I'm full-size since I also have a work setup baked into my complete setup (KVM and whatnot). I make good use of the number pad and function keys, and it balances out my 49 inch super-ultrawide and 80 inch wide desk nicely :)

75% is my favorite size for a desk but 65% is my favorite size for travel. If I didn't have a couple of games that needed lots of keybinds then I would be pretty hard committed to a 65% at all times.

Personally I think the remapping UI is pretty straightforward and user-friendly. Yeah, it's a bit of a hassle to havta drag and drop to remap, but it seems intuitive and it prevents the problem of losing a key to the abyss if you remapped it and want it back.
For example, going with your suggestion of clicking on a key, and then pressing the remap to remap it, if I remap my Esc key to just be another letter X key, well how do I remap something to Esc now since my Esc key has been remapped to X? You could reset everything back to the original for just the purpose of remapping, but what if I switched out my keycaps to match my remapping, then I'm not necessarily going to remember the old default mapping.

I expected something similar to GMMK, but my expectations fell apart once I saw this keyboard.
I was hoping for something high standard from Nzxt, but instead they just made a cheap low quality keyboard
But the mouse was decent, though it still has some input lag compared to other competitors.

"High standard". The one's who haven't learned how to make a case that doesn't suck with airflow and don't add anything to the next iteration of the case? Those high standards? The same high standards that chocked off m.2 airflow of their mobo? The one's that when they announced a new case with airflow in mind they added a screen in the front? The only thing they have going for them is minimalism. And they can't even do that well without causing fires. The puck they have for headphones is good

    • @mikeyhope7577
      @mikeyhope7577 2 роки тому +1

Nzxt can’t even make a case that has good airflow or doesn’t catch on fire. Idk what high standards you were expecting.

There are boards out there with better build quality for the same price. By the time you put money and effort into making the experience better you could of built one for cheaper and to the spec you want. You don't have to be an enthusiast to build a better board. As far as mass production, anyone with the heart could out perform this board.

I'm a tkl with a usb numpad. I like the tkl + numpad combo, except it works best when you have a numpad with a detachable cable, and a tkl kb with a usb port, and both can be hard to find.
Being able to move the numpad to left or get rid of it entirely is a really nice feature.

65% or mini TKL is perfect for me. I typically use only the 40% part of the 65% keyboards for work related typing with both hands on the keyboard but it's nice to have dedicated keys for when I don't have both hands on the keyboard, like when I'm watching UA-cam videos or just browsing web pages.

I watched your video about 2 months back as a review for this keyboard. You where the reason I decided to spend my money on this and I am very glad I did. This keyboards build quality, Switch quality and the sound of the keys sound very premium.
I have been through quite a few keyboards in my time with computers and its normally a switch goes or some feature of the board. This keyboard every part is basically replaceable meaning you buy this once and you'd never need to buy another again.

Well actually to be honest what I'd like most is a TKL with attachable numpad like the Everest Ultimate does it so I can move it over to the left but I don't feel anyone has gotten that right yet aside from the Everest Ultimate which is impossible to get where I am in the world (and insanely expensive, like 2-3 times the cost). I've also decided that low-profile keys is where it's at for me which pretty much locks me into Logitech currently. Give me a left-side-numpad full keyboard with low profile switches and I'll buy it in a heartbeat even if non-removable numpad.

I like the full size boards because I need the num pad for gaming.

I guess I'm old because I strongly prefer full size. I just never even think to type numbers using the top row. My fingers just instinctively go to the keypad.

I'm a full size kind of guy, mainly cus I do design in my computer and that numpad is essential.

glad to see the team at nzxt could make a great product in this industry. they might not be really sure of the industry standards and the consumer base's wants or needs, but the functionality of their keyboard was really impressive. they really clicked all the boxes and that tiny scroller would be so damn useful. excited to see how things develop in the keyboard world in the next few years, mind you Im one of the poor souls who hopped on the nk65 just to see things explode in my face LMAO lets do this shit
