Jayda Interviews Sydney Sweeney at SXSW 2024

At SXSW 2024, 11-year-old Jayda interviewed television and film star Sydney Sweeney about some of her favorite things to do when she's not working.
For Jayda, a patient of Dell Children's living with sickle cell anemia, hospitalizations are nothing new, but can often bring on moments of stress and anxiety. With Starlight programs, she feels comforted during those time of stress.
"Starlight [programs], like the toys and books, help change her experience," Jayda's dad, Chris, said. "They've helped [Jayda] through the process at the hospital. Play in the hospital is important, especially for kids who are frequently hospitalized. It takes their mind off of the things they're going through and allows them to be a kid."
