Unreal video , spent 3 days looking at my medical school lecture slides, didn't understand shit(pardon the pun), with one 30 minute video you acc cleared it all up . Legend
This sir deserves himself a medal! I have final exam for physiology in 1 week, and I wasn´t understanding s***t about all this motility process. with you I finally got it! Thank you so much! Btw, I saw the video of gastric secretion, but could you do a video about Intestinal + Liver secretion? xD cheers
I'm a biology teacher just brushing up on university stuff for a premed exam and this was gold. So rare to find a well articulated, funny and knowledgeable video/presenter! Smashed it dude.
Very well done! I’m not in medical school but I’m trying to learn about gut health and common ailments/ symptoms. If I can follow this, without a day in med school, then your med students should definitely be able to follow along. The beauty about this video is you included the out lying functions to describe how much the rest of the body is involved in gut health. Thank you!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 job well done!
Most memorable physiology lecture I've seen thus far! (couldn't help but to smirk when you were talking about evacuation of the poop). I will never forget large intestine motility :D
Wow! This is a GREAT video to answer my question and then some!!! The human body is AMAZING! And…. Professor Zach Murphy, your direct eye contact with the camera puts me in the classroom. I’ve learned so much; I know it will have a positive impact on my health. Thank you!
Dang, just got out of GI block, thanks for carrying me through medical school by the way. I am trying to get my medical school to give you half of my tuition but they seem against it
I love you Bro! I am preparing for my USMLE exams soon. Please do all the basic medical subjects in details like this. Thank you very much for all the hard work !
I almost finished your all playlist except a few ones. So thanks to you, ninja nerd science! Lectures so far are so helpful for studying. I hope I could donate to your channel by getting scholarship in this semester. Studying in medical school used to be always boring and exhausting, but now it doesn't!! thanks to your channel.
Ok I am only a fourth of the way through this video and I am in love. You are nailing this presentation! And in the process teaching more than my gastro doctor's even seem to even know. I think I just figured out my gut problem. Whoa.
Good Lord, this man is an amazing professor! His videos are super well explained and his drawings make it all so much easy to understand. I LOVE your videos! They do really help a lot. Thank you, really.
Just in time for revising the GI block before finals. If you're still making videos when I graduate, I'll write you champs a cheque. Much love and many, MANY thanks for all that you do :)
Great Sir, My daughter had problem of defecation reflect and for months and months she did not feel any urge. Being father and knowing the origin of the problem , I tried to convince Neuro Physicians and Surgeons and Gastroenterologists that it is related to nerve and no body believed that and today I found evidence to my proposition. At last I turned to Homeopathy and the problem was "Magnecium Carbonicum"
Excellent video! I had my rectum removed due to rectal cancer and have been trying to understand how feces is processed/moved through the large colon. Thank you!!
Nothing better then learning while being able to chuckle. Great for refreshing and connecting the dots. Thank you for making me laugh and the great teaching. Never 😴 bored.
Thank you kindly for all your videos. With respect to the segmentation/haustrations, a large component comes from the circular muscle contracting , combined with the contraction if the taenia. With these contractions localized to a point, the unstimulated portions of large intestine bulge outwards into these space called haustrae
Great video, posted so many things onto my insta story because this shit was so funny. Zach and NN crew, y'all are life savers and hilarious. Yall are the best professors Ive ever had.
Can you please upload a video on viruses, its classifications, as well as its mechanism of actions. A lot of people (especially non-medical people) need awareness on this. 🙏🏻
Amazing lecture! Thanks for sharing all that! Small sidenote: in the large and also already in the small intestines, electrolytes prominent are sodium acetate, propionate and butyrate e.g. ... they are utilized by the intestinal wall metabolism as a primary energy source....most classic lectures are not even mentioning that
Thank you for all the great explanations ! Anyways , I was wondering if you guys can make us a video about nucleotides metabolism . It would be much appreciated ! Thank you guys again for all the hard work and God bless you all .
Hello sir it's ARP from India Sir I loved all your lecture and wanted to help your channel by donating but due to money crisis not now but I will definitely donate thi channel after becoming successful doctor in my life. Love love ❤️❤️❤️ ARP
Thanks for explaining the Large Intestine. Their are thousands of us that have had colon cancer and had a Lower Anterior Resection and we have had little control of motility of our colons.. We can not control when our colon will discharge feces. We suffer constipation and/or diarrhea along with clustering (repeated defecation for hours). We understand that usually happens because the 'nerves' are cut during the resection and sometimes they don't heal. This is called Lower Anterior Resection Syndrome (LARS). There is even a Facebook Group dedicated to this group of people. Do you know of any studies or other research that is looking at this problem? The only 'real' 'cure' currently is a permanent colostomy.
very nice work. clear and easy explanation. im bout to get a colonoscopy. my doc doesnt understand thec absorbtion value of the large colon. you stated that within a few minutes. b vitamins and electrolytes. my understanding is that each pocket feeds seperate systems as well. maybe there is something to it, as you attributed seperate nerves being affected. ...i bet you study basic chiropractic as well.
You are great !! what is your name Sir ? You should call your web sites Master Socrates not Ninja . You are incredible in making subject matter easy to understand. Thank you so much. Don't forget to put your name please somewhere on the board
