I had severe road rage in my 20's (I'm 43 now) until I started to pray about it. The Holy Spirit led me to thinking about how I was acting towards the driver, a person, rather than reacting to the vehicle. Road rage gone, melted like snow. It wasn't instantaneous, but over time my thinking began to change.
I often have that problem of being able to discern good and evil while finding it very difficult to actually express that to others without sounding judgmental. So far, I've found that the best way to do this is to simply live it out by your own example. DO your best to resist evil and others around you will see that. When the culture around you has normalized sin, they'll wonder why you don't follow the same and maybe ask you themselves. When they do ask, simply respond that "those specific things are sins according to God and you don't want to sin against him. I seek his will and not my own." Oh, they'll still very likely despise you. Your good example will feel condemning to them. But, this is they way Christians have always been. By not following the world's sinful lusts, we are hated by the world and often persecuted. Don't fret about that. Simply do what's right and let God handle the rest. When your workplace or school, or anyone else is getting drunk, having an orgy of extramarital sex, accepting homosexuality and other perversions as normal, cursing like sailors, and doing anything else you know are sins simply abstain. Don't be one to cuss, save yourself for marriage, abstain from alcohol, and don't follow those who espouse unbiblical practices. You don't have to directly confront them, just don't respond in a way that affirms their beliefs. If they ask, you say homosexuality is wrong. It is a sin against God and not normal sexual behavior.

For the first time ever, I have heard a pastor preach what every preacher, through out the ages, should have been, and should be preaching - its the First Commandment: Love the Lord your God with all of your heart...etc. We break God's Commandment if we don't follow it. A Christian should: live With the Holy Spirit, live In the Holy Spirit, and live For the Holy Spirit. Then, we will truly Love God because the Holy Spirit will be living in us. There is no alternative. When the Lord talked of the "narrow path", its actually a very narrow path - no place in it for the world. We are in the world, but not of it. (John chapter 19 verse 30; Luke chapter 23: verse 46 ) and was placed in a tomb and rose from the dead the 3rd day ! "HE IS RISEN" Matthew chapter 28: verse 6. Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and rescue us from eternal death. Because of Jesus' death on our behalf, all we have to do is believe in Him, trusting in His death and in the shedding of His blood as payment for our sins, as well as in His burial and resurrection from the dead on the third day, and we will be saved! John chapter 20: verses 24-31 WHOSOEVER BELIEVES SHALL TESTIFY TO THE TRUTH Romans 10: 9 That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart man believes in righteousness; And a confession by mouth is given for salvation. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. TO DIE IS TO REJECT SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST AND BE SEPARATE FROM GOD FOREVERMORE Salvation and forgiveness of sins is the blessing of anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We are sealed (permanently!) by God the Holy Spirit: Ephesians chapter 1 verse 13-14. Those who reject the free gift of salvation, see John chapter 3: verse 16 above, "perish", which means their sins are judged by God the Son and they suffer eternal separation from God and the family of God forever called the "second death". Revelation chapter 21: verse 8. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. ”Romans chapter 5:verse 1
I find judgement of others to be kind of exhausting. I listen to people who regularly criticize and gossip about other people. Honestly, I don't much care what that other person did or does, or how they dress, or what they said. I got enough of my own problems to worry about. Yes, I need to treat them kindly and care about them as people, but I have way too many issues to be constantly criticizing others. I have my own flaws, insecurities, sinful tendencies, and plenty of other messes to worry about. There are personal issues with my own walk with God, with school, with work and finances. There are also family issues, church issues, and community issues I have to think about and confront. Never mind what that other person said or did that has no relevance to my own life.
Pray God gets me in that house and the landlord gives me that house please oh please I pray for me fellow believers I get this house sap every one amen
So we should strive to be imperfect? We are ALL already there where we stand right now. Jesus does not tell us to strive to be like one another but like Him!
Obviously Jesus is not materialistic. At the same time, if we consider his words in the context of Jews being brutally dominated by the Roman occupying force, he is saying, "Rome will fall," when he says desolation will come for some. That being said, I think he is not saying poverty is a blessing. He is saying you are blessed for aligning yourself with God through your trials, and dealing with brutal Roman occupation
Jesus Christ is the only one Jesus Christ, you cannot be like Him. All we have to do is to Follow Him. He said "Follow Me" and he did not said Be like me. This is a false teaching, remember Satan wanted to be like Jesus Christ.
Got the right idea for the most part, just too much (for me) lame preacher stuff. Just exposit the Scripture and quit trying to be a stand-up comedian. Steve Gregg is an example to follow in style and substance.
Let love rain, like sweet mercy from heaven. Let mercy flow like waves and waves flowing richly from the heart of God. May love arise ... may mercy come forth ... may love and mercy bring forth hearts of compassion. Compassion for the lost, compassion for the thirsty, compassion for the hungry, compassion for the poor, compassion for the homeless, compassion for others. Not in just words or deeds done, but from the depths of the heart seeking to give Glory to God through open arms embracing the needs of others. May we look with the heart of God. May we see with his eyes or mercy and compassion and may we do all things to His Glory. For the river of God is love, may it flow richly through us. For the river of God is sweet mercy, may it flow richly through us. For the river of God is compassion, may they see it in our eyes, hear it from our hearts and see it through open arms embracing the needs of others. - May we place others even before ourselves.
First realize all the Truth what was spoken by Jesus to all of us. Can I carry the Heavy Cross ? Can I bear the Betrayal ? can I take the beating? Can I bear all the suffering NO NO No as human . But Jesus is Divine and Human God only gave Jesus all His Mercy.
In order to become more like Jesus - you must be willing to LOVE and FORGIVE UNCONDITIONALLY. That means when you have been deeply wronged by others - you will be willing to abstain from seeking justice or the means to persecute them. Because when you do that - you put yourself directly in harmony with the Love - which is God-active-within you - even so will you be spared in times of trouble. For I tell you truly: true forgiveness is the state of understanding the other person and their reasons for their behavior so clearly that you can say in all honesty - there is nothing to forgive. Therefore FORGIVE - and if you cannot forgive easily because Satan will not let you - then bring your hurt and anger to God and ask for His inflow of Spiritual Directing Power to gently ease and remove the burden from your mind. Will religious teachers tell us this? No! They did not when Jesus was on earth - and they will not now. Indeed - those who occupy the highest positions in the most powerful nations and cause the most horrific damage in the world - are received with pomp and ceremonies - smiles and handshakes by religious teachers. The blind grip hands and give blessings to the blind.
- [ ] What if God canceled His human creation who would be saved??? - [ ] For God so loved that He gave His only Son so that those who chose to believe in the final blood sacrifice would be saved. It’s His blood that washes it away: For He is moved by the human spirit of belief and faith so that person can be restored by kneeling and submission. - [ ] Submission gives Him permission to do His renovations of the heart that’s ware He starts. See testimonials. - [ ] Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (bible ) for further information.
I am familiar with Isaiah 53:2 "He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him". But please tell me where the scriptures declare Jesus to actually be "ugly" ( offensive to the sight or unpleasant to any sense; Hideous by definition of the word) ? Perhaps the inference is more an indication that he was more average and ordinary looking, not one who stood out in a crowd like an incredibly attractive individual who would be judged and attract others solely by appearance? I think we need to be so careful not to add nor take away from scripture...It's "the little foxes, that spoil the vines". Song of Solomon 2:15. Please study this out. Pure untainted truth from Holy Scripture and digging deep into original Greek and Hebrew meaning with the whole council of God should be what we accept as truth.

You will be just like Jesus who was just like His Father, here and now and in the twinkling of an eye. Now go and forgive those who hurt you so your heavenly Father will forgive you.

Can someone help me?! The more I read the bible and think about this stuff the more it stresses me out! It's like I'm always trying to change myself and be perfect like Jesus. However, it stresses me out thinking that I will constantly be working and humbling myself like this for the rest my life. Does it ever get better? It's making me depressed thinking about it all the time and I get in very dark head spaces sometimes. Everyone in church seems so happy, but I overthink about it and get depressed! Being perfect sounds like a terrible existence to me! Can someone explain this for me?
Ryan, I don't know if I can help you personally, but I know God can. I have simlier feelings and struggles as you, that my pass sins are to too great to be forgiven, but I have found through a friend I share God's word with just about every morning, that it is not what I can do for myself but what I let God have control of. I submit to God our Lord Jesus Christ every morning that He does with me as he's sees fit. And I try to remember that the ruler of this world, the devil, is constantly trying to separate me from Jesus by putting thoughts in my mind that I not worthy. That's wrong, John 3:16 NKJV - “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Have Faith Ryan in Jesus to do what you struggle with and find comfort I Him. God bless you and I hope this helps. P.S. this thought comes to me to share with you, the path to be like our Lord Jesus is narrow, think of it this way, it's like trying to ride your bike on a curb, you will often fall off, but get back on and try again.
hi Ryan, i remember being stressed about this at one point. we have to remember that God loves us no matter what. we'll never be perfect, but as long as we're trying to follow God and His example, He will acknowledge that. with that being said, we also have to remember being a follower of Christ does not just mean that we follow Him with our actions, its also about having faith and growing a relationship with Him (and spreading the Gospel). that's what God truly wants. when we focus on who God is, how he loves us, and letting him love us, we eventually are able to do the things Jesus did because some of the things that we try do as humans could never be possible without God and His love. letting those negative thoughts in blocks us from God's love. but if those thoughts continue, i recommend praying and asking God for his peace, to clear your mind so that you can see His amazing love and help you remember that even though you are not perfect, God still loves you and wants to and can help you. always go to God with your problems, be vulnerable with Him because you are safe in His love and presence. also read the bible, listen to worship music, watch videos that help you remember God. always find a way to fill your mind with God because then there's no space left for fear, doubt, anxiety, or anything negative. worship and praise God in your doubt, anxiety, fear etc... because no matter what we're going through, we can find stability and comfort in God because His love for us is always as great as it was yesterday, today, tomorrow and forever.

A very blessed sermon, took me back on track on my faith and to continue to let God's word work in me and renew myself each day. "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2
Good word but way too comical for me. This kind of acting/ theatrics is distracting. Lets get serious when presenting the Word and leave the comic show alone.
So, if you don't do everything Jesus says, you're going to hell? Well, I guess we'll all be there. You'll never become like Jesus in this life. The only way to be saved is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. You're a sinner. We're all sinners. There are none good but God. Since we're sinners, we'll never earn our way to heaven. You'll never earn eternal life. It's a free gift from God when you trust Jesus to save you. You can't save yourself. Start listening to Jesus Christ. "John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life." There is no argument. JESUS SAYS: Believe on me and you HAVE everlasting life. End of argument. The entire Bible says the same thing. Then, after you're SAVED (past tense), you should do good works and follow Jesus. But, you will mess up. A bad thought is a sin. You can't be perfect in this life like Jesus. If anyone believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, they are saved in a moment. They have received everlasting life and that means it never ends. You don't earn it. It's given to you through JESUS ALONE. Salvation isn't about you and your goodness.

True Words Christian to the best of our ability. Yes Christ should be on the forefront of our minds all the time in how we speak act think choose to handle situations. All things through Christ. We will fall short cause we are human but that is our highest possible aim and our purpose on earth yes that is exactly what I’m saying. You will never be able to serve Jesus 100% of the time the rest of your life. We make decisions every day that puts me, me, me above God. If you don't, that's absolutely amazing! We can try our best and do our best, but we will fail. The Apostle Paul couldn't do it, and he was a great Christian. Somehow, though, "Christians" today think they are better than the Apostle Paul. We are sinners in the flesh, and you will never get rid of all your sin. Yes, we should try our best but we are ONLY saved through the blood of Jesus Christ. Don't add anything else to salvation. Jesus didn't. Read John 6:47 again and again. When are you saved? At some later point in life? After you die? When does it happen? Jesus says I can be saved right now in John 6:47. In John 5:24, Jesus says I can be passed from death unto life right now. You can be saved right now by believing what John 5:24 says.
Is possible to love people that don't love you me and my mother-in-law had a evil relationship and because she saw the love that I had for that Jesus put in me she was able to see the love that Jesus had for her

When your workplace or school, or anyone else is getting drunk, having an orgy of extramarital sex, accepting homosexuality and other perversions as normal, cursing like sailors, and doing anything else you know are sins simply abstain. Don't be one to cuss, save yourself for marriage, abstain from alcohol, and don't follow those who espouse unbiblical practices. You don't have to directly confront them, just don't respond in a way that affirms their beliefs. If they ask, you say homosexuality is wrong. It is a sin against God and not normal sexual behavior.

For the first time ever, I have heard a pastor preach what every preacher, through out the ages, should have been, and should be preaching - its the First Commandment: Love the Lord your God with all of your heart...etc. We break God's Commandment if we don't follow it. A Christian should: live With the Holy Spirit, live In the Holy Spirit, and live For the Holy Spirit. Then, we will truly Love God because the Holy Spirit will be living in us. There is no alternative. When the Lord talked of the "narrow path", its actually a very narrow path - no place in it for the world. We are in the world, but not of it. Hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל, "God with us" in human flesh but without sin. The Savior of the world was born to die for our sins! He did so 33 years later. His terrible ordeal; body mutilated; blood poured out, finally died (He had the power over death!) (John chapter 19 verse 30; Luke chapter 23: verse 46 ) and was placed in a tomb and rose from the dead the 3rd day ! "HE IS RISEN" Matthew chapter 28: verse 6.

Those who reject the free gift of salvation, see John chapter 3: verse 16 above, "perish", which means their sins are judged by God the Son and they suffer eternal separation from God and the family of God forever called the "second death". I find judgement of others to be kind of exhausting. I listen to people who regularly criticize and gossip about other people. Honestly, I don't much care what that other person did or does, or how they dress, or what they said. I got enough of my own problems to worry about. Yes, I need to treat them kindly and care about them as people, but I have way too many issues to be constantly criticizing others. I have my own flaws, insecurities, sinful tendencies, and plenty of other messes to worry about. There are personal issues with my own walk with God, with school, with work and finances. There are also family issues, church issues, and community issues I have to think about and confront. Never mind what that other person said or did that has no relevance to my own life.

Jesus Christ is the only one Jesus Christ, you cannot be like Him. All we have to do is to Follow Him. He said "Follow Me" and he did not said Be like me. This is a false teaching, remember Satan wanted to be like Jesus Christ.
For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.

First realize all the Truth what was spoken by Jesus to all of us. Can I carry the Heavy Cross ? Can I bear the Betrayal ? can I take the beating? Can I bear all the suffering NO NO No as human . But Jesus is Divine and Human God only gave Jesus all His Mercy.
In order to become more like Jesus - you must be willing to LOVE and FORGIVE UNCONDITIONALLY.
That means when you have been deeply wronged by others - you will be willing to abstain from seeking justice or the means to persecute them. Because when you do that - you put yourself directly in harmony with the Love - which is God-active-within you - even so will you be spared in times of trouble.
For I tell you truly: true forgiveness is the state of understanding the other person and their reasons for their behavior so clearly that you can say in all honesty - there is nothing to forgive.
Therefore FORGIVE - and if you cannot forgive easily because Satan will not let you - then bring your hurt and anger to God and ask for His inflow of Spiritual Directing Power to gently ease and remove the burden from your mind.
Will religious teachers tell us this? No! They did not when Jesus was on earth - and they will not now.
Indeed - those who occupy the highest positions in the most powerful nations and cause the most horrific damage in the world - are received with pomp and ceremonies - smiles and handshakes by religious teachers. The blind grip hands and give blessings to the blind.

I am familiar with Isaiah 53:2 "He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him". But please tell me where the scriptures declare Jesus to actually be "ugly" ( offensive to the sight or unpleasant to any sense; Hideous by definition of the word) ? Perhaps the inference is more an indication that he was more average and ordinary looking, not one who stood out in a crowd like an incredibly attractive individual who would be judged and attract others solely by appearance? I think we need to be so careful not to add nor take away from scripture...It's "the little foxes, that spoil the vines". Song of Solomon 2:15. Please study this out. Pure untainted truth from Holy Scripture and digging deep into original Greek and Hebrew meaning with the whole council of God should be what we accept as truth.

Can someone help me?! The more I read the bible and think about this stuff the more it stresses me out! It's like I'm always trying to change myself and be perfect like Jesus. However, it stresses me out thinking that I will constantly be working and humbling myself like this for the rest my life. Does it ever get better? It's making me depressed thinking about it all the time and I get in very dark head spaces sometimes. Everyone in church seems so happy, but I overthink about it and get depressed!
Being perfect sounds like a terrible existence to me! Can someone explain this for me?

Ryan, I don't know if I can help you personally, but I know God can. I have simlier feelings and struggles as you, that my pass sins are to too great to be forgiven, but I have found through a friend I share God's word with just about every morning, that it is not what I can do for myself but what I let God have control of. I submit to God our Lord Jesus Christ every morning that He does with me as he's sees fit. And I try to remember that the ruler of this world, the devil, is constantly trying to separate me from Jesus by putting thoughts in my mind that I not worthy. That's wrong, John 3:16 NKJV - “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Have Faith Ryan in Jesus to do what you struggle with and find comfort I Him.

P.S. this thought comes to me to share with you, the path to be like our Lord Jesus is narrow, think of it this way, it's like trying to ride your bike on a curb, you will often fall off, but get back on and try again.
hi Ryan, i remember being stressed about this at one point. we have to remember that God loves us no matter what. we'll never be perfect, but as long as we're trying to follow God and His example, He will acknowledge that. with that being said, we also have to remember being a follower of Christ does not just mean that we follow Him with our actions, its also about having faith and growing a relationship with Him (and spreading the Gospel). that's what God truly wants. when we focus on who God is, how he loves us, and letting him love us, we eventually are able to do the things Jesus did because some of the things that we try do as humans could never be possible without God and His love. letting those negative thoughts in blocks us from God's love. but if those thoughts continue, i recommend praying and asking God for his peace, to clear your mind so that you can see His amazing love and help you remember that even though you are not perfect, God still loves you and wants to and can help you. always go to God with your problems, be vulnerable with Him because you are safe in His love and presence. also read the bible, listen to worship music, watch videos that help you remember God. always find a way to fill your mind with God because then there's no space left for fear, doubt, anxiety, or anything negative. worship and praise God in your doubt, anxiety, fear etc... because no matter what we're going through, we can find stability and comfort in God because His love for us is always as great as it was yesterday, today, tomorrow and forever.

So, if you don't do everything Jesus says, you're going to hell? Well, I guess we'll all be there. You'll never become like Jesus in this life. The only way to be saved is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. You're a sinner. We're all sinners. There are none good but God. Since we're sinners, we'll never earn our way to heaven. You'll never earn eternal life. It's a free gift from God when you trust Jesus to save you. You can't save yourself. Start listening to Jesus Christ. "John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life." There is no argument. JESUS SAYS: Believe on me and you HAVE everlasting life. End of argument. The entire Bible says the same thing. Then, after you're SAVED (past tense), you should do good works and follow Jesus. But, you will mess up. A bad thought is a sin. You can't be perfect in this life like Jesus. If anyone believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, they are saved in a moment. They have received everlasting life and that means it never ends. You don't earn it. It's given to you through JESUS ALONE. Salvation isn't about you and your goodness.
We need to give up ourselves and our ego and turn our will over to Christ. That’s true repentance.

You will never be able to serve Jesus 100% of the time the rest of your life. We make decisions every day that puts me, me, me above God. If you don't, that's absolutely amazing! We can try our best and do our best, but we will fail. The Apostle Paul couldn't do it, and he was a great Christian. Somehow, though, "Christians" today think they are better than the Apostle Paul. We are sinners in the flesh, and you will never get rid of all your sin. Yes, we should try our best but we are ONLY saved through the blood of Jesus Christ. Don't add anything else to salvation. Jesus didn't. Read John 6:47 again and again. When are you saved? At some later point in life? After you die? When does it happen? Jesus says I can be saved right now in John 6:47. In John 5:24, Jesus says I can be passed from death unto life right now. You can be saved right now by believing what John 5:24 says.
