NTP Setting Hikvision Haikon DVR, NVR, IP Camera

One of the most common problems in security camera system devices is the lack of past records of security cameras.
Although those who usually experience this problem suspect hard disk failure, this is generally not the problem. The main problem is that the time and date settings of the cctv device are reset.
The main reason for this problem is that the bios battery, which ensures that the information contained in the DVR, NVR or IP camera devices is not lost even if the power is lost, is exhausted. When the devices with outdated Bios battery are de-energized, the date setting usually goes back to 1970 in Hikvision devices. When you search for a recording on a device with this status, the reason for getting the "no record found" warning is because the records were made in 1970.
The most practical solution for this problem will be connecting the NTP server, connecting the NTP server address periodically, and updating the time and date of the device.

When you make this setting, even if the time and date settings are corrupted on your recorder, you will not have any problems as the device updates the time and date information as often as you set.
