'Bridgerton': Nicola Coughlan Teases Penelope & Colin's S3 Love Story

- Nicola Coughlan thinks fans will "love" Penelope and Colin's romance in "Bridgerton" Season 3! The actress teased what's next for the duo, who ended Season 2 in a dramatic spot. "I'm excited for [Penelope] to maybe put a bit more worth in herself and not think that [Colin's] this perfect angel," she told Access Hollywood. Charithra Chandran also told Access if Edwina could find love in Season 3. Plus, Nicola dished on her run-ins with Kim Kardashian and Regé-Jean Page at the 2022 Met Gala!
So one of the scenes in season 2 that is hella underrated is when Edwina was talking to Penelope at the soirée. Edwina was being honest with Pen when she told her she looked good in yellow. It was a very sweet moment.
I do hope Edwina comes back with her prince and maybe she and Penelope can strike a truly genuine friendship. I think both ladies would benefit from that.
Edwina's story is irrelevant given she's not a Bridgerton.
So excited to see Pen become Mrs Bridgerton. Romancing Mr Bridgerton is my favorite book and Colin and Penelope are my favorite Bridgerton couple. I know Luke and Nicola are going to do amazing with this story. 💛
I’ve enjoyed recognising all the books scenes and how they’ve adapted it. I can’t wait to see what they do with all the key moments 🪞 💋

Just want to acknowledge this was an amazing interviewer! The questions were really lovely, she listened and was attentive. Access give them a raise.

OK I love the 4th book ,and Penelope, and Colin's romance, but I'm now more curious than ever on how the show will write Benedict's love story ( hopefully in the 4th season) because lady whistledown ,who was still secretly Penelope kinda play a role on that story don't be dramatic I haven't spoiled the book for those who hasn't read it yet.

We need that scene in the show! I´m going to be so freaking pissed if they don´t do it. That scene was the moment which Colin realized that he really wants Pen as a woman, not only as a friend.
These two actresses, colleagues and friends are redefining the nature of an interview, taking the baton from the interviewer - interacting as much witch each other as with the interviewer. Not to mention that their emotional maturity and feminism is immensely refreshing.
Why,? I like so much Benedict and sophie. there are my favorites from the whole Julie series. I also like Penelope and Colin but not as much as Benedict and Sophie. I really hope season 4 is for Benedict and they don't skip his story, otherwise i'll be very disappointed.
I think it’s because Benedict and Sophie’s story spans 2 years from the moment the meet to getting married. So I THINK what will happen (what I would do) is the first ball of season 3 be the masquerade where Benedict meets Sophie but then have him looking for her throughout season 3 and then season 4 he finds her etc and then it’s their story.
@@Polin-dx5ru I agree. The masquerade ball needs to happen in season 3 and for Benedict to start looking for her. And, I hope the writers for season 3 are mindful and not combine all the balls to unveil other siblings subplots as well.

Yess and i beleive that prince is her nephew! The one that daphne was engaged to, before realizing that the duke was the one for her. He was so sweet to daphne even after that dilemma. I approve of him for edwina!

I think it will be difficult to do another Cinderella story but keep it feeling fresh and original, I’m sure we’ll get them in season 4
Since there is a two year gap in when Benedict first meets Sophie and then meets her again, we will most likely see their first meeting this season. They already said that they’d be showing all of the siblings stories, so I’m not worried that we won’t get to see his.
@@jamiekam376 I really hope that happens that the show tell all the siblings stories especially Francesca and Benedict cause their stories are my fav but Netflix is known for cancelling shows so I don't trust them
I totally agree! I have a feeling they’ll condense a few of the siblings stories (since they overlap in the books anyway) so they won’t need to have eight seasons. And as lame as it may seem that each sibling doesn’t get an entire season, it will cut out some of the extra fluff that isn’t as interesting. I loved Francesca’s story. I’d say books 3-6 were my favorites.

Love these two and this interview! The setup for POLIN was there from the beginning. I hope everyone stays hyped for this season even with the disappointment of not getting Benedict’s season - but it has such a great set up this season!!!
I'm so disappointed with the timeline change (among other things) that I'll stop watching the series and will just continue enjoying the books.

I don't even have theories for Colin and Penelope story as in the books Colin was sad that both of his elder brother has made their place in the society known and also found their better half and he was also worried that Eloise was lady whistledown Penelope had kept her secret well hidden
Of course if you know the series you know that’s in the works
I know a lot of books fans are upset with some of the changes they’ve made thus far, but I think it’s kind of fun because even though you know the ending, they may take a slightly different way there. It’s nice that there is some element of surprise and you’re left creating your own theories until then.

I am being seriously, season 3 is about polin, as season 2 was about kathony/kanthony, we dont care AT ALL about Edwina history, she's Kate's sister, THATS ALL, this interviews shoud be doing with the actors who are bridgerton, and they are STILL in bridgerton, Charithra in any moment told in the video, that she will returned (she already saidd that shes not gonna back in some back interviews) I just dont understand

@@Biancasampaiou I haven’t seen anywhere that she has been confirmed for S3. So much time was wasted with Edwina in S2. I don’t want the same thing to happen in S3. At the end of the day, Edwina is not a Bridgerton!

Looks like it. I like Charithra and I don’t mind Edwina being in Season 3 but it’s the way it feels like they are swapping out Kanthony for Edwina. We can have both…or just Kanthony 😝

@@nikkimay7 If Edwina is in season 3 she will not be swapping out Kanthony. Anthony is the head of the Bridgerton family and Kate his wife, who will now run the household. This will now give Lady Violet Bridgerton time and opportunity to do other things if she wishes
@@winterhug4331 what I mean is- Edwina moments in season 3 means less screen time for any other plot line. I know Kate and Anthony will be in s3, just that I’d rather have additional scenes for them than some strange sub plot that involves Edwina 🙂
I think that’s unfair. I love Kate and Anthony, I literally rewatched the season 7 times already 😅 but charithra is a fantastic actress, and she gave Edwina a depth that the character didn’t have in the books. I wouldn’t mind a storyline in season 3 where she gets her prince, or pursues her love of books

What happened to Benedict’s story? I think it is better than this one, at least the book was. Fingers crossed they do a good job!
