My mother hated me simply because she got pregnant and divorced in the same year. My entire EXISTENCE was a burden to her. I didn’t have to do anything to set her off. My mother loved to clown and embarrass me. Talked about me on the phone all the time. Called me bitches and hoes before I even knew what that meant. When I was in the 8th grade, all of my friends would meet at one persons house (changed weekly) and walk to school together. Well, my mother followed me, waited for 6 girls to come out (I swear it took 15-20 minutes to get dressed) and slapped me around like WWA because I didn’t follow the instructions and just go straight to school. I’ll never forget or forgive her. Glad we didn’t have social media. My daughter just broke rules and installed a bunch of social media apps and I got with her in private. Didn’t feel the need to run her/our business to my friends and family. So if the Moms think they “did something” by clowning their kids, it actually has the opposite effect. That’s some generational traumatic bullshit a lot of moms learned. Do better.
Um so my relationship w my mom is a bit better FOR NOW but before My mom would make it so obvious that she favors my brother, MADE IT VERY CLEAR. It doesn't matter how much the child (children) upset you, airing out their misbehavior will always say more about you as a parent. The first mom expects her child to eventually pay rent? Also the other mom. Poor living conditions, boy crazy, bad grades, and hypersexuality at a young age? Everybody has family drama, that's not social media's business about the specifics. The way these women talk to their daughters as if they are beefing with a woman of a similar stature raises red flags for me about their relationships.
