- The title of Milton Babbitt's late piano piece comes from Alfred Lord Tennyson's Morte d'Arthur:
"The old order changeth, yielding place to new,
And God fulfils Himself in many ways,
Lest one good custom should corrupt the world.
Comfort thyself: what comfort is in me?
I have lived my life, and that which I have done
May He within himself make pure! . . ."
Piano: Ursula Oppens

Thanks for the upload!
Exciting piece , and brilliantly played by Oppens. The score is more ‘ legible’ than some other ones by Babbitt where accidentals are repeated through tied notes which gives a congested appearance !
Fabulous! Thank you for the upload.
Please share it!
Wonderful.
and in the end, really is just music on the surface
Elégant, habile charmant. Ursula Oppens est parfaite. Une agréable monotonie dans le discours, peut-être trop ?
I 😍 random noise
I 🤮 music
