    Spector's are the best I have one myself. and I lobe it. I don't play it any more, but I have wanted one sice I was in High school and I finally got one off of eBay for $175 was the first thing I bid on and won.

    Hi!! Thanks for your comment. You have Spector! and It's a beauty!! You should play it once in a while. You Know? This bass things is a living thing. If you ignore them, they will be really depressed. Neck Bend or Twist or string gets rust or so. I have 11 basses, and I am trying to change every strings for them every once in a while. Anyway Thanks Again!!

    Use lemon oil for the fretboard, put some on a paper towel, wipe it on, let it soak in and wipe off the excess after a few min. Might need a few coats on that old girl! sounds great man. Fellow spector junkie here.

    The bass probably has an EMG BTC tone circuit installed. As for a preamp, EMG pickups have an internal preamp inside the pickup. But, you can use an external pre-amp. Check out this guy's 78 Jazz bass video.

    Spector's are fucking devastating. THE bass for death metal. I love mine. The punch they carry is very heavy.

    @chessdude67 Thanx for your comment!! and, if I try bass again, I Definitly go with Fender Jazz Bass. Because Jazz Bass is a standard of bass world. Everything. Sound, Shape, Feel.
    And If you play loud, You need to control the strings. I mean You have to mute the string that you are not playing. I'm sorry my english isn't good.
    And if you want to pull different sound, the first thing is you should know bassic bass sound. Like Jazz Bass(front pickup and rear pickup and both) or P-BASS!!

    Wow! Dig everything you did in this video! I see you have a collection, lol. If you were a rookie again like myself, which bass would you go with...? I like your green one, but you make them all sound good. Don't get a big head now, lol! I want to make a move and buy now.
    When I hold a bass(upside down...Lefty) in a store. They are feel like a slab of meat with cables! Will I have to practice at a loud volume to get all the different sounds you are pulling out of a bass? My tinnitus is bad.

      鮫魅音力 hello are you certain you want to go with a six string? I have two five strings and they often feel like there are too many strings, but good luck with which ever you choose and great luck with changing your wifes mind

    What preamp is in that Spector?

  • @cursedswordsman
    @cursedswordsman 11 років тому

    I heard that Spectors sound kind of flat unless you compress them and don't have that growl. Is this true?

    • @ciscco3750
      @ciscco3750 7 років тому

      I have Spector Euro 5. I dont have a compressor so I never use it but my bass growls when i play in line, in different amps and cabinets even in chep ones. This is kinda one of greatest advantages of this bass coz it sounds great and predictable in different conditions.
