Abdullah Ibrahim yelled at me during a solo concert. I unknowingly offended him --- he saw the bottoms of my shoes and let me have it. I meant no offense, but I guess there's no excuse for ignorance, as they say. He was fantastic. I'd like the chance to see him perform again ---- feet planted.

I'm a musician from South Africa. Also been to concerts & workshops by him. He's not a nice or humble guy by any account; I have some anecdotes. (A fellow musician of him even refuses to listen to his music because he can find the arrogance in his music; I don't, but you can actually when you're at a concert and you see the way he does things even in small things like the song set-up and his interactions with musicians while playing; maybe I'm looking into it too much). A great musician though, and even though he's not "nice" guy he did a lot for the fight against Apartheid, so he's still a good guy in my books.

@moilwalk It is considered an insult in many cultures --- and Ibrahim is a Muslim, to show the bottoms of one's feet. I did not intent to insult or distract him. I was enthralled, and then, seemingly out the blue, I get chastised. I just didn't know any better.
