My lil brother passed way to young from a freak accident.. Used this song at his memorial.. Can't fight the tears every time I hear this.. Thank you for this beautiful song.... Depicts my lil bro in everyway
Lost one of my childhood best friend last week we made to our late 40s were supposta grow old n make more memories but life saw other wise this song always hits home n so sorry for ur loss😢😢💔
@@crystalrodarte7725 thank you and I'm so sorry for your lost as well. I'm all that's left of my brothers and sister and all I can do now is stay close to their kids and grandkids and be there for them.
@@crystalrodarte7725 Thank you for your condolences and I'm sorry for your loss. Here it's been over a year now and and it hasn't been easy. What makes it harder now is in June my brothers 4th Grandchild will be born and he won't be here to see her.
Reminds me of my "battle buddy" from basic training/ait as two young, dumb 'cruits...we were side by side for just a few short months, but made a lifetime of memories. That was 30yrs ago and we lost him in desert storm 28yrs ago. Still keep in contact with his family, and carry their family picture in my wallet.
@@codyhess3262 I lost mine 30 yrs ago. Right after this song came out. I played it at his funeral. The entire church cried. I still do listening to it today. hang in there.
Raising me a glass to my fallen brothers. I hope theyre up in the heavens raising hell, laughing like fools, drunk as a monkey, flying high with the music loud enough to wake the dead and they’re all with each other waiting on me once again to finish my chores, so we can be together again like we’re meant to be I’m toeing the line brothers and I ain’t forgot nothing
Doesn't seem that long ago grey 5tchevy parked in the front yard love ya skynyrd keep in it real no fence no boundaries Ronnie Zachary Vanzant is flying thr sky's this evening
Losing someone is the worst pain you can ever feel. Is rather be shot and feel the pain for the rest of my life then lose someone close to me. It hurts so much😔☹
Everything has a reason, and this song has one! If anyone out there can tell me a song out there that has such a powerful aura to it that has been made in the past ten years, I will genuinely be impressed.
Temple of the Dog .... Hands down I feel this song. Pearl Jam and Sound Garden got together to make one Album together in memory of their friend. The whole album is great but "Say Hello to Heaven" moves me. It does even more now that Chris Cornell died after a concert in Detroit. He was the lead singer of "Sound Garden" made an album with "Temple of The Dog". Then got together with "Rage Against The Machine" and formed "Audioslave" in the ninties. Great band.
Love this Song. LOSS of Loved Ones is Tough Emotional Life Changing. Johnny Your the Freebird Now. Ronnie and All the Rest that Passed On are Looking at You. Do Them Proud 11✝️✝️✝️
I wouldn't have ever heard of this song except for some horrible choices made by 4 kids, all only 15, and at one of their homes with dad's keys on the counter. It was the most beautiful November day in 1990, we'd gone on an "adventure" with our little almost 2yo son. It was so much fun. When we got back to town, we stopped at DQ for ice cream cones, took a few pictures of that little boy with ice cream on his nose. While we were there 2 ambulances went quickly past with lights and sirens going nonstop. We hoped that it wasn't as serious as it appeared. After we'd been home an hour or so, there was a phone call. A mutual friend told my husband we would have to find someone else to babysit because our sitter's 15yo son had been killed. Those kids had no intentions of anyone getting hurt, they were just doing stupid teenager things. Before they left the driveway, there were only seatbelts in the truck for 3, so with the 2 girls in the middle, our boy gave his seatbelt to her. Somehow, they got too close to the edge of the softened gravel road and the truck went into the ditch with this boy's head underneath, killing him instantly. He was the best kid you could imagine, so kind and polite. He loved basketball and could have gotten a scholarship as he was nearly 7' tall. They had to measure him for his casket. On the day of the funeral, it was held at our high school gym since there were over 1,200 people who attended. I was nearly 8 months pregnant with our 2nd son and couldn't believe this nightmare. Just great kids. His brother picked out 2 songs he wanted played for his younger brother's funeral. One was Something to believe in by Poison, and Brickyard Road was the other. I couldn't stop the tears. Those 2 songs had to have had very special meaning, and to this day, almost 34 years later it's hard to get through this without crying. Sorry about the book, but the story means a lot to me.
Miss this type of music. You don’t hear it anymore.
To all who love this touching tribute to a brother, i say listen to "Freebird Child" by Tammy Van Zant, to hear a little girl's tribute to her daddy.
