The French army only has 77 of these howitzers. They are very good equipement that follow the NATO standards, you have to add the total of what each country has contributed to realize that the contribution is great.

I am not an expert on heavy artillery but most videos I saw shows artillery battery on open fields. I guess there I a weapon. The farmers will complaint less...as long as they can live. There will be better times.

Not sure how many were gifted, but each Caesar howitzer with a 40 km range is worth $5M new.
These are most likely used first generation Caesars, as the ones owned by the French army are about to be replaced with the second generation Caesars. Still, these are recent howitzers built this millennium.
