*UPDATE!!!! YYYYYEEESSSSSS!!!! England 2-0 Germany!!!! WWWOOOOO!!!!* COME ON ENGLAND! We're in the knock off stages against the old enemy Germany! It's going to be a close one but cheering the guys to do it. Was out and just jammed an improvisation with another pianist and the guys at the side asked if I could play Football's Coming Home - also known as Three Lions. It was football song which first came out in 1996 for Euro 96 and has just stuck as an England Football song. This was played at the public piano at St Pancras just outside the Eurostar exit. This is everything about public pianos - sharing music, and strangers just having fun, singing, dancing and just being one nation. Actually this was one of the very first songs I played the first time I went out to play on public pianos in July 2018. At that time it was the World Cup! ua-cam.com/video/_PkETJ5KuBw/v-deo.html
Please do not write "against the old enemy Germany!"... I love the song "Three Lions", alternatively titled "Football's Coming Home". It's also a hymn over here, best wishes from Munich, Germany! Regarding the football match on Tuesday "Live at Wembley": It's "In the Lap of the Gods", a great Queen song!! Once again you did a great performance! 🎹⚽👍
"Footballs Coming HomeThree Lions amazing again though u did'nt sing this time with the guys who were very happy with u playing it a couple or partner on the other side were dancing with the beat of the music great performance again Cole!love it young man keep it up for us ur followers!God bless Cole Lam.
As the virus ebbs, restrictions ease and the crowds build in number, after a gloomy year of lock down, can you imagine the joy and pleasure you'll be able to give in these public performances? Knowing you, I sure can. I'm really excited to once again see the adoring looks on the peoples' faces and watch you enjoy performing with a live audience. Hope you'll include some singing in the lineup. The future is finally looking bright again. As Tiny Tim would say "God Bless us, one and all". If there's a LS tomorrow, see you there, and as always, Love ya buddy, stay safe and healthy.💖💖💖🤴of🎹👏👏👏
OMGGGG I MISSED THE PUBLIC PIANO PLYING SO DAMN MUCH, IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR MONTHS. Hopefully you can do so many of these now that things open up.
The nearer grown up versions of your earlier great songs are so enjoyable to hear. And, you're ready to mingle with the crowds when they finally arrive. I predict standing-room-only soon. 🥳
Hello, Great playing and a really good song 🙂 It's good to see the audience join in to play/sing with enthusiasm 😊 I hope you and your loved ones are well, happy, and enjoy the rest of the weekend 🤪👍
This is really great stuff Cole, Where is the little 11 year old (or you may have even been 10) who played and sang "Three Lions" on another station piano, what seems like years ago. Don't forget to let your Patrons know (through Patreon messaging) when you are planning to go out again and play these public pianos. Some of us would love to come out and watch and listen to you live and we can also whip up the crowd for you.
IT DID come home. Read on Britannica: "In Renaissance Italy the rough-and-tumble sport of folk football became calcio, a game popular among fashionable young aristocrats, who transformed it into a highly formalized and considerably less violent pastime played on bounded rectangular spaces laid out in urban squares such as Florence’s Piazza di Santa Croce. In his Discorso sopra il gioco del calcio fiorentino (1580; “Discourse on the Florentine Game of Calcio”), Giovanni Bardi wrote that the players should be “gentlemen, from eighteen years of age to forty-five, beautiful and vigorous, of gallant bearing and of good report.” They were expected to wear “goodly raiment.” In a contemporary print, uniformed pikemen guard the field and preserve decorum". Florence, Italy, is home to modern football. Played by gentlemen of "good report" in an environment where decorum was cared after. Which is hardly the case for Wembley Stadium.
Cole, The guy who is playing boogie woogie alongside you in this clip, looks very much like the guy with whom you played a boogie woogie duet in a Christmas session you had at St. Pancras Station and posted on 10th January 2020. Is this the same guy? If so, what a coincidence.
What a shame they didn't know the rest of the words lol ...Well done Cole....can you play Vindaloo...i think that was the much better Footy song....more up beat and fun x

Phenomenal - I reckon if you played this even when the football season is over it would bring the nation back together! Keep it up Cole!
England will prevail until the end. But if it's against Italy, it might be a tell tale sign of the past. Love the song.
