I replaced my stock esc after the red led of death got me twice. On the third replacement esc, I didn’t even put it in. I bought a max 8 v3 and use the stock motor and gearing. I go through 5000 packs in ten minutes now. It has so much more power now.

The traxxas maxx v2 felt like a turtle on stock electronics to me so I upgraded to the new hobbywing max 8 g2 combo, got the punch on 9 with 24/46 on 6s, straight monster plus it stays pretty cool 🔥👍

i put this in my car and put some arma backflip 4s tires on and it doesn't really wheely as much i need more punch

what 4s battery did you use?
0:55 is where I mentioned the battery I'm using. Not sure if they still sell it, this video is almost 2 years old.

@feverexplosion1968 you could use it. That said, it will probably overheat if it’s not gear conservatively. I wouldn’t do it…
