This movie came out not too long after Samuel had a starring voice role in GTA: San Andreas as a corrupt cop. This movie was basically like the movie version of his video game character.
You know sometimes the worst people in the world can be your family and your neighbors. Family if you can stay apart from but that neighbor. This is why sometimes I have to watch cartoons.
Enjoyable reaction. Hated the ending because up to that point Sammy L's character was portrayed as being smarter than that so him taking the bait about his wife when he got that due where he wanted him was out of character. Best thing for me is seeing Ron Glass in this film playing the dad he usually guest starred in many black sitcoms always playing a snooty bougie or swarmy or both character and starred in the black version of The Odd Couple sitcom with Demond Wilson in the early 80s. So its good seeing him in this film, kudos to Will Smith for casting him since he produced the film.
Say what you want about this film, it demonstrates how even in this time in this part of the world, such problems are still lingering on and the worst part of it, most of us don’t even see it, yet we know it happens or is happening elsewhere. When Lisa’s father asked Chris what will he do to protect his family, I was thinking to myself, “By any means necessary.” Sure, no one should be completely overprotective of their children but it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t let our guard down or at least, not prepare them to defend themselves; not when the world becomes worse every day. I don’t plan on having kids any time soon but if I do become a father in the most unexpected circumstance, I’ll do everything in my power to teach them how to deal with such events, both physically and mentally because any man who doesn’t prepare their children has failed as a father. If anyone dares to harm them in any way, they’ll have to face my wrath and make them rue the day they underestimated me. 😡❤🔥
i have not seen anybody react or do a recap on this movie. My wife & i saw this movie in theaters & it’s pretty good. Here’s a fun fact: Samuel L. Jackson & Kerry Washington were also in Django Unchained.
Don't exaggerate, i read the original articles detailing the events as they happened, no one got killed, the real police officer wasn't unhinged, the whole thing started over a fence where the white guy encroached on the officer's property and refused to take it back when asked. All they ended up doing was sue eachother. Even the newspaper and the people involved said the film took liberties on what happened and the people involved.
This movie kinda reminds me of the show i watched called Fear Thy Neighbor, when neighbors can be all nosy, become assholes, and had some type of erratic behavior like they be doing a lot of psychotic shit to people and causing to end someone's life. Y'all be safe out there 🙏
Meddling neighbors are the absolute worst! I was recently watching a TV show about nightmare neighbors and it made me appreciate my annoying neighbors more lol
This is definitely one of the better crazy neighbour thrillers... nice choice! Another good one is called Disturbia from 2007. Literally just rewatched it last night. It has Fright Night vibes but with a serial killer instead of a vampire lol.

Lol i disagree with you though on the part about the husband having that plan to get Samuel L Jackson killed. Sorry but Samuel L Jackson had to go. If he didn't do that, he would've killed him eventually. There really was not another way
Wait, there's a garlic shrimp Doritos in Korea? My Mom is into seafood so...Maybe I'll give it a shot. Korea does have some interesting ways to create stuff like food.
Good evening Sista😊! Lakeview Terrace (2008) is definitely an underrated movie, don't know why it's giving negative reviews. The film is not that bad in my opinion. Great cast by Samuel L. Jackson, he does such a great job as the bad guy, but when he did Django Unchained (2012) he was so ruthless and he pissed me off so much in that movie lol. Props to Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington with their roles. Speaking of unhinged Sista, can you please react to Russell Crowe's vicious performance, in the movie Unhinged (2020) on Thriller Thursday, he was much crazier than Samuel. Great reaction❤
Oh I hated his character in Django!!! I only watched it once and that was enough for me lol I heard Unhinged was crazy! I don't think it's streaming anywhere (for free) right but I'll add it to the list and will definitely watch it for Thriller Thursday! Thank you!!!
I can say I watched this movie less than 5 times. I hate the film because it doesn't give any redemptive scenes to why Abel is confronting this interracial couple. The only time that happens is when he tells Chris about his wife dying and her having an affair with his White boss. But then that negated with Abels' actions later in the film. This whole movie is calling Abel "a racist" and I find it gross and damaging to anyone watching this film and processing what's happening. There's too many examples just in film on why interracial couples never work. Examples being Hancock, Save the Last Dance, Something New, American Son, Zebrahead and Mother and Child. Just the pattern with who's casted in these films is also telling. My rating: Watch and then Recycle Bin!
I think one of the issues with this movie is that it was based on a true story but the overall details of the original case weren't juicy enough. So they tried to squeeze blood out of a turnip and it didn't work all too well. While I can enjoy this movie in the moment, it is absolutely nothing I would seek out
This movie is decent i guess but i would never rewatch cause I'm not a fan of these Wm Bw movies especially when they make a bm the villain that's why i would never watch Bring down the house something new or the show scandal
@@SistaGurlonFilms when I said I'm not a fan of the wm bw dynamic in movies I'm specifically referring to wm bw movies that are not based on a true story

Oh yea!!!! I forgot he voiced a character in that game!
“Crazy Officer Milkdud” 😂
😂😂😂
Girl Sammy played that cray cray real good. You had me rolling fussing at these people. . . 😂
He is such a good villain! I'll be so excited when he finally receives an Oscar

This is a throw back for me for real...I don't think I've seen it since it came out. Chris was so annoying my God. Sam is a messy villain.
Yes!!! Chris was really getting on my nerves! Abel gave too many signs that he was not a good guy and Chris just kept trying it! Lol

At first I thought he was the grandpa from The Cosby Show lol but I do remember him in some things. He did a great job in this

This is based on a true story, l watched it on ID Channel. The guy (Able) was more crazy than this movie shows lol smh!
What?!!! Oh I definitely need to watch that! I had no idea. Thank you for sharing!

It is a good time!!!! I had to cut out some good parts for copyright, but it is a good movie
I picture those Doritos smelling like fish food flakes. 😂

I got the snack from Willy Wacky snacks. They have some really unique options
Interesting. I'll give it a try. 😁
Able seems to try to help the community as a cop but I believe that the stress as a cop got to Able and that's why he's acting odd. 🤔
Abel is a perfect example of "the road to hell is paved with good intentions"
Indeed. 🙂
1 of my favorite thrillers & Samuel L film
I can't lie I enjoy this movie alot
It's a fun movie to watch!! Samuel was a mess in this! Lol
Even the daddy don't like Chris. Everybody Hates Chris LOL
😂😂
Karen is the white version of lakeview
Absolutely!!! 😂😂
Sista Gurl, i learning your your program, but please do the Mack.
The Mack is 100% on the list. I'll have to see if it's streaming somewhere 🤔

From what others have said, this movie is loosely based on true events. So maybe that's why this movie was based around an interracial couple
