The parachute deploying halfway through the burn is giving me kerbal space program vibe😂
Ah damn it! It's the staging. IT'S ALWAYS THE STAGING! ʷʰʸ ᵈᵒ ᴵ ᵃˡʷᵃʸˢ ᶠᵒʳᵍᵉᵗ
Check yo staging ahahah
So I’m not the only one 👇
I don't want piss in this parade, but that's also how actual flatearther perish in his rocket test.
@@HVM_fi mad Mike Hughes, Parachute came out at launch.
"Really puts the MISSILE in mistletoe!" I laughed pretty damn hard.
Me too 🤣
hilairious!
"In this version we keep the rubber bands-"
HE SAID THE THING
This made me laugh so hard.
Hehe I feel special to know what this is referring to
From "I am good at make Ng video"
Hmm, I don't get it
Can someone explain?
"Season's Yeetings" is extremely good. As is all this extremely clever camera work.
Kinda cringey
BOYS! THE PLAN IS SIMPLE…
Pointy end up, festive end down!
@@Codebreakerblue Tim Dodd might need to say that for a Christmas launch... ;)
Now land it...
Like Starship.
On a boat.
Some things even budget elon cant even make work
@@Thefreakyfreek i can't even, but you can
Oh gosh
Joe Be like : am i a joke to you -_-
for my next birthday, you should try and launch a yule log!
OMG Happy Birthday Buddy!
@@BPSspace thank you 🙏🏼
How are the hands and feet feeling?
Your rockets almost never work but I love your engineering talk.
If it gets off the ground that's good enough for me!
I'd say it worked about as well as you can reasonably expect launching a tree to work. It went (mostly) up, it deployed parachutes, it came down gently enough to not fully disassemble itself.
using an Insta360 Camera was a suggestion, I made a few times in the past. Well that you got Insta360 as a Sponsor is a whole new level!
You and like 300 other subscribers. 😂😂
This is turning into a Hallmark Movie:
Joe was a big city builder boy who needed some space. Xyla was a country girl maker with a yearning for wide open skies and the scent of rocket fuel. Together they create Christmas magic and yeet trees.
@Banter Maestro2 “ Sparks really fly when Xyla pushes Joe’s Big Red Button!…”
That's a Hallmark movie I would actually watch!
I can’t believe it’s been a year already. Who would’ve thought you’d ever see a flying Christmas Tree holding a selfie-stick while ejecting payloads?!? Excellent video! 👍🏼👍🏼🌲
This is what I like to call *“TACTICAL CHRISTMAS, INCOMING!”*
I just bought an ornament! This is one of the most insane rockets I’ve seen in a while, fantastic job!!!
They are to much for me but good for you
merry christmas to the team and keep up the great work
As a photographer I love this side quest you're in of getting great footage
What a fantastic project of no value other than making people happy. Merry Christmas Joe and crew.
This was so much fun to put together! Thanks for letting us be a part of it. Christmas tree space shot next year? 👀
Success or fail, I'd watch XYLA weaving baskets. Love her looks, talent, drive, curiosity, and passion. That will keep me watching.
That was a complete Kerbal-style launch! Complete with early parachute deployment! Hahahaha I loved it!
Ok, Joe and Xyla, next year add thrust vectoring to stabilize the ascent and then perform a propulsive landing - on a flying one horse open sleigh! 🌲
Happy Holidays!
You can see flutter developing on the fins with the external view at 13:05, really interesting!
I am amazed by your storytelling techniques, especially after collab with Mark, Great going...!
Just ordered my yeetings ornament. You all are amazing. Can't wait to own a piece of Season's Yeeting's history.
Super glad this is a yearly thing, loved it last year and it was amazing this year too!
Seasons Yeetings!
I enjoy watching your rockets fly. 🤗 Always a great job at explaining without being too technical to understand.
🎄 Seasons Yeetings!!
I am speechless. What a genius. Thanks for being productive and not destructive with your talent and knowledge.
I loved how the presents under the tree went flying as the exhaust hit them.
I'm amazed this thing worked at all! That it and the cameras landed safely as well is just incredible... Happy Christmas and an excellent rocketry New Year!
I loved how the three just decided to do the proton LOL
I believe this is quite common with the Christmas tree rockets. Still cool no matter how it turned out though
Honestly one of the best sponsorships I've seen on UA-cam. Certified banger video as usual Joe, may the christmas spirit always be with you
I'm good with that sort of natural sponsorship. I bet there are a lot of folks who don't know these sorts of cameras even exist, much less that they are actually pretty easy to use.
Super cool project!
Great video, its cool to see you progressing the camera tricks for capturing these flights and i hope you figure out the spinning camera. Happy holidays
You seem to have a very lovely group friends. Wishing you all a very merry Christmas.
I can just imagine them asking the christmas tree salesman: "What's the drag coefficient of this tree?"
What makes this video great is you are making science and engineering fun which is inspiring others to follow in your footsteps. Great video! Well done. And Happy Christmas!
Next year: making a Rocket powered Santa's sleigh
I hope you use these insta360 cameras more often, that 3rd person view from the fin looked amazing
I think it a great succes, there were enough fallback modes to create good shots. have a great Christmass and all the best for next year
Wow that last 360 shot was lit!!!
WooHoooo!
The Stars wanting to be the "Shooting Star" took control from the fins rotating the trajectory down. As we all know, Shooting Stars are Falling Stars.

Alignment issues with the Star bolted to the top of a bendy tree, lead to large moments at Max Q.
I always learn something new from your videos
The sketch’s are a great add to the videos 👍
insane how far this guy came from.... keep up the work
Got an ornament for my kids and can't wait to tell them why! LOVE what you guys do!
Your mercy makes so much sense. I love that so much
Thanks for revisiting the Christmas Rocket, I hope this become a yearly tradition.
These xmas launches never fail to put a smile on my face.
This, this is so much every single other launch in KSP.
The rocket going of course, the last minute addition that made the difference and the nerve wreck save by parachute before disaster.
It's hard to beat it.
Always enjoy this. Great job team.
Super impressive and Hilarious at the same time! When it first launched I was thinking, "maybe it'll work this time..." and then... it started to arc and I was in hysterics. Your creativity is inspiring, thanks Joe!
That was absolutely delightful. Thank you for the great video.
Seasons Yeetings to you two too! 🎄
I'm so excited to have another flight proven ornament on my family tree and y'all are supporting another great cause!
A flying christmas tree... I love this!
What a great fun project. Impressed you were able to top last year
I love all of this so much. Ordered an ornament.
Nice work, as always.
I have never seen anything like this haha! that was absolutely fantastic and the cameras definitely made it super cool :D
Hi Joe! It's late but I wanted to comment before the day is over - I started my college journey towards Mech Eng today and you're partially to thank for that. The bps projects helped me realize I'd hate myself if I don't contribute to rocketry (at least a little) in my lifetime. You're a role model for me and the way you dedicate yourself to problems is inspiring. This is pretty sappy for a YT comment so I'll leave it at that 🙏
The onboard shot you did get is great.
omg i see the seasons yeetings stickers every time i’m at far and i had no idea where they were from until now
The cameras are surprisingly cool for being a sponsor.
Awesome video!!! Thank you for sharing this video Joe🎄🌲🚀🧨
Great video, have a good day, a Merry Christmas and a happy new year everyone!
great stuff like your attitude and style
if you're considering doing another "Santa's workshop extended cut", know that at least one person will watch all six hours of it. I've already watched the first one twice ;)
keep up the great work!
The way it just landed was amazing 😁
Merry Christmas to all of you!!
One of the coolest ways to end the year
Cool ,Nice recovery 😎🎅
I say this live and it was awesome. Nice job!
Good stuff as usual Joe!
Can't wait for next years yeetings!
That parachute really did its job too well xD
So much fun, I love it! I missed out on the ornament last year, they sold out too quick. Glad I was able to buy one this year!
5:25 Exactly what I was thinking of criteria.
Dude this made me smile 😊
This BPS dude is up to something
Merry Christmas
commenting to support... loved the video
"sketchily" love it!
INCREDIBLE footage. That title deceived me, that was a GREAT missile!\
I was waiting for this moment
The Christmas special, dare I say
"As is tradition" aaaaah he said the thing!!
Amazing rocket christmas 👍
Ty for the videos, great channel.
Great video, Joe...👍
Fantastic, absolutely fantastic!
Happy Seasons Yeetings!
Nothing says Happy Holidays like a Xmas tree hurdling around the sky on a big motor 😁
I wonder how I'd simulate this on OpenRocket? 🤣
Nah, I would say that in the end it all worked great. 👍
Hey, Merry Christmas to ya too!
1:04 LOL looks just like the RCS thruster from Spaceflight simulator.
That was spectacular! You can bet I ordered an ornament too. XD
That was spectacular!!! 🎉🎉
That was absolutely epic
It's worth noting that "yeeting" isn't defined as perfectly vertical in trajectory and on that note I would like to congratulate you on your Christmas rocket working perfectly.
Christmas madness love it
Interesting to see your transition into ballistic missiles has begun.
I love this content
