Beautifuly said! I loved the end with Thorne and Macy how they telling eachother to stay strong, and that they will get through it together. This whole ordeal definitely made them stronger and closer as a couple❤️
I love that homonym, and it is really very fitting - Thorne is denied bond, but his bond with Macy is reaffirmed. And in that brief scene after the hearing, the show is once again (like when they repeated their wedding vows) explicitly stating the stakes in the Thorne/Macy story - that this is indeed a "trial by fire" an a test of their strength as a couple, and that they are in the process of _earning their happy ending_ (or, as Thorne puts it, they're "being prepared for something"). They even joke about it as they together conjure up the metaphor of a couple climbing the Mount Everest in handcuffs (maybe they read your Super Mario reference!), and then there's a heartbreaking moment at 18:04 where their masks of forced optimism fall off as both of them gasp for air at exactly the same time, unable to hide their despair from each other any longer (which is also a good example of the "mirroring" that BE and JT do so effortlessly in their scenes together).
PS: Thorne tried to go outside the law himself when he broke into Ivana's apartment. But that was doing something on his own - on behalf of Macy but not _in conjunction_ with Macy. Now to set things right and regain control of the plot, Thorne and Macy will have to _work together_ outside the law.
@@NewYorkNick0607 yes, but there's a distinct difference between Thorne's and Macy's way of relating to "the law". Thorne has broken the law before and he will do so again later on in this storyline (although for a good reason), but Macy has actually shown respect for and trust in the law and encouraged Thorne to do the same (starting with her telling him to "do this the right way" as he was being ar rested, and now her trusting that Thorne would be released on bail and later on saying to Connor "this is so wrong!" as if she couldn't believe the law had failed her when she trusted in it). And when she realizes the law won't help her, she decides not to break the law but to _become_ the law - to do the poli ce's job herself. Taylor slowly realized that there is more in LA than Ridge. There is also her father, her career, her friends... especially her good one Stephanie. Never understood why she turned away from that all, just because of thinking she had lost Ridge.
When Taylor got her memory back her first and last thought is all about Ridge….letting Ridge know she is alive. Omar took that chance away from her…so Taylor seeing Ridge and Brooke together…bought into Omar’s theory inexplicably? 😮 Now Taylor has changed her mind about being the Sacrifice for Ridge’s happiness. Considering how the hearing turned out, the contrast between Sally's optimism (planning an impromptu wedding) and Stephanie's pessimism (her disapproval of Sally's idea) shows which one of them is more reliable as a narrator (as *Nick* has pointed out). Sally, the unreliable narrator, was sure everything would be fine to the point where she went ahead with the wedding plans (which she now has to can ce l), while Stephanie who is a _reliable_ narrator didn't think the wedding was a good idea, as if she could foresee that things wouldn't go as smoothly as Sally had hoped, and Stephanie was proven right.
And Thorne and Macy re-affirming their commitment and correctly stating that they are being tested but will have a big grand wedding at the end shows that they too can be reliable narrators _when they're together._
@@NewYorkNick0607 I think of the two, Macy is usually the one who is more grounded in reality. But in this storyline they are both reliable narrators, which I interpret as a sign of character growth (especially on Thorne's part).
I wrote yesterday about how there was a symmetry between the court scene and Thorne and Macy's interrupted wedding because both scenes had Macy alone looking up at a circular window or painting in the beginning, the sets and camera angles were very similar (the door to the left, the window/painting to the right, a wall with several windows opposite the "fourth wall", the seating with a kind of aisle in the middle, the altar/judge's seat to the right with the minister/judge), and both scenes start with Macy hoping to get married. This episode, the similarities are even greater with Thorne trying to convince everyone of his innocence, Connor advising him to show restraint, and the scene ending with Thorne once again being taken away in handcuffs as Macy watches in despair and realizes that yet another wedding attempt has been interrupted.

Unless Brad was buying time because he was unsure on what direction to take the storyline in next?
Poor Connor. In Yesterday's episode Eric told Connor that if the lawyer was doing his job, then he should be able to bring the bond down (less than a million dollar). Connor tried that and now bond is refused at all - and Stephanie only addresses Connor and that *Connor* should have accepted the offered bond deal. (no "we" should have accepted it)
Yes, they put all the blame on Connor, when _Eric_ was the one who didn't want to pay a million dollars in the first place. And _now_ Stephanie says that she doesn't care what it costs.
are we to believe Ivana let Anthony kill her with a letter opener without fighting back. Come on, his skin should be under her finger nails. There was DNA in 1995. Who exactly is the forensic teams in LA?
Does that work that way in the US? People who volunteer at the hospital or nursery homes will just as likely agree to come to the homes of the rich to help out? And here we have to worry how we will get more nurses and caretakers for the elderly. Where are our (cheap) volunteers? 😏
Connor already had it tough with Dylan, but now he might have an even worse client. Dylan didn't mind to incriminate himself - Thorne is doing the same, but Thorne is the suspect in a murder case.

Taylor you have every right to blame Omar and James for taking your life away from you!
I love soaps. My "stories".
I would have told him!
Thorne the hot head dug his own hole 🕳️
How long will this conversation between Taylor and her dad go on?? It's getting boring and repetitive.
This bail hearing is silly. It would’ve never gone this way.
Does that work that way in the US? People who volunteer at the hospital or nursery homes will just as likely agree to come to the homes of the rich to help out?
And here we have to worry how we will get more nurses and caretakers for the elderly. Where are our (cheap) volunteers? 😏
I thought that was funny too
Can happen when there is such strong attraction between the patient and the volunteer ❤
Connor already had it tough with Dylan, but now he might have an even worse client. Dylan didn't mind to incriminate himself - Thorne is doing the same, but Thorne is the suspect in a murder case.
Sometimes I wonder.... Taylor wrote Ridge a letter about the ONS with James and she has never mentioned it since then. She expect that she will get her husband back. Why does she not expect that Ridge read the letter? In 2005 she will tell Ridge "I cancelled it out"😂😂😂
Ridge never got the letter, did he? I actually thought it was very bad writing to only let Ridge know about James in 2005! They totally destroyed Taylor's character back then!
this was never Taylor the real Taylor died in 2002 that one was a disfigured character like the whole deserted series @@scor66
Good for Thorne , what was he thinking 😅😅.
Brooke just hinted that she's gonna s cr E w Steph over when she said that she *needed her work*
All her pretend goodwill is soon to be out the door
