I bought one of those fridge magnet chalk boards and used it over the loaded quilt to design my quilting pattern. What I ended up with was a surprise secondary pattern as I was using rulers! Thank you so much for that tip!
I'm new to your videos. I just purchased a Q20 on a studio frame but won't get it until next Monday. So I'm watching videos to learn as much as I can before I get practicing. I love your videos! They are very helpful and get me thinking.
If it's an edge-to-edge I generally go on. I try out new or unfamiliar designs on quilts that are not super precious to me, and that's part of the "practice" of quilting. For custom, I have occasionally un-picked. If it's not feeling right, I stop pretty quickly and take a break or sleep on it and then re-assess. If it's a dud, out it comes. Stopping and giving it some time seems to help me come to a decision, and I've never gone really far and had to massively undo a quilt.
Always late to the party but love watching your videos from FL
Thanks for these videos. I've been a professional longarmer since 2009, but I'm always learning and interested to see what others are doing!
Wonderful information I know I watching it very late but it’s always great.
I enjoy seeing your shows. I’m glad you had a nice vacation. Glad to see you back in your shop.
More to come!

Love your content, soooo helpful to me❤
I'm so glad!
Still would like to hear your advice about how to charge for quilting for others!!
Good topic! There aren’t really hard and fast answer, but certainly some pointers 👍🏻
Hello, watching a day late. Have you ever started quilting a design and not really like it? What do you do? Go on or change ?

Love your video. off topic what are the lights you have mounted in the background? Are they for quilting? Camera work? Or both?
Both! Designed (and priced!) for camera work, but very effective for quilting also😁
Watching replay but what do you mark your quilt design with -?
Usually an air-erasable marker, the purple ones.
Thank you
Is the backing all one color or also shaded?
It is all the same.
