I am originally from London and my husband and I ate breakfast there every Sunday morning for years. Their food and their service is exemplary, kindly remember this is a highway stop not a 5 star steak house. I had mashed potatoes with my breakfast, how many restaurants will accommodate a guest like that? Thank you to the restaurant for a lot of enjoyable meals over the years.
They did a lot for example when the upgrader was built they built and housed the workers in dorm accomodations next to the college. Then when it was finished, the dorms were donated to the college.
There is a small Husky station in Toronto in Leaside that still sells gasoline. It's a small station & the restaurant in the back sells veal sandwiches.
There's definitely some left. I saw one in Hamilton and another in etobicoke/mississauga area when I was driving through. They are definitely shrinking though because the one in Kitchener is gone
Usually we have had good meals here with good size portions at a somewhat reasonable price. My go to is the chef salad. Large portion, big enough to take half home for next day. 2 months ago, my husband ordered the thanksgiving turkey meal and the double scoop of mashed potatoes was cold. Very surprised at this because usually it is a great meal. They did bring him another plate of hot mashed potatoes.
I've enjoyed a number of meals at a variety of locations. The freshest location was in an industrial area of Mississauga west of the 410, last visit they had a payphone at each booth but that was a few years ago. To an old location at hwy 89 at 400, very dated decor although the same style overall. Same menu at each so you knew what you were getting into.
I’m not sure about currently Dave, but the husky used to have killer fried chicken. But you had to get there at 12:00 PM bang on before it was all gone. I used to haul auto parts from London to the Cami plant in Ingersoll and we always stopped in. At noon to grab some chicken.
I've never had a bad experience at a Husky House. Went to the one on the 401 at Joyceville out eastern Ontario for a few years, always great. They made homade hamburger soup and it was awesome!! They just refurbed the entire Husky in Windsor and haven't tried it yet.
Being a london guy myself living in toronto , I am surprised I havnt seen a stobies pizza review down on Richmond everyone use to go.there after the bars for pizza good memoris
Not sure if they still do it but, they used to have a Sunday brunch buffet that was amazing! Great quality and a great price. My parents used to live out that way and we would go a lot. We would only go on Sundays so I cannot speak of the menu items. My brother occasionally had a Club sandwich which looked as it should.
Everythings homemade.....the burger looks frozen and fries are frozen lol love that Big Dave isnt afraid to call them out, but nicely.
lol just saying

Being a kid from Alberta (who has roots in Saskatchewan), I remember the Husky presence in Lloydminister quite distinctly.....when we drove through.

Appreciate that, glad you enjoyed it!
Food looked pretty good- just wondering- was the egg runny or hard ?
little jammy, would have preferred more runny

It is always great to hear that people have good experiences. It is a bummer to hear your husband had a cold potatoes. But good of them to fix it.

The burger for $20 looks better than a Big Mac combo at McDonald’s, close in price, lasagna looked great.
It’s hard to beat the nostalgia of a good truck stop burger.
Everything is homemade except everything Dave ordered
right! lol
Husky use to be our hang out spot years ago . Breakfast was a big hit years ago to we had a group that went always good
nice to hear, thanks for the hat purchase!

In the 90's my friends and I used to go to the one in Windsor. Food was always good, my favourite thing was their navy bean soup.
