I bought this effect from Mark Mason himself at Blackpool. It was such a nice trick to practice. I learnt the routine well while I was practicing it. But my gimmick broke. I managed to fix it following Mark’s excellent guidance. He claims on the tutorial that the gimmick will almost never break! And he supplies you with extra magic stuff to replace it if needed. I’m very light handed with cards and gimmicks but my gimmick broke not once but 3 times within 4 days of practicing!! And I ran out of the special stuff to fix it. Mark also explains that the special stuff is very hard to find, that’s why he supplied the extra. Let me make it clear that I have the greatest respect for Mark and I’ve always loved his products. I just wanted to share this for complete transparency on the experience I had with this product. So it’s something to consider. Hopefully nobody else has this problem and I was just unlucky

I just got this, and I really like it. It is a bit fragile, but it's not a big deal. When this was released, VanishingInc would not carry it because it seemed to similar to another effect called "Abra" that was released years ago and which looks identical to the effect that's created with "Quartet". Apparently, VI settled with Mark Mason because it is back on their best sellers list. Nice review!

How does this compare to Travel by Jordan Victoria? Seems like the exact same thing to me? I absolutely loved travel but it breaks after only a few times of doing it so for me it’s wayyyy too unreliable for real world use. Is this any better?
No.
Spend your money on a book, or cool packet trick. Or, if you want this kinda thing, learn a copper silver coin routine. Get a sun/moon coin. Rem. These cards cannot be examined and need maintenance to remain operable. Just don't bother with this.

@@phil.c. first of all I’m not saying that you didn’t buy it, but it’s kind of clear that from your opinions. You most likely did not buy it. It’s a great trick and even though it is fragile, it’s very very stunning and it’s reliable as long as you’re doing the trick right and not screwing it up.
I don’t have travel so I don’t know but I think they’re pretty similar. I’ve heard Quartet is more reliable but I don’t know 🤷🏼♂️
My only worry is the durability of the gimmick and how easy is it for someone to remake the gimmicks once it wears out.
The gimmick can be performed many times and for when it finally does wear out it has replacements.
It’s not your typical “ET” and it’s not terribly hard to repair 😁

Nicholas Lawrence’s version is a totally different trick. I think this is similar to Jordan Victoria’s. No need to own both I don’t think.

Although a cool trick, I will never support Mark Mason due to being called out and insulted during a penguin live convention in Detroit. I do not support the guy. Lost all respect for him on that day.
