Highly recommend finding an artist with a portfolio of geometric and fine line work (if you want a thin line triangle). I got print lettering done as a walk in without seeing the artists work and the lines are so uneven... He went over some areas and not others. Simple tattoos take a lot of talent to pull off.
I liked your real attitude to things and I especially enjoyed the pacing^^ And my favorite from this video was the church. I have to go there myself someday
If you decide to get the tattoo and all things being equilateral, I'm sure it will be a cute one. You'll know if it's the right one and I'm sure that the tattooist won't be obtuse. Thanks for sharing your Berlin experience, I hope that it gave you the time and space that you needed.
Is just the start of the video but I wanna say this before I forgot. I dunno in germany but here in Italy for rare case you can autovalidate your tiket on the train if you have a pen with you or you can search the inspector on the train and explain to him the difficulties of stamping the ticket on the ground and usually, as long as you look for him first as soon as you get on the train, you don't incur any fines.
10:46 thats one of the bunkers! that one afaik is the only one left in Berlin and it's got a really interesting story behind it. you can get a guided tour of the inside of it and they tell you the story behind the bunker and its super interesting (although sadly they don't allow photography)
I loved the Germany travel series! 💖 I went to Munich Germany a few months ago. It was my first time ever traveling to Europe, and first time traveling by myself. I had the hardest time going around Munich on the Sbahn that I didn’t do much exploring 🥲 I wish to have as much confidence going around like you do! 🙏🏼
Don’t know why this was recommended to me by the algorithm, but as a Berliner I may give you a short advice for going to Berlin clubs. It doesn’t really matter what you wear, it’s more about if you have the Berlin vibe, or may I say spirit and that excludes touristy sightseeing of said clubs. It’s not that you aren’t welcome as a tourist as long as you don’t go there as such. Berghain is basically a gay club where people can express themselves freely and without fear of judgment, I think it’s really important not to take away places like that from them. At least be respectful and go with the flow. Or let’s say it like that: if you’re into bible studies don’t go to KitKatClub.
Thought it was really great you showing more regular life plus a bit of local sight seeing. I thought you might just keep it mostly for yourself and maybe some mostly German videos. Or chart your progress (but I think that might have put more pressure on your learning)
I wanted to take a very good look at all that lovely Asian food! Yeah, in Germany I would definitely go for the Japanese cooking! I do love me a Bratwurst though, even though I don't believe in eating Pork.
I would never go to a place where I wouldn't be let in. Of course, if a place is truly full, that's ok, but never to a place where they choose to let some in and some not.
I just looked up the place, and apparently it's a longstanding gay fetish nightclub with techno music. My guess is that Evan & Heather are a little too plain vanilla-looking, even if the bouncers will let in a number of straight couples each night lol. Plus if Evan was tired, he also probably looked uncomfortable and like he didnt want to be there. As an alternative person, I can see why a bouncer would turn them away at first glance when there's a long line of people who will bring better patronage to "fit the vibe" of their establishment. It sucks & is a bit pretentious, yes. But tbh I'm not really sure why Evan was interested in going there if he wasn't even into any of the facets of the scene it represents.
@@BlackCatBritt A place shouldn't select its customers. The very concept is absurd and outrageous! You let people in until the place is full, except for people who are violent, very drunk, high on drugs or otherwise unpleasant. Not because of the style of clothing, if they're a bit tired or anything like that. Places that treat people like that should be demolished and banned from ever existing again.
@@mytube001 I urge you to have some perspective; these clubs were a place of sanctuary for people who are different in a time when things like "sexual deviancy" was a punishable offense. There is a reason they started out (& continue to be) selective of their clientele, bc much like speakeasy's, if they let in the wrong person, the entire cover would be blown and the people inside would be persecuted for just being who they are- LGBTQIA+. You may think it's idiotic, but they are simply preserving the culture and history it represents, and there is something to be said for the feeling of freedom & camaraderie they provide for alternative people who can go in and not be looked at weirdly or with disgust. The goth/fetish scene has been slowly dying for decades & driven underground, & I for one respect them for staying true to the culture. Not everyone will understand it, bc it's not meant for those who don't.

Honestly, depends on the graffiti. If it's really well done, it can be rather nice. A quick spray paint off random letters or squiggles, sucks. I hated the spray paint on the trees
@@tomrogue13 I didn’t see a lot of amazing artistry as you do in other cities with designated spaces for fantastic street murals etc. Just felt like the place is overrun by 12 year olds with spray cans.
Note to Evan: if you arrive and the doors are open, go in - do photos later! I really enjoy your travel videos. Thanks for sharing them
Well it was golden hour and I would have rather got my shots with the nice lighting I did!

Very pleasant video!! My niece is about to go to Berlin to do a semester abroad for college!! I have recommended your videos to her!!
Enchanted by the streetcar and s-Bahn video. I would love to travel about my city using those kinds of transportation. TY!🥰
1:34 this street brings back so many memories. Warschauer straße station, take a right, cross left at the traffic lights and walk straight ahead
12:43 Boxhagener Platz ❤

When I saw the church I immediately thought of "Dark".
When you said the church was from a show you liked, I had hoped it was _Dark_ and I was _not_ disappointed. I think might be due for a re-watch.
Really appreciate this series of travel videos from Berlin. Sehr gut Evan, und tschuss.

Is it a FLAK tower?
What have they done to the airport? I had the worst wait times at border control and security (in and out). Makes me miss the old Schönefeld
You're from the UK, right?
I'm pretty sure the longer wait times at EU airports are a consequence of Brexit.

Heathers face for the bono quiz 😂😂😂
So glad you decided to go to the church on the last day, sometimes the stuff you want to do makes the best content.
felt like i was watching a extended cut of the NotJustBikes intro..
love that
hahahaha
Time for a cross over video 😊
as a tip: you can reserve a timeslot at BER security for free, then it takes like max. 15 min to get through
As always very interesting.
what german school were you going to? was it good? could you review your experience and language learning path?
I’d call them sandshoes (from Hull)

Hot take: German efficiency is a myth :) At least from my observation of almost two years living in Germany
