    I really liked the idea of finishing on time and on next appt come in early to have more time for the refill

    The working on both eyes at the same time is the only method I use. I find it less stressful. If a client or I decide we would like to experiment a little... I generally will book them accordingly on their next fill. If classic to hybrid then I would add pro-made fans in the current appointment but in the very focused areas depending on the shape😃
    Ps: loving your videos. Only came across them recently.♥️

    Yesterday i asked fb lash group members if they always cover 100% of clients lashes. I asked because even though I schedule 3h (that’s how long it takes for me to finish an avarage full set) appointments and most of the time manage to lash every healthy lash, sometimes new clients surprise me with how many lashes they have. I immediately know there’s no way I’m gonna be able to achieve full coverage knowing I have clients scheduled back to back. Of course it would be ideal to add extra 30 minutes but I know this may inconvenience the person that is scheduled next. So I asked what they do in these situations and I was kind of taken aback by their responses. It seems I’m the bad lash tech that doesn’t care for their customers because I don’t always do full coverage because they always do and they would never let the client leave their studio not having 100% lashes done. I mean., seriously? You want to tell me that throughout your whole career you never had to rush through an appointment for whatever reason? Or that you always extend your clients appointments when you realize they have billion lashes that are tiny and difficult to isolate? Because I think it’s unrealistic when you want to make money in this business. I mean, I may not have much experience (I do volume lashes since January) and I know I could get quicker but I don’t think full set done in 3h is that bad. However, I do realize it’s sometimes unfair that clients with fewer lashes get 100% coverage in less time and those with full lashes sometimes leave with 80% lashes done but is it entirely my fault ? I can’t afford to charge the same for 4.5h set as I do for 2.5-3h one. I’m always honest with my clients and offer discounts (not much but enough to convince them to come back) and suggest earlier fills. Anyways, what is your take on this? Do you believe you should always do full coverage no matter what? Considering not every clients has the same amount of lashes but pay the same money and also they may be late or slow you down by constantly moving while lying down. There’s so many factors to consider and I get that but I felt pretty awful yesterday when they suggested I’m bad lash artist.

    I seen somewhere that primer actually dehydrated the lashes instead we should be using distilled water??????

    • @LostArtistryLash
      @LostArtistryLash  3 роки тому +3

      Hey great question! Our primer is made of ingredients that help balance the ph level of the lashes to avoid dehydration... Some primers on the market are heavily alcohol based so I can see why some artists would recommend distilled water! The alcohol that is dehydrating is "Alcohol Denat", try and avoid this in your primers and you should be good to go :)

    I struggle telling the client to not talk. I know that sounds silly to say, but I’d love any tips for ways to handle chatty clients ? I find they go back to chatting or it’s awkward.

    • @LostArtistryLash
      @LostArtistryLash  3 роки тому +2

      I usually ask my clients to 'Have a lash nap.'. Reassurance is also key... Tell them that the need for some quit is nothing against your client!! I also like to put spa music on so they get themselves into a calm state.

      Lip gel pads

  • @stupidsnaps
    @stupidsnaps 2 роки тому

    When you put the gel pads on with the client’s eyes closed, how do you ensure you got every lower eyelash? Ever since I once accidentally put a lash fan on a client’s lower lash, I dread it. I over-tape now and check all throughout services.

    • @LostArtistryLash
      @LostArtistryLash  2 роки тому +1

      To check, I lift the lid in each section to ensure all lashes are secure. If they are not, I move the pad to cover the lashes. It just takes a little practice to get the hang of putting the pads on with the eyes closed but once you get it, it’s so helpful- especially for sensitive, fluttery or watery clients who don’t handle pad application very well

    If a client was running late or if I were on a time crunch and could couldn’t complete 100% of the lashes more like 85% should I still expect them to pay me full price for the lashes?

    • @LostArtistryLash
      @LostArtistryLash  Рік тому

      Everyone runs their business differently, and this is personally what I would do! If a client has a lot of natural lashes then it is not expected to get 100% coverage as it takes more time and product etc... If the client has an average or less than average amount, I would offer them a discount or a fill price. Clients who have more natural lashes will always look fuller in appearance than a client with an average amount of lashes! As for clients who run late, artists deal with this in many ways - I know Artists who charge a late fee and I also know Artists who are more forgiving. Hopefully this helps!!!

      @@LostArtistryLash if I have a client with twitchy eyes I have them tilt their head back a little extra and look at my shoulder and that seems to work…. I just wondered if there was some tip or trick that could save me the stress of that, hoping I don’t poke their eyeballs haha
