just a suggestion as well make the usb you are making drive letter X or Z so it dosnt conflict with other drives or things you plug in at later time because it can really mess up the pathing in retrobat.
Lol yeah, being able to finally beat arcade games is awesome. Like i wasted so much money on metal slug but never even got close to the ending. Now i can finally see all the levels
I'm not sure about the speed of running RetroBat on a flash drive. Maybe it's just my scenario? I bought a Sandisk 512GB USB 3.2 flash drive and installed RetroBat on it hooked up to my Windows 11 gaming PC. The PC also supports USB 3.2, but I am getting sluggish performance in the menus and am unable to play anything other than N64 games and older without choppy and laggy gameplay. I checked, and it's plugged into the highest speed USB port as well. I installed the exact same setup on my internal SSD and had no issues with speed running RetroBat with the same games. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need a different flash drive?
Ps2 and wii run fine off an average sd card. Like doesn't the switch use sd cards for storage? Pretty sure any usb stick or hard drive should work (unless it's really crappy or ancient) and how well the games run depends mostly on the pc used to run them.
@@eradicatinglove Well I don't have much idea how to set up stuff on it. I am having trouble trying to make it not show the same image two times, both on right side and under the name of the game that is highlighted. I just found a build that is like 1.2 TB. I will try to get that if it only means I won't have to bother messing with the settings. I think I should be able to just copy paste. Having a set of ROMs is also a bonus but then again you won't be needing more than 10-20 systems in total beside the arcade mame stuff.
Yeah having at least 1tb SD card or flash drive should do the trick. Just stick to your favorites systems and games. I recommend a 2TB, imo 1tb is not enough if you want to play PS1 and above but I guess it depends on how many games you want for each system. I wish there were bigger flash drives but maybe soon we will have them.

That's a great suggestion thanks
