I' m Italian and often listen to this piece, in my opinion one of the best of recent times. I love it for the deepness and sensitivity this artist displays at dealing with homosexuality, stripping it of all prejudices and hypocrisy, and looking at it just for what it is: a form of love between human beings which can reach high levels of purity and union of souls. @@dragestil Yes, Hozier has achieved fame even in my country with this great piece, I can still remember that he was invited to the Festival of Sanremo, our most renowned music contest. Of course it resonates, I love it most of all when it goes "In the madness and soil of this earthly scene ONLY THEN I' M PURE, ONLY THEN I' M CLEAN". I' ve learned this piece by heart, and the sentence I' ve quoted is able to give me chills whenever I hear it. ❤️
