Good tier list! I would say Arnor would be just as high as Gondor. Yes, you don't get the dismounted swan knights for their leadership, but palace guards are close to equal statwise, have their own formation, and are available earlier on due to not having an outpost requirement. Also, Bloodline of Numenor is one of the strongest spells in the game allowing your units to just permanently heal for free without any other requirements. Also, I would put Isengard above Lothlorien as late game Lothlorien can just be so painful. No heavy armor on units is really difficult and their spellbook feels very weak with almost no call ins. Their final tier powers have very little punch to them too. Isengard, meanwhile, at least has a pretty strong spellbook with freezing rain, Isengard unleashed, and a host of other useful powers. These are just my opinions. Still a great tier list overall!
I like mordor but from the last few months I have noticed that their early game is more difficult to manage than many other factions because of orcs having very little strength without having sauron high level and other heroes present
Thank you Naodline for your regular Content. Can you make a Video with the Factions you would like to see? Because the Edainmod has still to places left for two Factions.
Thanks mate, I honestly dont know what factions they could add, the unchained mod brings in men of the east and most people wanted to see them other than that dont think any other factions they can make
With the Iron Hills you mentioned that their buffs units give to themselves and debuffs to enemies are negated with Freezing Rain. How do you know that's how it works for sure? I would think that makes those leadership-cancellation powers are too powerful, even if they are temporary. I never thought that was the case for the description: giving Iron Hills Guardians +30% armour doesn't feel like leadership, changing formation doesn't thematically feel like it either. Thematically I always think of the Helmsdeep scene with Théoden, so his pretty big leadership towards units and heroes should be ignored with the Freezing Rain power. With a little stretch, I can see the Nazguls' Dread Visage debuff also cancelled out. But not powers that individual battalions/units give themselves because of pure skill
It purely depends on how both freezing rain and abilities are named in the files, I dont know 100% if this is correct, but from what the spell says, units lose leadership bonuses, if unit abilities are not called leadership they should not be affected, amd maybe it is only passive leaderships that are affected. Because this is a vanilla power it is likely what it says and only affects abilities that state they are leaderships, but it is difficult to test using ai
@@Naodline2627Right! I forgot there was only one type of leadership back in BFME1, one that didn't stack with others either. Would be helpful to get a dev's insight on this
Imo, Isengard is way to rigid of a faction across base, Edain, and Aotr. It's clear the Isengard is meant to hold out, take out strategic and/or important structures to delay the enemy, just long enough to get points to pump economy higher, which should take key map awareness, knowing your enemy, balancing between spending points for offensive or eco powers, which all sounds like what every faction has to do right? In that case, why does Isengard HAVE to make it worse by default just because the chance of an end game, sum 20-40 minutes later, will be better? by the 20 minute mark, I've gotten a few basic Uruks with maybe upgraded armor or weapons, while my enemy can absolutely counter them because the other factions roster wasn't based on a gimmick. I do love Isengard, and I know they have won major battles, can win against any faction because EVERY faction is balanced to win/lose against everyone else and it takes the skill of the player to win, but they just feel worse by comparison when I play their opposite faction, Rohan, who has a way better and notorious spam, the peasants, which god tier Cav.
@@zonolith5912 yeah I fully agree, Edain team have started making visual changes to isengard buildings, maybe they have more updates planned for the next patch
I'd say the Iron Hills outpost (Ered Mithrin) could improve the Zealots and Dragon Slayers but the Hunters are damn good as they are now. They make short work of monsters and are a good way with dealing with troll spams and even mountain giants, but they do need heavy support as with any ranged unit.
Yeah their units do need a bit more attention to feel useful enough to get considering that they dont have a hero to buff them like with lake town and dale
Did you play the Angmar campaign on 4.7? I found Angmar very tough to play, the upgrade system I find a bit awkward with the builders you have to put in the buildings. Angmar is strong but early game is difficult
That is the hidden one, a create a hero made by the edain team that allows me to do a bunch of things I was not able to do before like having all of the different citadels and units all together in one skirmish game

I knew Isengard would be last. I also figured Iron Hills and Lorien would be further down too. Surprised at Mordors placement though…

I have played through the campaign it was tough and you definitely need to be willing to accept a few defeats before seeing the victory screen
Can you do a rank on strongest to weakest Ring heros?
Already ranked all of the ring heroes, was one of the first ranking videos I did
What about custom hero builds in Edain from strongest to weakest without the exploits and bugs of course.@@Naodline2627
