Returning to sewing after a 20+ year break and, to regain confidence, I began with an easy t-shirt pattern but couldn't understand why the right shoulder was slipping off, I thought it was my sewing. But, after taking a good look at my shoulders in the mirror I could clearly see a definite slope in my right shoulder (who knew after all these years). I had no idea how to compensate for this, but knew some kind person would, and here you are. I agree with another comment; your voice IS soothing and confident. Thank you so much.
What an amazing help! And your voice and manner is so soothing and confident. I wish you were MY sewing instructor all the time! I hope you make more videos. All the best!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Took me years to figure out I had square shoulders. Easy enough to adjust on set in sleeve, but I have a kimono dress pattern I just couldn't figure out how to adjust. God bless you!
Was there a previous video that shows how to trace your shoulder slopes? I was pretty lost through most of this video but I am pretty new to pattern drafting/altering.
Hello, that was really helpful! But I have a question. What is I have a dress shirt yoke. Do I make the adjustments to the yoke or the back? If I’ll do it to the yoke it will like very not symmetrical to the other side. Thank you!
I do not see how this works for better fit because after stitching the bust and waist darts, the shoulders will be more slanted, resulting in poorer fit.
The most clear explanation I have watched.

Brava....thanks for simplifying this process.

I have to make a high round back adjustment which makes this tricky. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Thank you.

I am a beginner
So benefit
Thanks....but would have preferred removing the white grid paper from underneath first.
Here's where she shows how to trace out your shoulders: ua-cam.com/video/ciCMXWIhDR8/v-deo.html

I still find it confusing.
