There is a trail that leads right up to it.. stop with the bs... atleast let us local residents hike out.. ill even sign a liability form.. stop treating it like a crime scene... i hiked miles to lava in kalapana when puo'o was active........
There may be a trail right to it, but as this USGS representative stated the area around the eruption is closed for safety reasons. So cut the pissy attitude and chill out.
@michaeldeierhoi4096 were you in Leilani when the eruption in 2018 happened like I was... no.... we get locked out of our own community due to BS risks.... and meanwhile local crackheads just walk in and Rob all the empty houses... they need to stop treating it as a crime scene... literally had an officer tell me oh u can't go the road is all cracked u can't walk... I went around later and the road had no cracks... local hawaiian residents like myself should have the right to access lava to make offerings and pray... Just as we are allowed access to rivers and ocean which is 20x more dangerous than slow moving lava........
