I try to switch it up when they get old but forget sometimes. The current family I play I remembered, great grandma is wearing a holiday sweater and grandma is trying to recapture her youth in a crop top and leopard print skirt lol

I absolutely agree with you, when it comes to the crop tops situation. I feel like talking to a wall, when mentioning this problem.
"Masculine framed sims have nothing to wear." Yes, but the things for the female frame is crop tops only or in case of city living: straight up weird.
They should just create a mesh that fits every frame, for all clothes. Would we get fewer clothes? Probably.
But I'd rather have something objectively pretty than something that's not everyone's taste but loads of them.

I actually remember we had to climb a rope one time on a P. E. class, granted it was in the middle school and I'm not from America. Kinda, surprised that it's actually not a thing in America, considering how often rope climbing is shown in movies and shows.

I'm an early 2000s baby from Missouri, but I moved to Florida in 3rd grade and I never had to do it.
I'm American and we had to do it in middle school, too. We also had mandatory swim classes. My middle school had previously been a high school, I think the gym teachers were just trying to make use of all the extra bells and whistles left over.
What happens if you can't do it? I bet i wouldn't even be able to climb up one metre.
I work in a retirement home and grannycore is very much a thing. Grandma aesthetic is more bold then I could ever do.

When you were talking about geek con smelling reminded me of when I used to clean a big office and the office on the top floor absolutely stank of my brothers room when he was a teenager he was a gamer and I never brought it up to the people that worked in the office but the boss of the office one time was like oh the IT guys room you know the one that has that horrible smell to it 😂😂 I was thank god you said it

So...in my German primary school we had to climb ropes and I was so freaking good at it. I was not only the best of the girls, but also better than most boys xD and yes that is something I brag about 20 years later.
You should brag about it! I bet at least half those boys egos are still crying about it 😆
I’m from Denmark and we have those old ropes in the corner of our gym. we no longer use them, because people would hurt themselves all the time. sometimes people sneak onto them and then other people push them into the walls so they break their back. :D

I'm not sure if it would be a good idea, but imagine a pack with a neibourhood for the elders. It could be a gamepack where you get a new aspiration for elders that is either about being a good grandma/grandpa or enjoying their retirement. There could be activities like having the grandkids over or bingo and stuff like that and they could live either in their own house or in an appartment with other elders. It could make it more interresting to continue playing with elders.

I equate the sims to a live action video version of playing Barbies... That being said, my friend has an old fashioned doll house. She's had me make things for the doll house. Potted plants. Candy boxes with candy, etc. Well she told me to make something, anything just surprise her... I made her a teeny tiny bdsm dungeon room for her pristine doll house. It all closes up into a hutch. So no one knows until they open the hutch...moral of the story, never say "surprise me" lol
Thanks for clarifying the whole “old people” thing. Personally, if I have a Sim elder I like, I make them a vampire who drinks the blood of the Sims I don’t like.

I definitely think that the elder stage should last a lot longer. There should be at least two stages of elder considering the fact that the game has young adult/adult.
Aside: I didn't have a high school climbing rope, but we had them in elementary. I remember making it to the top and being taught about the dangers of rope-burn.

Grannycore is definitely an aesthetic actually thought about embracing granny style in my clothes. It's so weird to have someone else think a lot about this to kind of tired of the youth focus culture, I'm not getting younger and I'm starting to grey now so thought about embrace especially in fall grannies wear 'ugly sweaters' there is sorta is kitschy and cute vibe. Yes a lot of patterns, that overlap and cute prints. Grannie interior also have a lot clutter, treasures lingering in their houses everything has history. Granny life style is basically a lot more like cottagecore and then some. Grannies focus on the time they have with the family and friends and are more likely to be involved in the community. They love hobbies like garden, cooking, knitting, painting etc. I just want a hero and grannies are mine. The elderly are often not thought of in media. Most of media marketed to 18 to 35.

I don't nowadays because I'm more into A frame short dresses and corset/long sleeve shirt/long skirt combos, but I am aware granny me will most likely not be very comfy on that. If backpain is an issue, clothing that tights on your waist might be extra annoying!
I was just thinking about elder clothes the other day! Once you hit teens, it's the same clothes for the rest of their lives. We need more old people clothes!

The female clothing is definitely stuck in the early 2000’s, which is okay but there need to be more recent styles that aren’t only accessible with CC. Additionally, it bugs me that they don’t have a lot of high-waisted bottoms. If I want my Sim to wear a crop top the entire stomach has to show which sometimes doesn’t look very it and not super casual. Speaking of which, so many of the crop tops are crazy short. A crop top doesn’t have to be the size of a sports bra. I wear crop tops and they cover a good portion of my stomach. As for males, I feel like the Sims team has made an effort for them to have a bit more options but their new options are always one certain type of style, if you know what I mean. I tried making a Sim of my boyfriend and couldn’t find anything to put on him, and all he wears is super casual fits!

I understand the ridiculous freaky furniture breakage. I was gonna go for a mesh chair, but I'm on a saddle chair with a back. Not all of them work - but mine is a winner. After obsessive measuring, I found one that works.

I actually love the granny style. I LOVE all the patterns and colors and the only thing holding it together is the color scheme or type of patterns and it's just so comfy and exciting but also calm and sweet
I also just kinda hate the current popular styles in homes but the sims tends to be fun styles

Actually 13:00 I discovered today that sims 4 charachters can smell eachother's clothes on the person after it being washed in a washing machine and dried.
It is funny though as it seems like the only odors they enjoy are those of fresh laundry🤣

I have a grandma who wears jeans, band t-shirts and sneakers. She’s in her 50’s a s soon too be 60’s, elders nowadays don’t dress in long skirts with tucked in shirts and cardigans Sims 4! If I were gonna make my grandma in the game I would have to download a shitton of cc just to make her even a little bit accurate… sooo, make “granny” outfits more diverse, rocker grannies and sporty grannies, and friggin HORROR movie loving grannies who collect all the spooky items and only wear black! And don’t worry neon-hair grannies I haven’t forgotten you either. I need more items for these kind of grannies.

We had to climb the rope once or twice and in one occasion a classmate started playing with it before the teacher arrived and she obviously fell and get hurt so we didn't have class, a true legend

The rope thing was real but we did it in elementary. I had no body strength and a horrible fear of heights. You could also choose between big knots, small knots, or no knots. Also my school had a giant cargo net too. That would swing back and forth. Not fun for little 5-11 year old me who had a huge fear of height

When I was in Elementary school, we had to climb a rope in P.E- (I'm german btw, we don't even have High-school here, so it's not exactly what you've asked for. But yeah) that's like.. more barbaric, right? I mean, they let uus climb a rope and we were like 8 years old, not 16.

My high school had climbing ropes, but I'm pretty sure they were specifically installed for the weight lifting club. The normal classes literally never used them.

Climbing the rope is real & traumatic. We had it from elementary thru high school & it never got less embarrassing or painful.

Never had a dodge ball game (at least not like the movies and I don’t think it was ever called that) in my life, but my elementary school had the rope climbing but only on our random “fun/free” days along with the scooters that crush ur fingers
the climbing the rope thing was something that my school district did in Elementary school when the gym teacher brought out all the old gymnastics equipment from the 1950s that they had in the back room. I remember because all the kids who could climb the rope got to sign the basketball backboard on the hoop while up there. It's an older Baby Boomer/Gen Xer thing before gym class was redesigned from what I've seen--though if you go to rural schools like I did, they still have the ropes that they hang from the ceiling and bring out.

We had the ropes at school, I was actually very good at it. Although, I remember one day I climbed so high I touched the roof… that’s how I found out I had a fear of heights😂

I have never wear a crop top in my life, not even when I was super skinny :D I guess it's some kind of fashion, but there are many other fashion kinds! Even a teen could benefit from more clothes for elders or just some normal clothes for adults :D
when I was in elementary school they used to make us try to climb a rope, otherwise you could just Tarzan your way across the three mats they had sat down under it. I tried to climb it once, rope burn sucked lol.

We had to climb the rope in elementary. It had a few knots toward the bottom and we had to make it to the top knot, not the very top although some kids did! High school had them but we never had to
In elementary in Colorado (Mesa Elementary School) we did rope climbing once a week. There was a bell on the ceiling we were supposed to ring. I never made it to the top of that rope, well, maybe once but i dont really remember too well. Nothing like that in middle or high school though far as i can tell.

in elementary school we had a giant rope that went from the ceiling to the ground and my teacher would put mats around it and we would climb the rope and try to ring the bell. it happened like once a year but it was everyones favorite day in gym

we had climbing ropes in my elementary school and this weird like… it was wooden frames that held like monkey bars and platforms and shit and it was always folded up against the wall we never used it but we used the climbing ropes, that shit was dope i killed it
