do wrong when he lets himself be led by what his bad thoughts tell him to do. When he does what his bad thoughts tell him to do, he sins. When sin completes its work, it brings death.” God bless you for this video!
Also, where I think Elisabeth went off the top of her head 😅 1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. *God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability,* but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
These are truths that we certainly need to reflect on daily. We have to be aware of our eventual deaths, therefore focusing on what truly matters. Thanks for addressing this important topic! God bless🙏

People always say, If you truly believed the Bible, you would evangelize 24/7. Well, do you believe you will die, Mr or Ms Atheist? Are you living like you will die?
I have found the true faith that is catholic, and I will always try to remember these points. Thank you. Now, I would like God to fulfill my other wishes, that is a (good paying) profession, a wife and kids. I think, or at least I hope that I will be happy then.....right now I'm doing pottery and decoration, it is an artistic trade, but it doesn't earn me much money, and that is also important in life that you can provide your family with everything that they need to have a happy life.
The idea of regular prayers, just in case, is not only for atheists, but also for Christians. Just in case Brahma or Allah is a true God, highly recommend regular prayers to all Gods of all religions. It is a good idea to keep an open mind to the existence of those Gods anyway and pray to them to reveal themselves.
You missed the entire point of Christianity then. The concept you proposed and “recommended” is not only fallacious from a theological point of view, but also fails logically. Christianity and Islam are monotheistic religions, both rejecting each other as false religions and promoting different views on God, like the Trinity in Christianity and Tawheed in Islam. The believe in God isn’t an insurance policy you made for your own sake, living a pluralistic life out of fear or uncertainty. Why bother even being a Christian then if you’re open to affirm religions that contradict your own beliefs? This is pluralistic relativism that will get you nowhere, except spiritual confusion. “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except trough me”(John 14:6) or “I am the Lord, and there is no other”(Isaiah 45:5) perfectly demonstrates being Christian and praying to false deities from time to time for own reassurance is neither compatible nor is it logically coherent. “Im Christian, but hey, let me make a short prayer to Moloch and other pagan deities, just to make sure”. As I said, treating faith and prayer like a cosmic insurance is nonsense. I hope you find your way to Jesus Christ.
@@The_Confessor42 You are correct, but you misunderstood the point of the comment - it was a sarcasm. If atheists should pray contrary to their belief (like it was suggested in the video), thus should also christians pray to the contrary to their belief. Does is sounds ridiculous? Of course.
@ Even when the comment was meant to be sarcastic, the comparison between Atheism and Christianity is still flawed, they’re not parallel systems of belief. Atheists are in a state of disbelief, therefore praying, if it’s genuine, is seen as exploring possibilities, not betraying their belief in science or empiricism but seeing it as incomplete. As I already claimed in my previous comment, this would be incompatible with Christianity because it would contradict the core beliefs. You could’ve used clear and coherent language to address the problem of these “just in case prayers”, instead of sarcastically proposing something absurd, without giving the implication of sarcasm. I’ve seen enough people being absolutely serious in proposing nonsense, and even more that would follow these ideas blindly.
@@The_Confessor42 From the atheist point of view, praying is irrational. What if, hypothetically, God is a rational being and he value rationality above irrationality. In that case, irrational belief and praying would be affront to such God and rational disbelief would be rewarded. Than, rational atheist would go to heaven and irrational believers will go to hell.
@ It’s self evident that atheists see praying as irrational, I didn’t deny that. I’m talking about atheistic individuals who are genuinely intrigued by the question whether God really exists or not. Not every atheist is like Richard Dawkins. It’s either wasting five minutes of your life talking to nothing, or being a step closer to God, through guidance and grace. Your hypothetical scenario adds nothing to the discussion.
Thoughtful analysis, but the Scriptures of the Apostles are clear that all our works merit us nothing but death, wholly being opposed to grace (and thus making us wholly incapable of receiving grace through them), as St. Paul states in Romans 11:6. That's why we incapable and hopeless sinners need Christ's free gift offered to us, which is not a religion (earned) but the cross (unearned, being a gift). Christians have peace in Christ which makes us the church. God richly bless you (and Christmas blessings to you and your family), and may you find that lasting peace and assurance in Christ Jesus our Lord. "And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification." (Romans 5:16, St. Paul) "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23, St. Paul)
Heretical and Christ-replacing video: You either know Jesus by trusting in His FINISHED work on the cross in YOUR place, who is the ONLY mediator between God and man (not Mary, as Alphonsus Liguori heretically claims, contrary to the Apostle St. Paul in 1 Timothy 2:5) or you go to Hell. If you rely on any of your own merits to enter Heaven, you WILL go to Hell, no matter how good you think your religion/church is (as the Saviour is a Person, 1 Timothy 2:5, not a religion/church/self-identity). Jesus is Almighty to save you. Thus, no one else can save you but He, and you can do nothing to receive this from Him but by believing His words (Romans 4:5-6). You are not God, but He is.
The only heresy I see here are those distorted, anti-biblical arguments, based on typical individualistic theology that contradict both Scripture and 2000 years of tradition. As you rightfully pointed out, Jesus is indeed the sole mediator between God and man, but how does this exclude others from participating in his mediatorship trough him? Interesting is that you cited 1 Tim 2:5 but seemingly ignore 1 Tim 2:1-4 where St. Paul explicitly ask for intercessory prayer for all men. Applying this logic would result in absurdity, because asking somebody to pray for you would result in replacing Christs mediatorship. All intercession, whether by saints, Mary or living Christian’s are subordinate and united to Jesus as the sole mediator between God and men. Interestingly, the only place where the Bible explicitly mentions “Faith alone” is in James 2:24. “You see that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?”. Faith is the foundation, and our works the fruits of it. John 15:1-8 clearly speaks of bearing fruits to remain in him. The statement “The saviour is a person, not a religion or a Church” is extremely fallacious, because it again contradicts not only Scripture itself, but also church history. The Bible was compiled by the church, “the pillar and ground of the truth” 1 Tim 3:15. Where exactly does the Bible say that scripture alone is the only authority? You are attacking catholic and orthodox theology without fully comprehending it. Not only did these arguments failed to refute the positions, but they also backfired massively. As I said, this is the result of individualistic theology/interpretation and selective reading, which only leads to doctrinal confusion. I advise you to continue studying church history, theology and the Bible. May God guide you to the truth.
Yet another either/ if set up, shouldn't you contemplate your own salvation with fear and trembling as recommended by St. Paul? RC's are aware that Jesus is our Savior, we are also aware that Jesus didn't leave us the NT but left us a fledgling church, the Apostolic churches have survived until this day and we practice what the early Christians practiced. Do you?
@@tco13vNo, you don’t. Every Christian who thinks their rites and ceremonies are original is historically conceited. The evidence shows that none of you practices the faith as it was in the first century. Hubris apparently knows no bounds.
@@ManoverSuperman What apostolic churches practice are the evolution of our liturgical rites, what you state is true, but is it the whole picture over 2000 years? No it is not.
The mind is boggled how anyone finds this kind of belief system healthy. They might see it as being willing to face ugly truths, but I see it as a desire for self-repression and annihilation.
@PopleBackyardFarm Amen, fellow saint: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, HATH everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but IS passed from death unto life." - John 5:24
@patricial.321 Calling the Apostles heretics, Christ-replacer? "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." - Romans 10:9 (Saint Paul the Apostle)
Jordan Peterson would be one of the biggest influencers today in getting people who would normally reject Christianity to consider reading the bible. He may not be a Christian but he is certainly influencing others to be.
@@martynmettam9296 And? When they read the Bible? They will see where the Bible talks about people who teach things they ought not teach, for shameful gain? People who treat the congregation like merchandise? Those people are to be marked and avoided? Well I have already read the Bible so I already know people like Jordan should be silenced. Don't blame me for already knowing what the Bible says.

@@tco13vYou do not practice what the first century Christians practiced either. Anyone who thinks their rites are original is historically wrong.
@@ManoverSuperman What apostolic churches practice are the evolution of our liturgical rites, what you state is true, but is it the whole picture over 2000 years? No it is not.
pathetic clickbait taking advantage of old scared people approaching death. You have no dignity
A victim defending its abuser, your faith is truly wicked.
The mind is boggled how anyone finds this kind of belief system healthy. They might see it as being willing to face ugly truths, but I see it as a desire for self-repression and annihilation.
Know that moment that you actually accepted Jesus as Lord so you know you go to heaven
that's a protestant heresy. The early Christians never believed that.
@@gunstar168 you can be believer and still mortally sin and not go to heaven.
@@patricial.321So you are saved by your deeds then?
I'm not about to start taking advice from Jordan Peterson about it.
I find the idea of most people damned to be insane, I find this idea profoundly sadistic. Why create life knowing most people will go to Hell?
As I said, we don't know how many will be saved. It could technically be all... It's just unwise to act like everyone will be saved
Why have a furnace if you aren't going to use it?
The path to heaven isn’t “narrow and narrow”, -- the path to heaven is “narrow and difficult.” -
