Just watched Sugar hill starring wesley snipes. Man my parents use to jam to this. When you are a kid you like the music, but you dont appreciate it until you become an adult and experience life.
Now this what I called Real R&B. Their vocals were flawless, smooth, soulful and unmatched, harmony on their songs was always top tier; when I say I wish I could go back to Real R&B this what I meant. The 70s, 80s and 90s was the golden era for R&B. Damn I wish Melvin was still here with us, his vocals were everything on this song.

This song "Gonna Love You Right" and "Baby I'm for Real" by After 7 takes me back to my childhood in the 90's when I was in Bowden Elementary School on the Eastside of San Antonio when I lived on the block of Lamar St and Willow St and me and friends used to play in the streets back down memory lane in my hood the good old days.
Now this...this is REAL music, REAL R&B music!! What passes for R&B or music in general doesn't, and never will, hold a candle to the music of the 80's and 90's..when music was just the Ultimate!!!!

I love this song. Me and my man got into an argument earlier and I like to listen to music to ease my mind. I love all R&B 90s music. This group was one of my favorites and they're also my go to music when I get in my feelings and ease my mind.
You really never "get over" you're first love, sometimes you have to let go, move on (because they do or life gets in the way..etc), but you never really get that person out of you're heart, there's always a small part of them that just stays with you!! Ain't love grand?!?! lol
