    Those pools are my favorite spot on the planet. They are my brain's happy place. If I could live anywhere, I would live above those pools. Hoping to retire early in Portugal in 2-3 years, but husband thinks Madeira is too "sleepy"... just subscribed and going to get him to watch more videos of yours!

    • @LauzaAndMichael
      @LauzaAndMichael  3 роки тому

      I think it used to be sleepy, getting much more vibrant now. We love it 😍
      Hope you can convince your husband - we’ll keep the videos coming...

    Michael and Lauza, new subscriber here from USA. I started following your blog, but a little bit lost because I’m trying to watch it by episode number from # 1 to the latest. I don’t seem to find the episode number in each video. So, will you kindly put the episode number if you can please, if you don’t mind. I love to travel, food, nature and ocean very much. So far I love your content, your simplicity and humbleness. Portugal is in my bucket list but with the Pandemic it’s very hard to make travel plans, one day I’ll get there. Life is so short, you are definitely making the right decision to travel, film/document your adventures. Stay safe and healthy, most of all HAVE FUN. I will continue to follow you.❤️🇺🇸🌞

      Judith, thank you very much!
      Interesting that you can't see the episode numbers, which are at the end of each videos title. We had them from the very beginning. We release videos once a week and can can see them in order (you can sort from oldest to newest or the other way round) on the videos tab on our Channel page. Please let us know in case you still can't see the episode numbers.
      Hopefully traveling will get easier next year and Portugal is really a treasure that we hope you will be able to visit soon.

      @@LauzaAndMichael, thank you very much. I will follow your suggestions, or maybe it’s just a minor thing that I need to know & learn. Anyway, I already watched a few of the videos, just did not want to miss anything from Day 1 to now. Don’t worry I will figure it out. I’m a Retired Grandma, sometimes new technology challenge pops up, it’s good for an older brain, thanks the Lord Mr Google exist😆😃😄. You both take care of each other, enjoy life.

    Next time you go there have a walk through the tunnel to Praia Formosa, there’s lots of light so no need for a flash light and some views from within the tunnel. Really enjoying your videos 👍

    I have many guava trees in my garden here in the azores (feel free to come here too it's also very please and unique).
    They are very sweet if you eat them really mature. I don't eat the skin and just here the inside without chewing. delicious. You can also make very good fruit jam with it.
    Good luck

      Not much different as waves from the sea keep splashing in the pool.

      In this video we went the first part of the Lido Promenade. What do you mean with Lido? Any particular place that you would suggest us to visit?

    • @christinag8740
      @christinag8740 4 роки тому

      The Lido area is great. My favorite Restaurant is Il Basilicp 7 Rue de Leichlingen, this is right next to The Residence in the Lido area. The Residence is owned by Porto Bay. I was so happy to find your streams. I have been going to Madeira with my parents since 2007. We would go for 6 weeks from the end of May. My parents had timeshare, we stopped going because We moved to Florida. There are many great places to eat. There is also good place to eat near The Lido Bathing Complex

      I have been reading up and that’s what I found:
      At first people used any colour they wanted to paint their buildings, but blue became the most common because it was cheap and readily available.
      A blue-tinted cleaning agent called “loulaki”, that was used for washing clothes, reacted with the limestone plaster and when a few tablets were dropped into it, it dyed the solution blue. It was a common product that most households would have on hand and, because the whitewashing was done up to three times a year, was often the easiest color to default to.
      The colour combo quickly became a trademark of the islands in the late 1960s and, attracted to the money coming into the country from a jump in tourism, in 1974 the government made it a law that all houses must be painted in the beautiful Greek colors of white and blue.
