LiSA is literally taking us on an emotional journey every single time. By now, I´m just gonna have tissues on the table once I watch anything from her haha. I am eyeing three more singers from The First Take...TK and his unravel (thinking about making cover of unravel as well), Yoasobi and yuuri with their home takes. Which one would you like to see? :)

I forgot to mention this before when I watched your reaction the first time.
LiSA actually used her throats too much, her doctor actually told her she sang too much, or strains her throats too much.
She can't sing straight for more than 2 hours without breaks, she always carries a pack of ice and medication when she went on a live tour. She even made a schedule down to minutes, on what she has to do when she goes on live tour. She did it all. A cute and beautiful perfectionist.
So yeah you're right, her throats is just so damn tense. It can't actually take her techniques continuously.
On her first five years after debut, she didn't really know her limit, she often sang with broken voice at the end of live tour, but after that, it's just flawless, there's almost no breakage in her voice other than the intentional ones.

LiSA's voice is one of those that after listening and feeling better you realise that you were actually down the whole time before you heard her singing.

Lisa-san has really grown throughout her journey as an artist. I remember listening to her first 2010 song Ichiban No Takaramono when she was only a newly introduced unknown artist. All i could say was wow, the song was sooo sad, the lyrics coveyed the emotions of what fans of the anime it was played in was feeling. Combining both a sad scene and an authentic sad song propelled her popularity.
But her first main song that really showed her talents was Crossing field in 2013, debut for the first opening of a very popular anime. The same anime that became a movie which this song catch the moment was also specifically chosen to put into.

A song growing in intensity and when she hit higher notes and fry like you say (if I have catched correctly what you explain, fry is when she add a little short growl at the end of a word) I like that!! I think there's a lot of truth in your words when you said that she drives you crazy emotionally. For it happens to me as well and I felt that thoroughly in this first take piece. The way she utilizes silence (read -pauses between the verses) in her singing makes me indeed realize that silence is so golden and in that silence, when her voice does not speak, her quirky, cute and expressive gestures speak even louder and in that manner, the song becomes way more endearing for me, at least. I think the guys at First Take have done an amazing job with the camera, the angles, the amazing audio which picks up every tiny little detail that LiSA emits throughout. And of course, her personality shines so bright, so so bright. I might end up writing a thousand words in her name and yet feel that I haven't spoken enough about her.

What?! I only found LiSA maybe a month or two ago. I'm not a stranger to anime, to Japanese drama, to Japanese singing. I have apparently not been into it as much as I was years ago, because I should have known LiSA all this time. I have heard a fair few of her songs now, but I did not know this one. I love your reactions to LiSA because they are just like mine, so I saw your reaction to this one and had to watch it. What even was this? It was so intense! In a really good way, but wow. She's one of the greatest singers in the world, one of the very few on the top, and it is easy for me to say that. I keep suggesting her to other singers and vocal coaches, because if you are a singing professional, and haven't heard her, you're missing one of the absolute best there is. Thanks for this reaction.
