- This is a trailer for the highly anticipated Spey casting instructional video produced by Tim Arsenault and Aaron Goodis. Production started in early 2016 but due to unforeseen medical complications Aaron had to back out from production late that Fall. As Aaron improves we are super stoked to get back to filming in early 2018!
I hope enjoy the trailer and if you have any questions please email at aarongoodisphotography@gmail.com

There are a few videos on this channel but check out Bridge Fly Fishing for more Spey instruction content! Cheers
Hi Aaron the film is stunning and in a way I like the music too! I read your health hasn’t been great. I pray to your god for a speedy recovery and look forward to more of the same. Any plans to visit Scotland for filming?
Hi John! Thanks so much! Heath is always up and down but right now I’m doing ok! I would love to visit Scotland but no plan as of now, maybe in the future! Check out my channel and Bridge Fly Fishing for more current videos, cheers!
There is something great about this video. It really captures the spirit of the north country.
thanks so much!!
Especially the music. That part where it zippy sippy zaaap see zippy is the best.
Tttttiiiiiimmmmmmyyyyy
Lol!!
Sorry the music was terrible. Perhaps my age.
all good, not every one has the same taste in music, hope you like the visuals though!
that snake roll at :30 is insane in the membrane
@Robert Pelletier yeah that was bombed 120 feet lol
Indeed
The slight nuances of the contrast between contamination of cities and the purity of rivers is not unnoticed. I caught it, poetry and Spey, clamour and population. This vid is like a good islay Scotch.
thanks so much!
I agree a superb video and love them snakerolls👍👍👍
Cheers!!
Fucking amazing.
thanks man!
What a cool video!
thank you!

All in British Columbia! Thanks !!
You have a tip on there?spey??
most of the time
How long was the shooting head you used?
about 50 feet sink tip included
Got my first spey rod for Christmas yesterday trying to learn to cast in my pasture. Not turning out so great. Lol.
Thats great! Just keep at it!
@@AaronGoodis got out to Cowlitz river a few days ago. I'm definitely either doing something wrong or my equipment/line setup is not correct. Not even getting 40' out of a cast. Discouraged for sure. Once my shoulder stops hurting so darn bad I'm gonna try again.
@@j.p9655 don't give up buddy I feel your pain..i used to get so frustrated when learning to Spey cast too but don't give up. Start with a 13' rod and combine it with a Rio scandi floating line..when I got this setup it made it so much easier. Of course it's all about technique so watch the best and try an learn. Several years later I'm quite handy, I can cast from left or right arm and do most casts well 😉
@@mbal4052 thanks bud, I ended up selling my 14' . Kept throwing my shoulder out.lol going to def try a smaller switch type rod to start off with soon. Thank you
Jeremy Portnoy Dont know if you’ve figured out a casting technique yet or not but what made a night and day difference for me was watching a video from leland fly co. Look em up on youtube and find theyre casting video. Such a simple effortless way of double hand casting. I can bomb 40 yards of line now where as before i could maybe get 10 feet out of the end of the rod. Good luck!
Beautiful!
Thank you!!
Really great work, some beautiful vistas in there!
Thank you!!
Stunning!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
O H M Y G O S H. Love the snake roll pickup. Really want to learn this. I fear I need a longer rod though. All I have is a 13 6 8 wt. Can I learn a mid belly on this short of a rod?
Brian Greenwood you can do snake rolls with every fly rod, one handed or two handed :)
Tim is a great casting instructor! Call him at M&Y Vancouver if interested!
Great work double-A, hope you’re doing well buddy!
Thanks brother!! Yup pretty good right now, hope all is good for you too!
Awesome visuals n audio!
Thank you!!
Any updates on the coming video? :D Looking forward to it!
We are working on it!!
I love this video, I really love the snake roll cast
Thanks so much!!
No había una "música" menos horrible?
can't please them all I guess
@@AaronGoodis Es verdad Aaron, no se puede complacer a todos . Pero tampoco es un gran esfuerzo. El video es interesante, apretando "mute" .
