If you want a ringneck, then you can’t have nice soft hands.
The fact that the Indian Ringneck discovered the effects contained within the opium poppy, and educated/communicated their discovery of the plant, and it's peak harvest time to distant "I R" flocks. It's mind-blowing that the farmers who grow the crop, and governmental employees charged with harvesting the latex, were forced to set off an alarm warning all concerned that the crop would need to be grown elsewhere if the damage to the harvest could not be more effectively controlled...
Subscribed and thank you for the video. I just adopted an IRN from a rescue. Supposed to be a "he" and 2yrs old. He was fine the first 3 days and now displays bluffing behavior... won't come out of his cage ( which he's lived in all his life and came with the adoption) He bites but is very quiet. I'll continue to work with him because I love him to pieces already. I do have other birds but he's my biggest parrot. He has that green bell toy that Ceylon has ...lol... I stuff it with leafy greens and apples and he forages. Wish me luck ! ~~ Love from Lakeside~~ Phoebe

I started with my ringneck parrot as a blind fellow after falling into a private pool (i got him from the zoo after a family brought him in). But when his eye sight returned, i has for a month or two hard time understanding him. Its been a year since then and we get along pretty well.
My favourite thing to do with him is give kisses on the beek.
Hi I have and Indian ringneck and trying to find some advise on her diet could u give any recommendation please any ideas how mucth fruit and veg should I feed her how many times a day is best along side quailty seed mix if to give raw veg or cooked sem people do these chop mixes and freeze them or something so there a few days worth ant ideas would be great help please

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 how close you got to the camera when you talked about how messy they can be, yes girl my IRN is a busy busy boy he acts like a dog, a human even very very intelligent if he can’t do something no matter how much I prevent him from doing it he’ll figure it out!! 🤣🤣🤣 when it gets quiet I know he’s doing something he has no business doing (just like a child) lol I love him so much same color as yours!!!! He loves saying “hello, give me a kiss, mmmmuahh, baby! & Watcha doing?!!! Huhhhh??” 🤣🤣Thanks for the info!! I have a IRN, cockatiel, & 3 budgies. They all are one big family and my Cockatiel loves him so much lol he cleans her off and all.
My mom is letting me get a Indian ring necked parakeet! I am so excited and doing as much research as possible. I already have five budgies and one African Grey as well as a yellow Naped Amazon. I'm going to keep the ring neck in my room. Do you think he/she will get along with my parakeets??
@@johannahyttinen3726 my city was a little hard to find. I called the avian vet that my other parrots go to, to ask for breeder recommendations. They recommended two pet stores so we called both of them but they didn't have any ringneck in stock since it's not breeding season yet. So I was put on a waitlist.

What about African ringneck? Can they be tamed? I got a pair of African ringnecks and they are scared of everything all the time
They can be tamed but are very difficult parrots they go through a bluffing stage witch they might bite you
…I already have one I didn’t get him a family member did
We have 2 males and 1 female the female dominates 1 male along with the female are cage free. The 1 male lives in the cage , we leave the cage door open when we are home. They love paper, I use a sheet of packaging paper generally a sheet lasts 2 day's .. unpainted wood seasonal ornaments and a rope from the dollar tree lasts a couple weeks for around $2.50. Less expensive than bird toys... they do have a metal spider from Amazon and plexiglass toys from the exotic bird show.... these have lasted 4 months so far so good... our bird's prefer corn 🌽 on the cob and home made corn tortillas peanut veterinarian bird food.

Ringnects parrots are only green in colour.... these are genetically mutated and not the original one....
